Oak House is a modern care home situated in a tranquil, residential area of Slough. The dedicated team provides personalised nursing, residential and dementia care for older people on a permanent and respite basis.

The purpose-built home is organised into eight suites, each having its own dining room and stylish lounge area. The home also has spacious bedrooms, a cinema room and a hair salon with two visiting hair stylists. With over an acre of grounds, including secure, landscaped gardens and courtyards, in warmer weather residents and visitors can enjoy spending time in the sunshine.

The friendly team enjoys building good relationships with residents' loved ones, as they share the same goal of making sure residents are happy, comfortable and settled.

an agreed hourly charge for this service.

On arrival at Oak House, I was made to feel very welcome. All the staff that looked after me were very polite and understanding of any concerns that I had. When first meeting the staff, any questions I asked were answered in precise detail which was reassuring as I had never stayed in a care home before.
On the last day of my stay at Oak House, the staff came to say goodbye to me and I told them I would see them soon when my husband has his other operation.

Oak House is like a gift to the community of Slough. We are fortunate and privileged. You feel at home here by the friendly and caring service of the staff. Even I noticed by talking to the nurse, I was surprised she remembers all the medicines to be given to my mum. Even the lady who works in the kitchen
as a chef asked my mum what would you like to eat. She said she is going to make warm food and chapatis now.
Special thanks to the lady who made my mother happy, her supervision is excellent and she works in harmony with staff and she does involve in working herself with carers.

In regards to staffing, I would like to reassure you that we always make sure we have a good number of team members in the home so we can provide safe and tailored care for all residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week – when visiting the home you will of course be able to see plenty of the team interacting with residents, but there will also be members of the care team and others working elsewhere in the home, but particularly with residents on a one-to-one basis in individual’s rooms who may not be visible. Since my husband has been in Oak House in November 2015, he has been treated very well and with dignity. If I think there is something wrong with my husband they arrange for a doctors visit. The carers are very hard working. I have only questioned once about an injury on my husband and they got to the
bottom of it and the carer was more than caring for him.

Although my dad was only at Oak House for a short time. I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment my dad entered, to the day he passed away, the staff have been amazing. Marina Suite staff are so caring, loving and a true credit to the home. I’ve entered unannounced many times to see staff
sitting chatting and holding my dad’s hand tenderly. My dad was extremely well looked after and liked all the staff. (Trust me he was the type to tell you if he didn’t. Not once did he ever say he didn’t and always said how lovely they were). Thank you Oak House for all you did for my dad and for the support you gave me and my family also.

After an initial unsettled time, mum now seems to be settling really well. She has made a couple of good friends, has put on some much-needed weight and has colour back in her cheeks.
The staff are all extremely caring and professional and treat the residents as they would their own family. Mum feels
she is living in an extremely exclusive hotel. I'm so happy we were able to find Oak House. It has made a difficult decision much easier.

What an outstanding service provided by the staff at Oak House. Since the beginning of my Dad's time staying here, he was cared for with such love and friendliness. As a family, we were comforted in knowing that he was in trusted and loving hands of the care workers. All visitors were also made so welcome,
especially towards the end of Dad's life. This made his departure more dignified and the family were very comforted and respected at such a sad time. We would highly recommend Oak House to anyone who needs care. The whole of our family and friends would like to thank you all again so much for the excellent care that was provided for my Dad during his short stay. Kindest regards from our family and I.

My Aunt who suffered from Alzheimer's disease spent many happy years at Oak House being cared for by compassionate and professional staff. They were attentive to her changing needs as her condition progressed. Despite her family living some distance away, the expertise of the oak house staff ensured

Oak House staff gave us complete confidence that our aunt was being looked after with genuine care and love. We live far from Slough but we had no anxiety about her care. Staff knew her and gave us accurate information when we phoned. We were made welcome when we visited. Our aunt was always content
and peaceful. The staff were attentive to every need and even thought of her spiritual need at the end of her life. They were an extension of our family.

My father passed away on 8th July. The family is fully satisfied that he received professional and compassionate care right up to the end. We appreciate that caring for dementia patients is challenging but the staff were always patient and treated Dad in a dignified and respectful way.

My mum passed away peacefully on the 2nd of January after being in the care of Oak House for 18 months. The compassion and dedication demonstrated to mum throughout this difficult time of life was second to none. They treated her as family, not a patient. My mother has been at Oak House for about 8 weeks now and the improvement in her health and well-being has been amazing due to all the carers at Oak House. The personal care and attention she gets goes way further than expected with the carers showing love towards her and becoming her friend. I have

I started working at Care UK in 2009 after hearing great things about their values.


The way they ensure excellent care is delivered and that residents have a say in how their home is run.


Before joining Care UK, I worked as a Nurse for 10 years in a hospital in Poland, where I completed my Level 5 equivalent qualification. It’s my proudest accomplishment that I was able to come to England, not being able to speak English and working my way up to achieve the role of Home Manager.


Ensuring that every resident receives outstanding care is challenging, but it’s so rewarding seeing smiles from happy residents, or when a resident or a colleague achieves something they’ve been working hard for. My favourite moments are enjoying coffee mornings with the residents, families and colleagues.


To be a good Home Manager, I think it’s important to listen and be empathetic. You need to be able to put yourself in someone else’s shoes. It’s also important to have a passion to offer outstanding care.


When I’m not working, I love reading and spending time with my family to unwind.
