My Nan has been a resident at Oak House for just over 1 year now & I honestly think it is one of the best decisions we have ever made, albeit a very difficult one at the time. Oak House has not once made us question the decision we made & we have honestly been SO happy with the way everyone at Oak House care for my Nan. It is like one big family & I absolutely love seeing my Nans face light up when the carers come over & say hello & engage with her so sweetly - my Nan even introducing one of them to me as her "friend" once! : ) We bring my Grandad to see my Nan twice a week & he is welcomed as if he is a resident & always made to feel comfortable & that nothing is of any bother. My Nan loves us bringing her down to the lovely seating area of the lobby to enjoy the coffee & cake provided & chat away! Everyone is just so lovely, approachable & welcoming & seeing my Nan so settled, happy & oh so much healthier than when she first arrived a year ago means the world to us! Thank you! : )

What a wonderful home Oak House is. It feels like such a family atmosphere from the minute you walk in with everyone so friendly and approachable. My mother is a resident there and we are all very happy with her care. She recently celebrated her 91st birthday and we had a family party there, arranged by some of the staff, with decorations and buffet provided . The manager is always friendly and ready to chat when she sees you. Excellent job everyone and thank you.

As soon as I walked into Oak House I was extremely impressed it reminded me of a hotel more than a care home. My mother has just moved in because we weren't happy about how she was treated in the previous care home. The staff are all lovely and very caring and I know my mother is going to be very happy there. We can see the improvement in just a few day, she has really come out of her shell, it puts me at ease because we know she is getting all the care she deserves.

We visit our friend every week, we can sit in the reception area/ cafe & enjoy snacks, tea & coffee. The staff are very engaging &so is the manager. There are many activities for all residents to participate in. My wife is able to have private time with her friend to do her hair in the lovely hair salon too. Also one of the staff decorates their nails, this gives dignity to those that always had them done. We had a lovely time at the celebration of time the home had been in operation. Thank you to all for inviting us.

Big thank you to all the staff at Oak House for the great care they give my wife over the past 5 years. They have kept her in as good a health as her condition allows. The staff are professional, caring and are always available when I need information or help with my wife. Many of the staff are not just doing a 'job' I think it's more a vocation with them. Keep up the good work all.

My sister-in-law celebrated her 103rd Birthday on Sunday 1st Feb and Oak House arranged two magnificent parties one for residents and guests in the morning and one for the family in the afternoon. Both rooms were decorated beautifully, catering excellent and the staff outstanding. Entertainment first class and a visit from the Mayor a great bonus. Enjoyed by everyone especially the Birthday Girl.

Thank you Oak House.

I want to express my gratitude to the entire staff for looking after my mother, Weronika. A heartfelt thank you to the manager, Bozena, for her dedication and kindness. I also appreciate the team at Melody for their support. Thank you all for the excellent care and for keeping me informed about any issues, resolving them swiftly. I truly feel like part of the family, enjoy delicious coffee, and treat myself to some wonderful cake or sausage rolls. It's a fantastic place where you feel well cared for in a warm, homely atmosphere.

On recommendation of a friend, my husband and I made contact with Natalie at Oak House to discuss some respite care. My husband had just come out of hospital, and trying to cope with various issues as well as Parkinson's which he has had for a number of years.
Natalie was pleasant, professional and very welcoming over the telephone. We arranged a visit the next day to view Oak House before potentially making a booking for respite care.
On entering Oak House, it felt warm and welcoming and like a big family unit.
Having a look around, we knew this was the right place for Chris, and so made a booking for the following week.
Chris loved his time at Oak House. He found everyone extremely friendly, professional and respectful at all times. The whole environment is one that gives people the opportunity to thrive at their own pace, leave them to rest when required, and to include everyone as you would a family.

A very special place!

I want to thank the staff at Oak House for the incredible care they provided for my mum. They didn't just look after her, they welcomed her into their family. The compassion and kindness they demonstrated during a challenging time, particularly in her final days brought my mum and I so much comfort.

The genuine friendships my mum formed with the team were a true blessing and seeing her so happy has given me a great peace of mind. The help and support they have given me throughout has been invaluable. Thank you for everything.

My nan stayed at Oak House for a couple of weeks in July. At first, we weren't sure how she would settle in, but the staff were so kind and welcoming that she absolutely loved it. Every time we visited, she was smiling, and it was clear how well she was being cared for.

The home itself has such a friendly, warm atmosphere. My daughter and I came almost every day, and each visit was the same-lovely staff, plenty of activities, and a real sense of community. Nan especially enjoyed the knitting, chats with other residents, and taking part in activities like tennis and exercise sessions.

Thank you so much for looking after her so wonderfully. We truly appreciate the care you gave, and we promise to come back and visit soon!

Every member of staff from the lady in reception to each and everyone on the ground floor staff.
They were very caring and made Mum feel at home. She was very happy with the attention she was getting and enjoyed getting involved with all the activities. She was very well looked after.

Once again would like to say a huge thank you to the staff!.
