The care staff are genuinely caring and do their utmost to make my father happy. The well-being team have been superb at enabling Dads remote family to communicate regularly via video etc. Everybody we came across, from the reception desk to cleaners, is friendly and helpful. Food is absolutely delightful especially the vegetables. All staff tried to please me and were kind and I trusted them. I felt very safe. Unit managers came and checked on me daily to ensure I was happy.

I have found the care and consideration shown to both my mum and myself extremely thoughtful and friendly. Any contact made with the home has always been professional and responsive, calls are returned and messages passed on. Mum's comfort and care is very well considered and tailored to her very specific needs. My mum has always vowed she would not go into a care home but has not once complained or been unhappy.
Dear Janet, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and for providing such positive feedback. We are glad to hear how happy both you and your mother have been with the care received at Hampden Hall. We will pass your feedback onto Juliana and her team. Best wishes, Westgate Healthcare
My mother-in-law has been cared for at Hampden Hall for the past 16 months. The care that she has received over this period has given her the quality of life and personal contentment that she deserves in her final years. Thank you all so much.
Thank you so much for your review, and we are so glad to hear how happy your mother-in-law has been at Hampden Hall. We will pass your feedback onto all the team. Best wishes, Westgate Healthcare
I came to Hampden Hall as I was not able to cope at home. I am very happy with this decision. The staff are all lovely, the girls on the first floor are brilliant, they all treat me with dignity and respect. Great facilities, very big lounge and cinema room. Fish and chips are the best and all food is tasty.
Dear Robert, we are so glad to hear you are enjoying your time at Hampden Hall, and thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We agree the fish and chips are hard to beat! We will pass on your lovely feedback to the home manager and her team. Best wishes, Westgate Healthcare
Whilst my mother may have only been at Hampden Hall for a short space of time, it was the best place for her to spend her last days. The rooms are clean, light and airy and nothing is too much trouble - even locating an Alexa to play Tom Jones ( a fellow 'welshy').
My mother was dealt with, with respect and dignity, spoken to politely and quietly and always given a choice in any activity undertaken from being fed food she liked (changing it if she didn't) to moving her to ensure she was comfortable.
I cannot recommend Hampden Hall Care Centre enough.
Dear Nicola, please accept our condolences for your mother's passing, and thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We are so pleased to hear that your mother was happy and comfortable while receiving end of life care at Hampden Hall. We will ensure your comments are passed onto the manager and all of her team. Best wishes, Westgate Healthcare
A very well person-centred care home with good staff, both nurses and carers. Well lead, everyone is kind and caring. A very safe home that focuses on individual needs, dignity, respect and confidentiality.
Thank you for your very kind, candid review! It’s truly appreciated, best wishes.
My mother-in-law was a resident of Hampden Hall for four years until her death earlier this month. During this period of time, we visited her at least once a week until the pandemic. During this time we were never less than impressed and delighted with the exemplary standard of care provided by the staff at Hampden Hall and by the professionalism and dedication. As visiting relatives, my wife and I were always made to feel welcome by the staff at reception, and by the care staff on her floor. They were always ready to share information about her state of health and any care issues which had arisen, and they were equally open to our ideas, suggestions and concerns. They also kept us fully informed by telephone when necessary. With the easing of restrictions, we were able to visit her shortly before her death and the necessary testing and protective measures were managed very professionally. I would certainly recommend Hampden Hall as a first-class care centre.
Please accept our dearest condolences for the loss of your mother-in-law. We appreciate and thank you for taking the time to review our service. We are delighted to learn that you were impressed by our exemplary standards of care and would like to thank you for your kind ratings and candid review of our home.
Care delivered here is very good. Staff are patient and offering all the time necessary. I am not a fussy eater but the food here is enjoyable and I like it. The cleaning staff are extremely good and they clean my room daily. All staff are very pleasant and helpful on the First Floor.
It's wonderful to hear your positive feedback about your experience at our home! We're very pleased to know that our staff have left a good impression and that you're enjoying your time with us, thank you.
I am perfectly content living here. I can do what I want to do including going out for a walk most days. I am lucky in that I have a pleasant, larger than average room. I do join in some activities but am perfectly happy on my own doing puzzles, reading, and watching television.
Thank you for your kind review. It's lovely to hear that you're enjoying your time at our home, and we appreciate that you've detailed some personal points. If you have any improvements that we can make to our home, please know that we value your ideas and feedback regarding our service, best wishes.
The carers at Hampden Hall are all lovely caring people who look after my mother in very difficult circumstances. They offer compassion to her in her current condition and help to keep her safe and well.
This really means a lot to all of the team here at Hampden Hall in these challenging times. Thank you so much for your lovely feedback about our home and the compassionate care that your mother is receiving.
Hampden Hall is a wonderful care home that truly respects its residents and goes the extra mile. The staff are outstanding - every one of them - they work together to support their residents' needs like one big family. During my brother's stay at the home from June 2019 to August 2020 he was extremely well cared for and nothing was too much trouble. I was really pleased I moved him to Hampden Hall. The way they handled the pandemic under such extreme circumstances should also be commended. They locked down and took extra precautions long before the rest of the country to protect their residents and staff and quickly adapted to ensure residents could video call family members to stay connected. When restrictions were eased they arranged visits outside under a gazebo. To be this adaptable so quickly and professionally is a mark of how passionate they are about their residents and I would not hesitate to recommend Hampden Hall to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review about Hampden Hall Care Centre. It was an absolute pleasure to have your brother stay with us and your kind words about your experience really do mean a lot to all of the team - I will be sure to let them know and thank you once again for your great review!
I am always phoned if there is a problem and I always get very good service from reception when answering my phone calls and given help. The lady on reception has a really good attitude and very friendly and helpful. The carers and nurses on the ground floor are excellent.
Thank you so much for your kind words and great feedback about Hampden Hall. It is very much appreciated by all of us and I will be sure to pass this on to the team.
