All staff have been very caring and helpful. My husband needs 24-hour care and has very little understanding but has settled well and is comfortable with all the staff. I visit on a regular basis and the staff are very welcoming and helpful to me in a very stressful situation.

Thank you for this heartfelt and appreciative review. It is our pleasure to look after your husband.
This home stood out compared to others that we visited.
It was a very difficult time but the care and genuine love felt by the staff was amazing. They are professional and nothing was too much trouble. They responded to any feedback and helped us to feel relieved at leaving our mother. unfortunately, she passed away in the home which they managed with extreme care and we were able to be with her in her final hour. They were genuinely upset and shared our sorrow.
Everyone is approachable has compassion the standards are high. When you are dealing with one of the most difficult times of your life you need to feel confident that you have given your loved one everything that they have deserved.
We would like to thank you for your words of kindness, which are very much appreciated. It’s great to receive feedback from family and friends on the care we provide. All comments will be passed on to the team, and thank you again for the review.
We have found the staff to be absolutely fantastic. Everybody is friendly, compassionate and genuinely invested in the welfare of my father. He has received excellent care from the day that he arrived at Barchester. Nothing is too much trouble for the carers.
Thank you so much for the feedback, I will share it with the team.

I am always impressed by the friendly staff who seem happy to help with anything that is possible. Always made to feel welcome, offered a cup of tea and homemade biscuits. It is a joy to visit. I have not personally experienced the food but the menu looks good. Neither have I taken part in the activities but there are many, sometimes every day.

As I have never been in a care home I didn't know what to expect. I need not have been nervous. I found it very welcoming. Good warm rooms! Very nice food and very pleasant reception and good accommodation. All in all, very comfortable experience.

My family and I are very pleased with how my wife has settled into Chalfont Lodge Care Home. We have found the staff to be very patient with my wife, very accommodating and friendly. We have noticed how the entire home is very clean and organised. My wife really enjoys the food, even eats custard now. This is something she would never eat going to Chalfont Lodge Care Home.

As soon as we walk in the door, we are given a welcome by all the staff; they also ask how we are. Myself and my son are not concerned about anything, which we appreciate very much. The only thing we can say is there seems a shortage of staff at the weekends. We always enjoy the cup of tea we can have with my husband.

The care home has good outdoor space and presents well. After an accident, my son was in a vegetative state and was cared in the residence for 3 years in one of the units. In the last 3 years, the staff has gradually reduced by 40%, this reflected in the care given to the residents. I had to visit and check daily my son's comfort, the care he required, and if his needs were met as he was unable to communicate. When he looked in discomfort I had to ask for painkillers to be given, if his skin had sores I had to ask for a doctor's assessment for creams to be prescribed, I had to check fluid charts if laxative was needed. My son had to sit on a chair supervised for 4 hours and the care home was struggling to assign a carer because more than often there was shortness of staff. Many carers are nice and helpful. The night staff is half of what it was 3 years ago and therefore pushed to the limit. The decline in nursing care contributed to my son's discomfort.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I would like to pass on my sincere condolences again and appreciate this is a really difficult time for you. As we had previously discussed, this was a very complex situation that was carefully managed by our team, and I am very sorry this remains...
Since being admitted to the home, I was very impressed by the greeting and staff. A wheelchair to my care to welcome me. All facilities made working for me. Nice to be called by my Christian name.
Thank you for your valuable feedback. We really appreciate your comments about the care and support provided. I will share your comments with the team .

As a regular visitor, I find the staff helpful and friendly. Inevitably our family visits in the home have recently and regrettably been restricted to his room because of Covid. Where problems arise it is usually caused by a lack of communication.
Kind regards Raj
The staff can't help enough, so lovely and caring. The entire home is very clean and organised. Everyone does an excellent job. The management team are always there to help and are extremely happy to help.
Raj Boodhoo - General Manager.

I have been a registered nurse for over 20 years. I graduated from King's College, London. I have worked in a variety of health & social care settings throughout my career, including NHS & private hospitals, rehabilitation, long-term care, project management, education & dementia care.
I am committed to delivering the very highest standard of care to residents within the home, offering them an opportunity to enjoy life. I enjoy leading my team in a way in which they are empowered to use their skills, knowledge & experience for the well-being of those we support.

Hello! I am Ovi and I am proud to say I am the Clinical Deputy Manager of Chalfont Lodge Care Home. I have progressed from Clinical Lead to my most recent role of Deputy Manager and I am extremely proud to work for Chalfont Lodge.
Myself and our team are really looking forward to welcoming you to our home for a tour, at anytime.

Hi, I'm Raluca I am the clinical lead for Chalfont Lodge. I’ve been a nurse for over 5 years and I can’t imagine doing anything else!

Hello, my name is Maria and I'm the Head of our Turnberry community. I love being a nurse and helping people. I have a wonderful team and love being a part of the Chalfont Lodge Community!

I joined Barchester in 2019 as a carer and have recently been promoted to Head of Sunningdale. I am dedicated to the well-being of our residents and ensuring they receive the best care.

I joined Barchester in 2017 as an administrator at another nursing home in High Wycombe and recently transferred to Chalfont Lodge. Having raised a family, my career started in the customer service/financial sector, working for various organisations. Having always been a people person, it has been so rewarding getting to know all our lovely residents and families. I love being part of a team that is passionate about providing high-quality care and exceptional service.

Hi, I am Zibi, and I have been working at Chalfont Lodge since 2014, when I joined as the 2nd chef. During the last 7 years, I have got to know our residents well, all the special meals they enjoy and helped to celebrate their special occasions like birthdays and special family days.
I have worked in a variety of places, hotels locally and in VIP private hospitality with the well-known chef Michel Roux
I'm very proud to have been promoted to Head Chef here at Chalfont Lodge and look forward to delivering even more fantastic food with my team for the people living and visiting the home.

With over seven years of experience in facilities management across diverse sectors, including private care and education, I have developed a strong expertise in overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations. I am passionate about problem-solving and take pride in my ability to address challenges of any scale. Whether it's routine maintenance or more complex issues, I am committed to finding effective, resourceful solutions.

Hi, I'm Dil and I’m the Head housekeeper at Chalfont Lodge. I love making sure the home is a lovely environment for everyone to enjoy!

I’ve worked at Chalfont Lodge for a year and absolutely love my role. I am passionate about creating meaningful, person-centred activities that bring joy, purpose, and enrichment to our residents’ lives. No two days are ever the same, and seeing residents smile, engage, and enjoy special moments makes my job incredibly rewarding. Chalfont Lodge feels more like a home than a workplace, and I feel privileged to be part of such a warm and caring community.

Hi, my name is Isabel, but I go by Izzy. I qualified as a Music Therapist in 2015 from Anglia Ruskin University and lived and worked in Cambridge for some years. I completed my second master's in Mental Health Science in 2020 whilst living in France before moving to Bucks to work across three NHS hospitals specialising in dementia and rehabilitation. I am passionate about the power of music and music therapy for older people and those living with dementia, and about strengthening connections between research and practice. As well as working for Barchester, I run community choirs and teach the piano locally, and in my spare time, I enjoy yoga and spending time outdoors.

My name is Jaymin Aakvod, and I am an HCPC Registered Physiotherapist with a passion for rehabilitation and helping people achieve greater independence and quality of life. With a background in physiotherapy across clinical and care settings, I have developed a strong interest in supporting individuals through their recovery journey with a patient-centred and compassionate approach.
I have experience working with a variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal problems, neurological conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, mobility challenges, and long-term conditions. I believe every person is unique, and effective rehabilitation is not only about treatment techniques but also about understanding each individual’s goals, building trust, and working together as part of a multidisciplinary team.
I am passionate about continuous learning, evidence-based practice, and delivering high-quality care that makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I value teamwork, respect, and communication, and I strive to bring a positive and supportive approach to every patient interaction.
My aim is simple: to help people regain confidence, improve their function, and live as independently as possible through personalised and compassionate physiotherapy care.
