My father has very complex needs and Vicarage Farm is his third care home in 7 months. Since he arrived here the staff have been so impressive. As soon as you walk in the front door the managers and admin staff greet you personally and the nurses and care assistants really know the residents and take time to update you on how the family member is doing.
Particularly impressive is the rota of activities - I have visited on different days of the week and the activities are always as planned. Whether the resident decides to take part or not, the routine is clearly beneficial for all.

I have run out of words to describe the incredible staff of the vicarage farm care home from the management at the top who clearly select carefully their staff all the way throughout to those who help keep the place organised and clean.
For me personally there is nothing harder than leaving a loved one in the care of others due to limitations in being able to provide them what is needed myself. However, they make me always feel I'm leaving my father in his home and with family such is the atmosphere they create at the care home and the kind diligent care they provide.

Vicarage Farm Nursing home is an exceptional care home, the management is excellent and very approachable and runs the home to a very high standard. I cannot praise the entire team at Vicarage farm nursing home enough for the outstanding care they provide. The registered nurses and care staff are not only highly professional and clinical skilled, but they also treat residents with the utmost dignity and respect. They are incredibly attentive to changing medical needs, manage medications flawlessly, and communicate updates to our family immediately. Knowing that my loved one is in such capable and compassionate hands brings us immense peace of mind.
The nursing home is spotlessly clean, the food is excellent, and there is a vibrant schedule of activities which all the residents appreciate. After a few teething issues when mum moved in (due to complex needs) mum has settled well into the care home. Staff are caring and will do anything to ensure mum is looked after and happy. Activities are great, the deputy manager and office staff are always helpful, the kitchen staff are fantastic, and just in general all staff are lovely. Nurses communicate exceptionally. It is not easy looking after complex needs and they do their very best to look after mum.

My mother has been in this care home for 6 years now. There has been ups and downs especially around the safety of my mother. But with recent meetings and reviews the communication has improved. The head nurse responds to emails to give us updates and to liaise with us regarding any concerns with mums condition. My mum has been very well cared for since moving here. The staff are kind, compassionate, and always treat her with dignity and respect. The home is clean, welcoming, and has a lovely atmosphere.

Our Mum spent her last year or so at Vicarage Farm. VF did an amazing job looking after her. She was exceedingly well cared for. All the staff were very kind and professional. We could not have found a better place for Mum and we are just so glad that she was there.

My mother has been in Vicarage Farm since 2020 of July. The carers and nurses are very lovely and always reassure me of any changes in mum. I'm also impressed as the carers try to communicate with mum in her language as she's not fluent/familiar with English. Feeding can be challenging, but the carers/nurses do their best. Hoping to see more outings as the weather is becoming pleasant.

My mum has now been in the nursing home for just over a year. The care she has received has been amazing. It's always daunting putting a loved one into the care of others, but I have had no concerns in the year my mum has been at Vicarage Farm. She is always clean and smiling, and whenever she sees the nurses and carers, she is smiling ear to ear and is so happy to see them which gives me great peace of mind. The home is always clean and tidy, as is my mum's room. There are always activities and things happening when we go to visit, and they are super inclusive of all special dates within the year. The staff have treated me and my husband with the utmost care and are always super friendly and happy to answer any questions. The manager always has time to give updates on my mum and is always so pleasant to talk to!
I appreciate everything the home has done for my mum and her family and know that this good care will continue.

My uncle has been living in the nursing home since April 2017. There has been significant improvement made over the past four years, which is a credit to the owners and staff. All staff are very friendly, and they care about the residents.

Great care home. Good carers, but some language barriers. Outdoor trips take place (before covid) and indoor activities are good. When taken to the main lounge room, the doors are left open, leading to many items going missing. The car park has two disabled bays, but are used by staff and others without showing blue badges, making visiting sometimes a problem. Dealing great with covid visiting and testing.

In my opinion, putting a relative into care is one of the hardest things one will ever have to do. However, we certainly won the lottery in terms of the level of support, kindness and care, which my elderly mother has received since her admittance to Vicarage Farm. From the management, through to the medical staff and of course, my mother's personal carers, an atmosphere of professionalism and friendliness is always evident by all. It is so reassuring to always know she is being treated not only as a patient, but with the dignity and respect, she deserves as a loving individual.

Dad has settled well into Vicarage Farm. He has been in a few other care homes and also in hospital, but Vicarage Farm is the first place he has really settled and seemed content. The home is kept very clean and there are always events going on to keep the residents stimulated. The staff do a fantastic job and always make us feel very welcome. The manager manages the home very well.
