Barchester Chalfont Care Home is on the edge of Gerrards Cross Golf Course, just minutes from the pretty villages of Chalfont St Peter, Chalfont St Giles and Denham.

It sits in magnificent grounds with marvellous views across a picturesque lake and the fine fairways of the golf course; yet close to the M25, M40/A40.

The emphasis is on outstanding care, dignity and choice and how residents live their life.

There is an extensive activities programme, as well as their own music therapist, on-site physiotherapist, hairdresser manicurist and aromatherapist. They provide first-class 24-hour nursing care alongside expert care for people with dementia in the memory lane community.

The transparent care that my sister is receiving is exemplary. All staff and management know who she is, what her issues are and what needs to be done for her to be cared for properly. She has, within herself, improved tremendously during her time at Chalfont Lodge and I am very hopeful that this will
continue. I feel that she now has a very secure environment in which to return to settled normality.

My grandmother has been at Chalfont Lodge for seven years and in that time she has always seemed to be provided with exceptional care. The home is always clean and the staff very friendly - it is clear that they care about their residents and take the time to get to known them.

I am always very well looked after here.
The nursing and care staff are attentive and friendly. I have a nice room and bathroom.
There are more activities here than at other homes I've stayed in, which are most enjoyable. I also appreciate the other facilities such as the hairdresser and chiropodist.

My father had two short stays here in the last three months, recovering from surgery. We cannot recommend Chalfont Lodge enough! They provide excellent care and staff and residents are extremely friendly and welcoming.
He arrived here from hospital two and a half weeks ago in a wheelchair and is now
going home, walking with a walking stick only. Having in-house physio team has been essential to his excellent recovery. Also having meals with the resident's ambassador has been a real bonus.

My wife is extremely well looked after. After three and a half years she feels at home in a large family.
The staff from the general manager to the cleaners are caring, well-qualified people.

My husband was in Chalfont Lodge for 1 week, respite/rehabilitation following back surgery. The general nursing care in Chalfont Lodge was excellent and the physiotherapy service (four days a week) was exactly what my husband needed before returning home.

My son has been at Chalfont since March 2018 on a weekend basis.
Chalfont Lodge is a very relaxing place for my son, he is taken care of extremely well, all the staff go out of their way to make sure that I, as a father, and my son and all of our family, are at ease.
Nothing is a problem, he is taken
care of in every way possible.
All staff from the front desk to the cleaners are very polite and helpful.

I was originally told Chalfont Lodge was the nursing home best suited to meet my late wife's needs and throughout her stay there, I was convinced that they were right. I have found Chalfont Lodge a very good nursing home. The management is always very professional. The nurses are very efficient and carers are kind and caring. I would be happy for one of my family to come to Chalfont Lodge as it has a lovely atmosphere and I am always happy to come to visit here. I
wish all nursing homes worked so well. They are a credit to nursing care centres.

From the first phone call enquiry about respite, the staff were very helpful and an assessment arrangement was made very quickly, which was extremely helpful. Carers and the nursing team are always happy to listen and discuss what's best for my mother. My mother is happy and feels content. All staff
at all levels appear to want to make residents happy, which I appreciate. Thank you.
