Every staff member we have met this week are kind and caring towards my mum.
Although it is very early days, my initial thoughts are that she will be treated well and shown kindness. Which is so important to all of the family.
Thank you to the staff for making my mum feel welcome!
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your lovely comments. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Please let us know if there is anything more we can do to make your Mum's stay as comfortable as possible.
My aunt has recently passed away at the age of 99. She was a resident in The Sidcup Care Home for two and a half years. She was always treated with the utmost kindness and care. On her passing, the staff have been very helpful during this difficult time.
We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us your kind comments. We are always glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time. Hopefully, it is a big comfort for you to know your aunt received the best care possible.
I and my family would like to thank The Sidcup Care Home for the great care that they took of my mother. The whole team at the home are marvellous, professional caring people. She was at the home for over four years until her passing in December. The whole team there from reception, nurses, carers, entertainment team, housekeeping, catering, administration to hairdressing did a wonderful job. My mother was very happy and well cared for at the home, please pass on our thanks to all of the staff there.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your lovely review. Hopefully knowing how well your mother was cared for gives you comfort now. Thank you again for your kind review.
Our family were very happy with the care that Mum received at The Sidcup Care Home. All of the staff on the Granville floor and the reception and admin staff were very kind and the fact that Mum was kept comfortable and cared for will be a comfort to us going forward.
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to have given your mum the best comfort and kindness. Hopefully, you can go away from this knowing she received the best care possible.
On the surface, the staff are very friendly and look efficient. Appearances can be deceptive. My mother was in there for 3 weeks. She had been feeling unwell and we both asked for a doctor on several occasions.
We went in to bring her home for the day and as soon as I saw her lying on the bed I knew something was seriously wrong. She was contorted and delirious. She couldn't even stand up! I immediately decided to take her to A&E.
The staff suddenly came out of nowhere and were all flustered and in panic. I gave them a piece of my mind and we left.
On arrival at the hospital. My mother was found to be severely dehydrated and with an extremely high rate of infection in her blood. These people are supposed to care!
I made an official Complaint. Waste of time. There are also no safety measures for visitors. We walked in and cleared her room without being questioned at all! I could have been anybody!
Thank you for your feedback we do take all concerns seriously. We are aware of this concern and that a response has been issued in line with our complaints policy.
I went into The Sidcup care home in October for a week. Although I never saw a manager, the staff were friendly and caring. Night-time staff lacked experience putting on the sheath at night, which resulted in wet beds for me for six nights and made me feel very disappointed. I didn't get offered a shower every day. Although I could shower myself, I was waiting to be told it was my turn.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We have a genuine regard for all of our residents and our residents' health and well-being are an absolute priority. We will discuss your feedback with the home's manager to help them continually improve their service.
This seems to be a very well-run and caring home. It is always clean and tidy and the staff are excellent. My mother has only been there since the end of May and they have done everything possible to assist her and keep me informed. I am unable to comment on the activities as Mum is bedridden and therefore, does not join in.
Thank you for your lovely review. We hope The Sidcup care home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
When I arrived to visit Dad, he was upset for some reason. There were two lady carers with him, like a pair of angels trying to console him. I was impressed. The carers are so kind and patient with Dad and no doubt, with the other residents there too. They are always nice to me too.
Thank you for your kind words. It is always nice to hear words like "kind" and "patient" being used to describe our care. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your Dad's stay as comfortable as possible and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
From the first day at the home, the staff have been very helpful, thoughtful and considerate. From the receptionists, carers, hairdresser and senior management, she has been cared for in a loving manner. She is always tidy, clean, hair done, happy and relaxed. The staff are always on hand to help with her phone. The home is very clean and welcoming. The family are very pleased with the home, it's a lovely place.
Thank you for your feedback, we are very happy to hear you and your family feel at ease with your Mother in our care. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to continue making her stay as comfortable as possible.
It's such a lovely home, the staff are so caring and attentive and really are a credit to the home and the company. Both my grandparents were residents here until their passing and it really was a lovely place for them to spend their final days. I do hope that all the staff are praised for their hard work, care and compassion that they showed every day to my Nanny. Please thank everyone for the great job that they do.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always nice to hear words like "caring" and "attentive" being used to describe our care. Hopefully, you will go away from this feeling like your loved ones received the best possible care.
Food is important to people who are bed-bound. Poor service of food, and not knowing how to provide food to a person in bed is serious. Food served late and cold is very bad. Failing to provide what was ordered is also bad. Food that is overcooked is uneatable. In this home all the above has become worse over the last three years, despite bringing this to the attention of the management, there has been no change. They just don't care. Staff shortage makes life difficult for occupants.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We have a genuine regard for all of our residents and our resident's health and well-being is an absolute priority. We will discuss your feedback with the home's manager to help them continually improve their service.
Everything is excellent.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your feedback.
My mother has been a resident since December 2021. There were teething issues in the beginning due to covid restrictions and issues with my mum's care but my initial feelings have been overturned by one or two staff members who really care and can appreciate my feelings as well as my mum's. All in all, it is now a very good experience for me and my mum.
Thank you for your feedback. It is nice to hear that your feelings have been overturned due to the staff members that take the time to appreciate not only your mum's feelings but yours as well. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
I am very pleased that my father is getting good care.

It is a great pleasure for me to review Sidcup care home. The staff are all lovely and caring. My mother is very content here and I am perfectly happy with the excellent care she receives. The staff go the extra mile to make sure my mum is happy and loved. Well done Granville floor.

Mum has been cared for so beautifully throughout the pandemic. We have been thoroughly updated on her health and general wellbeing. The staff have been her family throughout this difficult period and she could not have received more love and attention. We are so grateful to everyone at The Sidcup for their tireless devotion to the residents.
