The Sidcup Care Home

I would highly recommend the staff and care home for putting the resident's needs and welfare at the top of the list. They are kind and caring as you would want for your relative.

I booked to stay after major surgery for two weeks and found it restful - great staff, and it allowed me to start my recovery before going home. I found the medical staff excellent and very caring.

My father recently spent his last few days at The Sidcup Care Home. Being a new resident, the staff did not get a chance to know Dad, or us, before he passed away, yet the care and compassion shown were exceptional. From the moment we entered the home to look around, when choosing a place for Dad, there was an immediate feeling of warmth and welcome. Choosing a home for a loved one is difficult but The Sidcup is definitely worth a visit to get a feel for the home.

My aunt has recently passed away at the age of 99. She was a resident in The Sidcup Care Home for two and a half years. She was always treated with the utmost kindness and care. On her passing, the staff have been very helpful during this difficult time.

I and my family would like to thank The Sidcup Care Home for the great care that they took of my mother. The whole team at the home are marvellous, professional caring people. She was at the home for over four years until her passing in December. The whole team there from reception, nurses, carers, entertainment team, housekeeping, catering, administration to hairdressing did a wonderful job. My mother was very happy and well cared for at the home, please pass on our thanks to all of the staff there.

Our family were very happy with the care that Mum received at The Sidcup Care Home. All of the staff on the Granville floor and the reception and admin staff were very kind and the fact that Mum was kept comfortable and cared for will be a comfort to us going forward.

I made an official Complaint. Waste of time. There are also no safety measures for visitors. We walked in and cleared her room without being questioned at all! I could have been anybody!

I went into The Sidcup care home in October for a week. Although I never saw a manager, the staff were friendly and caring. Night-time staff lacked experience putting on the sheath at night, which resulted in wet beds for me for six nights and made me feel very disappointed. I didn't get offered a shower every day. Although I could shower myself, I was waiting to be told it was my turn.

This seems to be a very well-run and caring home. It is always clean and tidy and the staff are excellent. My mother has only been there since the end of May and they have done everything possible to assist her and keep me informed. I am unable to comment on the activities as Mum is bedridden and therefore, does not join in.

When I arrived to visit Dad, he was upset for some reason. There were two lady carers with him, like a pair of angels trying to console him. I was impressed. The carers are so kind and patient with Dad and no doubt, with the other residents there too. They are always nice to me too.

From the first day at the home, the staff have been very helpful, thoughtful and considerate. From the receptionists, carers, hairdresser and senior management, she has been cared for in a loving manner. She is always tidy, clean, hair done, happy and relaxed. The staff are always on hand to help with her phone. The home is very clean and welcoming. The family are very pleased with the home, it's a lovely place.

It's such a lovely home, the staff are so caring and attentive and really are a credit to the home and the company. Both my grandparents were residents here until their passing and it really was a lovely place for them to spend their final days. I do hope that all the staff are praised for their hard work, care and compassion that they showed every day to my Nanny. Please thank everyone for the great job that they do.

Food is important to people who are bed-bound. Poor service of food, and not knowing how to provide food to a person in bed is serious. Food served late and cold is very bad. Failing to provide what was ordered is also bad. Food that is overcooked is uneatable. In this home all the above has become worse over the last three years, despite bringing this to the attention of the management, there has been no change. They just don't care. Staff shortage makes life difficult for occupants.

Everything is excellent.

My mother has been a resident since December 2021. There were teething issues in the beginning due to covid restrictions and issues with my mum's care but my initial feelings have been overturned by one or two staff members who really care and can appreciate my feelings as well as my mum's. All in all, it is now a very good experience for me and my mum.

I am very pleased that my father is getting good care.

Very friendly, caring atmosphere. Very clean, comfortable surroundings and attentive staff. Feel very happy my in-laws are being looked after.

I visit a friend who is a resident in the home. The staff are always very helpful and always happy. I know my friend is cared for very well as the staff are always so kind.

My mum is very settled in this care home. She is happy with the caring staff and she enjoys the food.
