The home is pleasant, rooms are good, food is very good.
My only concern is the lack of parking space at times.

I have nothing but happy memories of being in Bonnetti House at Capwell Grange. The staff could not have been more friendly and professional. I have met so many good friends in here and have received excellent treatment.
I have no complaints.

I would like to thank the manager of Hatley House for taking good care of my dad while he spent the last 4 1/2 years of his life in Capwell Grange. I would also like to thank the carer who for most of that time, was his one to one personal carer. We do miss coming up every day but do miss our dad even
more, and I know my mum is lost without him!
Thank you once again, and I would and have recommended Hatley to other people. I would like to name you but are not allowed, but the carer will know who you are!

Very impressed with Milliner House in Capwell Grange which offers bright and modern rooms; Mum has a lovely garden area to look out onto.
The staff are very cheerful and give me feedback on how Mum is doing.
They even arranged for representation from the local Roman Catholic church to come in and
see Mum, which didn't happen in her previous home. So glad I moved Mum here, she looks brighter now and seems less agitated.

To all the lovely, dedicated, caring staff at Hatley House. Thank you so much for all the care and attention you showed to my dad during his stay with you. You have made his last days happy and peaceful and treated him with dignity and care right to the end.
He was very lucky and privileged to be
in your care.
Love and best wishes.

Our mother was moved to Capwell Grange in December 2016 after an unhappy time in her previous care home.
She now feels happy, safe and well cared for at Capwell Grange. What enables Capwell Grange to stand out from other care homes of its type is the excellence of its staff.
The unit manager provides
outstanding leadership to her team and they, in turn, provide dedicated and compassionate care to our mother. We are grateful to each and every member of staff for everything they do.

Mum always seems content at the home. Hatley House staff are so welcoming and friendly.
The home often has events such as tea parties, singing and beauty which mum loves. We are always included in meal times and offered food so we can join mum. The garden is lovely and accessible so we can have a walk.
Mum's room is always clean.

It is a comfort to know that my mother-in-law is in the care of professional efficient staff who understand and provide for her needs.
The ever helpful staff are aware of the needs of the families of the residents and it is a pleasure to visit this home.
I have no hesitation in recommending Capwell
Grange to anyone who required dementia care. Hartley House is a credit to the organisation.

My mom has been resident at Capwell for some time and we as a family are very pleased with the care provision. Mom tells us that the staff meet her care needs very well and this gives us tremendous peace of mind. We are able to face time mom and she can see her grandkids and communicate with us. The
nurses call or email us if there are any changes with mom.

At age 98 years, I was admitted to Capwell Grange where I stayed for 28 days, suffering from a lumber spasm and excruciating pain. I was amazed at the wealth of love and kindness plus care that I received which contributed to my recovery and return home. There was a sense of happiness each day. I felt
it was a spring holiday. The food was brilliant. Thank you so much. I am glad I was sent for respite care to Capwell Grange.

Dad has been at Capwell for 3 months. He has a series of health issues including late-stage dementia and diabetes. His care at Capwell has been absolutely marvellous. The staff, all of them, treat him like he is their grandad. The love and care he receives is given freely and consistently. His dignity
is maintained at all times as an ex-military man and teacher, he loves to be well dressed, shaved and clean. The staff are tremendous and a great asset to the HC-One group

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.649)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.649) out of 10 for Capwell Grange Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 38 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 37 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.649 for Capwell Grange Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (333 Excellents x 5) + (85 Goods x 4) + (10 Satisfactorys x 3) + (6 Poors x 2) + (8 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 442 Ratings = 4.649
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Capwell Grange Care Home is based on 37 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 146 registered maximum number of service users is 29.2, which has been reached with 37 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
