Mum has settled in well and is very happy, so that makes us all happy too.
A lovely setting in beautiful countryside which Mum enjoys as she's an outdoors person. Great that she can step outside and enjoy the country sights, fresh air and sunshine.
Keep up the good work.

My experience of Chalfont Lodge has been nothing but positive since I first became familiar with the facility through visiting friends over the last few years. I have always found the staff to be very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. The lodge has a tranquil atmosphere, is surrounded by lovely countryside and has very modern amenities with good-sized rooms. I have found the facility professionally run and make time feeling that residents enjoy. Great safety and security too.
This care home has vastly exceeded our expectations which have been very low from other multiple reasons. We are moving mother reluctantly for more family contact.

Having visited Chalfont Lodge Care Home four years ago to visit a friend, I was impressed and when my husband needed care especially physio, I was determined this is where he would come. Standards had not changed and my husband progressed well. He came in on a stretcher and although he is 91, he is now able to walk with a frame. The home made our wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday special.
Thank you for your kind words, I know the team will really appreciate your comments about the care and support provided. I will share your comments with them. We are here for those in need of good care, and always to support their friends and family. Kind regards.
My sister-in-law spent two months at Chalfont Lodge Care Home. The staff were absolutely fantastic and the facilities excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Set in beautiful countryside with visits from local wildlife. The manager was so accommodating offering excellent advice.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. I will pass your kind comments to the team who cared for your sister-in-law. It is much appreciated. Kind regards
Following a fall at home, my Mum was transferred from hospital into Barchester Chalfont Lodge where she has been for nearly 3 months now. She has had Parkinson's for 10 years and Dementia for 2 years and the home care for both of her conditions so well and professionally. The staff are wonderful and very caring for my Mum's needs and she felt at ease with them, straight away. The manager is always extremely helpful and assists with any questions, very quickly. We are made to feel very welcome when visiting Mum and considering all of the implications that Covid has caused, the home still works in a very efficient manner. Thank you to you all!

Thank you so much for your lovely review of our home, and it makes us happy and proud that you are happy with our services and the care we provide. I will share your review with the team. We wish you well in the future. Kind Regards.
My mother spent five weeks at Chalfont Lodge for respite care after a fall. The initial admission process was handled very efficiently and sensitively and she had a comfortable garden view room. Throughout her stay, the care my mother received was excellent, particularly the nursing care, physiotherapy and general support. All the members of the Chalfont Lodge team were caring, friendly and highly professional. Thank you!
Thank you. These reviews also give us the opportunity to focus on improvements that are needed - I will make sure the staff are aware of your kind comments regarding care.
My husband spent six weeks of intermediate care on discharge from hospital. Towards the end of this time he, unfortunately, developed pneumonia, so I was allowed to visit in person for the last week of his life. During this period he received brilliant care from all the staff involved and their kindness to me really helped at such a difficult time. The skill and compassion shown by the nursing and care staff were impressive and I would have no hesitation in recommending Chalfont Lodge to anyone needing care.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of our home, and it makes us happy and proud that you are happy with our services and the care we provide. We wish you well for the future. Kind Regards.
I’ve been in Chalfont Lodge for 4 weeks, unable to walk due to spinal cancer, and I’ve been impressed by the staff attitudes. Management ensures that everything runs smoothly by constantly evaluating things and improving them if required. They encourage the residents to have an input by listening to their needs. I’m delighted to say that after only 4 weeks in here, the excellent physios have got me walking again, with the use of crutches. By teaming my determination with their skills, not only have they got me walking again, but they’ve also given me the opportunity to enjoy an independent quality of life that previous physios couldn’t. The nurses and carers ensure that they treat the residents with care and compassion. Daily menus offer a choice of nutritious food. The cleaning staff ensures a high standard of cleanliness. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home to anyone who needs the services they offer.
Kind Regards.
I have a very good relationship with almost all the staff. The food, they have changed for me due to my circumstances. The manager has always listened to me and been very helpful with anything.
Thank you for your kind words, I know the team will really appreciate your comments about the care and support provided. We are here for those in need of good care, and always to support. Kind regards
She was treated with absolute kindness and dignity.
The nursing care was very professional and of a good standard.
Activities were gently encouraged, but her frailty meant she had no interest in joining in. Her wishes were completely respected and efforts were made to ensure she received company from a variety of staff, thus ensuring that she was not excluded.
Her stay was in the middle of Covid lockdown, and we were impressed with how Chalfont Lodge dealt with the difficulties that the situation presented.
With thanks.
kind regards Raj Boodhoo
First rate staff. Very caring.
Thank you for your review, We appreciate your kind words and I will gladly share with the Memory Lane team kind regards Raj Boodhoo
My husband has FTD dementia. He has no understanding. The staff have been extremely kind and patient and have been able to manage his personal hygiene and dressing, despite I guess his protesting.
Thank you for your review, We appreciate your kind words and I will gladly share with the team kind regards Raj Boodhoo

Hi, I'm Raluca I am the clinical lead for Chalfont Lodge. I’ve been a nurse for over 5 years and I can’t imagine doing anything else!

Hello, my name is Maria and I'm the Head of our Turnberry community. I love being a nurse and helping people. I have a wonderful team and love being a part of the Chalfont Lodge Community!

I joined Barchester in 2019 as a carer and have recently been promoted to Head of Sunningdale. I am dedicated to the well-being of our residents and ensuring they receive the best care.

I joined Barchester in 2017 as an administrator at another nursing home in High Wycombe and recently transferred to Chalfont Lodge. Having raised a family, my career started in the customer service/financial sector, working for various organisations. Having always been a people person, it has been so rewarding getting to know all our lovely residents and families. I love being part of a team that is passionate about providing high-quality care and exceptional service.

Hi, I am Zibi, and I have been working at Chalfont Lodge since 2014, when I joined as the 2nd chef. During the last 7 years, I have got to know our residents well, all the special meals they enjoy and helped to celebrate their special occasions like birthdays and special family days.
I have worked in a variety of places, hotels locally and in VIP private hospitality with the well-known chef Michel Roux
I'm very proud to have been promoted to Head Chef here at Chalfont Lodge and look forward to delivering even more fantastic food with my team for the people living and visiting the home.

Hi, I'm Dil and I’m the Head housekeeper at Chalfont Lodge. I love making sure the home is a lovely environment for everyone to enjoy!

I’ve worked at Chalfont Lodge for a year and absolutely love my role. I am passionate about creating meaningful, person-centred activities that bring joy, purpose, and enrichment to our residents’ lives. No two days are ever the same, and seeing residents smile, engage, and enjoy special moments makes my job incredibly rewarding. Chalfont Lodge feels more like a home than a workplace, and I feel privileged to be part of such a warm and caring community.

Hi, my name is Isabel, but I go by Izzy. I qualified as a Music Therapist in 2015 from Anglia Ruskin University and lived and worked in Cambridge for some years. I completed my second master's in Mental Health Science in 2020 whilst living in France before moving to Bucks to work across three NHS hospitals specialising in dementia and rehabilitation. I am passionate about the power of music and music therapy for older people and those living with dementia, and about strengthening connections between research and practice. As well as working for Barchester, I run community choirs and teach the piano locally, and in my spare time, I enjoy yoga and spending time outdoors.

My name is Jaymin Aakvod, and I am an HCPC Registered Physiotherapist with a passion for rehabilitation and helping people achieve greater independence and quality of life. With a background in physiotherapy across clinical and care settings, I have developed a strong interest in supporting individuals through their recovery journey with a patient-centred and compassionate approach.
I have experience working with a variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal problems, neurological conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, mobility challenges, and long-term conditions. I believe every person is unique, and effective rehabilitation is not only about treatment techniques but also about understanding each individual’s goals, building trust, and working together as part of a multidisciplinary team.
I am passionate about continuous learning, evidence-based practice, and delivering high-quality care that makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I value teamwork, respect, and communication, and I strive to bring a positive and supportive approach to every patient interaction.
My aim is simple: to help people regain confidence, improve their function, and live as independently as possible through personalised and compassionate physiotherapy care.
