The Sidcup offers nursing and residential care, both long-term and short stay care.

The home is a purpose-built with modern comforts and conveniences. It prides itself on its warm and homely environment where residents can relax and feel safe inside the home and in the gardens. All bedrooms have en suite facilities and are furnished to a high standard.

The home consists of two floors, with dining rooms and lounges on each floor. The home also benefits from its own cinema lounge, large well- maintained gardens, its own hairdressing salon, and private lounge, ideal for family events and celebrations. The home has visiting professionals such as physiotherapists and chiropodists.

As an enhanced service to residents, weekly GP visits are conducted at The Sidcup Care Home, enabling residents to receive regular, personalised medical reviews as part of their approach to person-centred care.

At mealtimes a wide range of nutritious dishes are offered, always made with fresh ingredients. Residents’ dietary needs and personal preferences are always taken into account by the chef. The chef will visit residents to make tailored menus if necessary. There are regular tea rounds throughout the day with fresh cakes after lunch.

As well as regular, organised activities such as quizzes, bingo, film afternoons, board games and arts and crafts sessions, trips out to local places of interest, visiting entertainers and pantomimes, as well as tai chi and holistic massage and aromatherapy.

Overall, I have found this home very good. Staff are caring and kind. Food is good, served in a clean and beautiful environment. The choice to eat in your own room is extra special. The garden is very pretty and well-maintained. Chiropody and hairdressing on site are very pleasing, offering a manicure
is a bonus. Many activities are provided and are fun, especially the exercises. Time allowed for going outside with residents, helping them to finally walk alone, seems very limited. Staff at times are too rushed, creating unwelcome tension, therefore, more staff are necessary.

My father was looked after exceptionally well during his 2 year stay in The Sidcup Care Home. He was always happy, chatting with the staff, particularly when they were bringing round the tea trolley.

We have been very satisfied with the care provided by staff at the home. The important matters for us are; quality of care, the empathy and experience of staff, cleanliness, quality and variety of food, and medical and healthcare support. We have no hesitation in giving a high rating for each off these.
The home is well-managed. We needed time to satisfy ourselves as to whether simple respite or long term stay was the most appropriate and we were not hurried into a decision, there was an appreciation that these decisions take time to reach and implement.

Very pleasant, relaxed and comfortable short stay, giving the family a well-deserved break. Supportive, caring and dedicated staff trying their best to keep everything running smoothly, but one can see the need for extra hands which will help in the long run. This would also enable them to give a little

I was very impressed by the excellent services provided by The Sidcup Care Home and the entire staff's dedication, patience and care. The management team have always been very helpful and polite and has given me a lot of support. I would also like to thank the chefs for the excellent meals they prepared.
The reception staff are exceptionally nice and friendly. I would, without any hesitation, give the care home and all its staff a 10/10. Please keep it up. A big thank you to all of you.

I spent two weeks here because my wife had an operation and needed recovery time, I was really apprehensive at first but everyone from the reception to every member of staff was welcoming, caring, helpful and friendly, which took away any anxiety. The food was very good. I cannot fault any aspect of
my stay.

The whole team has been so helpful and supportive with my father's placement. They are so compassionate and caring to me and him in this stressful time. They even celebrated his eighty-ninth birthday with banners and a cake when we couldn't make it.

It was my husband who went into care to give me a break, this is the second time he had gone to this home and the staff seemed very nice. He has dementia so it is hard a true picture for me to give you.

Mum was placed in The Sidcup Care Home for respite after a stay in hospital for almost a month.
Although this is not a dementia care home (which my mum has), they treated her very well, with dignity and care. They kept in constant contact with myself, making sure everything was being put in place
and contacted me straight away when a doctor had to be called.
I would highly recommend the staff and care home for putting the resident's needs and welfare at the top of the list. They are kind and caring as you would want for your relative.

I booked to stay after major surgery for two weeks and found it restful - great staff, and it allowed me to start my recovery before going home. I found the medical staff excellent and very caring.

My father recently spent his last few days at The Sidcup Care Home. Being a new resident, the staff did not get a chance to know Dad, or us, before he passed away, yet the care and compassion shown were exceptional. From the moment we entered the home to look around, when choosing a place for Dad, there
was an immediate feeling of warmth and welcome. Choosing a home for a loved one is difficult but The Sidcup is definitely worth a visit to get a feel for the home.

I and my family would like to thank The Sidcup Care Home for the great care that they took of my mother. The whole team at the home are marvellous, professional caring people. She was at the home for over four years until her passing in December. The whole team there from reception, nurses, carers,
entertainment team, housekeeping, catering, administration to hairdressing did a wonderful job. My mother was very happy and well cared for at the home, please pass on our thanks to all of the staff there.

Do not put your loved one in this home.
On the surface, the staff are very friendly and look efficient. Appearances can be deceptive. My mother was in there for 3 weeks. She had been feeling unwell and we both asked for a doctor on several occasions.
We went in to bring her home for the day and
as soon as I saw her lying on the bed I knew something was seriously wrong. She was contorted and delirious. She couldn't even stand up! I immediately decided to take her to A&E.
The staff suddenly came out of nowhere and were all flustered and in panic. I gave them a piece of my mind and we left.
On arrival at the hospital. My mother was found to be severely dehydrated and with an extremely high rate of infection in her blood. These people are supposed to care!
I made an official Complaint. Waste of time. There are also no safety measures for visitors. We walked in and cleared her room without being questioned at all! I could have been anybody!

I went into The Sidcup care home in October for a week. Although I never saw a manager, the staff were friendly and caring. Night-time staff lacked experience putting on the sheath at night, which resulted in wet beds for me for six nights and made me feel very disappointed. I didn't get offered a shower
every day. Although I could shower myself, I was waiting to be told it was my turn.

This seems to be a very well-run and caring home. It is always clean and tidy and the staff are excellent. My mother has only been there since the end of May and they have done everything possible to assist her and keep me informed. I am unable to comment on the activities as Mum is bedridden and therefore,
does not join in.

When I arrived to visit Dad, he was upset for some reason. There were two lady carers with him, like a pair of angels trying to console him. I was impressed. The carers are so kind and patient with Dad and no doubt, with the other residents there too. They are always nice to me too.
