A big thank you to all the staff at Purley Gardens for making my Mum's stay an enjoyable, memorable, and happy time, we are all very grateful indeed.
Thank you so much for your lovely review which I will share with the team - they will be so pleased to hear that Mum enjoyed her stay and we would be delighted to welcome her back at Purley Gardens anytime. Warm regards.
The home has great food and an excellent range of activities each day which I'm really impressed with.
I'm relieved my husband is here, I don't have to pretend it's ok because it's better than I thought it would be.
Thank you so much for your lovely review - we are so pleased that he is settling in well, and it has been lovely getting to know him and his wonderful family and friends.
Nice room, good food and friendly staff. There is a pleasant atmosphere and plenty of activities to occupy the residents. Well-kept garden to sit outside when the weather permits. I am happy that my uncle is well looked after.
Thank you so much for your review and we are so pleased that your lovely Uncle is enjoying being with us.
Everybody has been so kind, caring and considerate since my husband entered the home. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Also their consideration toward me is marvellous. I cannot praise them enough.
Thank you so much for your review. We know how much it means to you that your loved one has settled into our home and become a much-loved member of our community (as are you). We really appreciate your feedback which will be passed on to the team - thank you!
My mum has been in Purley Gardens since the end of November. We had heard good things about it and been to visit a few times before deciding it was the right place. The staff and team there are always so friendly, kind and helpful. They’re more than willing to help with any queries, and I really feel Mum is in the best place there. It’s a great place to visit, always clean, and the food served is excellent. I really recommend it as a home in the Croydon area.
Thank you so much for your review, Gabbie - it's really helpful for other families seeking care to hear from families and hear about their experiences. We are really enjoying getting to know your lovely Mum and are so pleased that she has settled in very well. Thank you again.
I cannot fault the care and attention that my father has received during his respite stay at Purley Gardens. The staff are all welcoming and approachable, with nothing being too much trouble. Thank you.
Thank you for your review- we are so pleased that your dad has enjoyed his time with us - he is such a lovely addition to our community and we so enjoy having him with us.
Despite changing staff over that time, she was well cared for and I am delighted she could spend her last years in a lovely room at this very modern care home.
Thank you for your review. Your aunt was a lovely lady who was loved by everyone here and we miss her. We so enjoyed celebrating her 106th birthday with her, what an achievement!
The room was ideal, all staff were very efficient and very friendly to all members of the family.
The staff were very caring and could not have asked for better.
Thank you for your review. We were delighted to get to know your mum and dad and their lovely family and we are here for you if you ever need us again. Warmest wishes to you all.
I have had a first-class experience with the care home for my darling wife, all the staff have been very caring and of great help to her and to me, once more thank you, keep up the excellent work, I would highly recommend your care home.
We are so pleased that you are happy with your wife's care and as you know, we adore having her with us!
At the beginning of this year, due to her increasing needs, it was suggested that she be moved to the Reminiscence department, which specialises in dealing with residents who have dementia. I was worried about the change, but I spoke at length to management and to the staff on the concierge (always so helpful), who suggested a visit.
My mind was immediately put at ease when I met the manager of Reminiscence. She has created a wonderful community, in which everyone who works there goes way beyond what is expected. My cousin has settled in so well and I cannot thank Purley Gardens enough for the exceptional care that has been shown to her.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are so pleased that your loved one has settled well in our Rem community, she is so sociable, loves joining in with our musical entertainment and is such a pleasure to have around!
Following an extended period my mother-in-law spent in hospital we reviewed and visited a number of local care homes to try and find the best we could for her. I think I can honestly say that Purley Gardens was head and shoulders above the others. Even at the initial visit, we were struck by the friendliness of the staff, the general atmosphere of the care home and how much time we were afforded by the Client Liaison Manager. We were given a choice of rooms and the one chosen is a very good size with a view of the garden. Everyone we have encountered has been friendly and helpful. Also in making all the initial arrangements we have found the staff to be highly responsive which is very important. Most significantly my mother-in-law is doing very well in their care and her general health seems to be improving - she loves the food and seems to be flourishing and very happy.
Thank you so much for your positive review Neil, we are delighted that your lovely mother-in-law has settled into our community so well and is thriving. We are enjoying getting to know her. I will pass on your comments to the team who will be so pleased to see your review. Thank you again.
We have used Avery in Purley twice in the past 18 months for respite care for my mother-in-law. The care from the staff is excellent, always very kind to her and lovely that she was remembered from her previous visit. Always difficult putting a member of the family in for respite care but the team at Purley Gardens help with the transition and make everything as easy as possible.
Thank you for your lovely review - it's good to know that your mother-in-law has had a comfortable stay with us and we look forward to seeing her again in the future. We will make sure the team see your comments as it really makes a difference to know that they have had a positive impact on someone's stay with us. Please give our love and best wishes to your mother-in-law.
My mother was cared for very well in reminiscence. She was always clean, dressed nicely and treated with dignity. When she passed away on 12/7/23, the staff were so wonderful to me and gave me a lot of support.
Thank you for your kind words, we will miss your mum very much.
Have no hesitation in recommending this excellent care home to families and friends who desire a first-class environment for their loved ones. Also, thanks must go to the deputy managers for all their consistent kindness and support over the years.
After Mum's recent passing, we had a wake in the activities lounge - which have to say, far exceeded our expectations. The food prepared by the chef was utterly delicious, and the two staff assisting with functioning this event were amazing and went well above and beyond the call of duty to make this an amazing celebration for Mum's life.
We are so glad to hear of your positive experience and are thankful for your kind comments. As a team, we work together to provide the best experiences for both our residents and family members. Our team here at Signature Purley are so grateful for your comments and your mum will be missed by everyone.
Very helpful, speedy and kind help with installing my own furniture in my room and putting my pictures up on the wall. It feels much more like home and makes a real difference.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of Signature at Purley. Your feedback is important to us, as is the care and well-being of all of our residents. We take great pride in ensuring we deliver high-quality care to make a difference in our residents and their families' lives.
Mother-in-law was hospitalised following a hip and thigh break and became more immobile and confused. She moved into a beautiful room with all her furniture and belongings that instantly made her feel at home. With an amazing team and incredible care and services at a reasonable price compared to many other homes we looked at, my husband, family and I could not be more grateful and relieved!
The team here at Signature at Purley would like to thank you for your kind words. We strive, as a team, to work closely with our residents so we can provide the very best care for each individual in our home, and we are glad to have made a difference.
My mother was at Signature Purley for over two and a half years. The care given over this time was very good. Members of staff went out of their way to look after her and help her, not just carers and medical personnel, but administrators also. Sadly my mother passed away recently, but the end-of-life care she received was exceptional, and the staff showed how much they cared.
Thanks for such a lovely review and for choosing Signature at Purley; your mum will always be remembered fondly.
Following a very poor experience at another nursing home where my mum was extremely unhappy, and there were safeguarding issues, my mum moved to Signature at Purley. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, and there was an immediate change in my mum. I was able to spend more quality time with my mum and participate in weekly entertainment etc. Staff were quick to adapt things to ensure my mum was as happy as possible and kept me fully updated with significant events. Mum was well cared for, food was excellent and plentiful, visitors were made to feel welcome, and the laundry lady took pride in her work and was helpful. All staff should be proud of themselves for providing such wonderful care to their customers. 2022 was a very difficult year for me, and I am so glad that I made the decision to move Mum to Signature at Purley. Sadly my mum passed in July after five weeks at Purley, and I will always be grateful to all staff that I was able to spend five weeks of quality time with Mum. Thank you.
Thanks for your kind words and lovely feedback. Although your Mum's stay was fairly short, she made a big impression and will always be remembered fondly.
I have always been very impressed with the level of care provided by all staff in reminiscence. The nurses are excellent and thorough in providing updates from a medical perspective. The carers are lovely and supportive, and it is so reassuring to know that they have the resident's best interests at heart at all times.
Hi Charlotte, thanks for your lovely words; we really appreciate your feedback.
I have been here for over five years now, and I am very happy. Lots of things to do every day in activities. I like flower arranging and tai-chi the best.
Thank you for the lovely review; it's a pleasure having you with us.
