Oak House is a modern care home situated in a tranquil, residential area of Slough. The dedicated team provides personalised nursing, residential and dementia care for older people on a permanent and respite basis.

The purpose-built home is organised into eight suites, each having its own dining room and stylish lounge area. The home also has spacious bedrooms, a cinema room and a hair salon with two visiting hair stylists. With over an acre of grounds, including secure, landscaped gardens and courtyards, in warmer weather residents and visitors can enjoy spending time in the sunshine.

The friendly team enjoys building good relationships with residents' loved ones, as they share the same goal of making sure residents are happy, comfortable and settled.

an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Mum was moved from the first floor Highway Unit in July 2016 into the 2nd floor nursing care unit. Unfortunately mum passed away on Wednesday 13th July. The care and attention mum received from the care and nursing staff was superb. The management staff were excellent in keeping us informed, giving
us regular updates. In particular during mum's final days they were extremely sensitive in giving us the bad news.

Our family member came in neglected and unwell. He was in for two weeks respite. He was sent to hospital with a chest infection.
The care that you gave at Oak House was so superb that he was eating, drinking and smiling, something we hadn't seen for a long time. He was showered and kept clean, warm
and dry. He even came into the lounge and started to interact with the staff. We can only praise all the staff on the first floor Highway Unit, as the care has been above the call of duty. It certainly has helped him to move forward. We are hoping he may be able to come back to Oak House when he is discharged form hospital. This place is a home from home. Thank you.

My brother came to Oak House - unwell, confused and ill-clad. He enjoyed the food, care and attention of the staff - nothing was a trouble. Unfortunately he caught a cold and developed a chest infection - he was taken to hospital. My friend and I visited every day and were quite overwhelmed by the love,
care and attention that he was given. Now medially fit, we hope that he will be able to return to Oak House - at least until he is able to make more decisions for his future care.

My husband stayed at Oak House for 4 weeks whilst I had heart surgery. My husband who has dementia also has a number of health issues. He is 93 years old, a good indicator of his satisfaction with his stay, he never once asked to come home. I found the rooms were excellent, as was the standard of cleanliness.
All the staff I met were dedicated to doing a good job and were most respectful to residents and their families. I hope my husband will be able to go again to Oak House for respite.

All the staff on the second floor were extremely caring and very friendly. They treated my father with patience, respect and great dignity.
Although my father was not always the one to participate in the activities - there always was something going on if he wished to do so.

In the past 4 years, I have probably visited my 95 year old mother around 400 times. In all these visits I have only needed to raise any issues on 4 or 5 occasions.
When this has happened, the managers listened with great concern and were always eager to put things right, and I could not ask for more.
Every
time I visit, I ask my mother if she is happy and does she have any problems to report. She always says that she is very happy and very rarely has she had any issues. Overall, my mother and I, are very happy with everything at Oak House.

I am very blessed to have found such a care home for my husband, In times of need it is important to be able to trust where to leave your loved one's. I must say the staff are all amazing, they make you feel at ease and are are very welcoming. The standard of cleanliness and hygiene is outstanding,

Our thanks and gratitude go out to the excellent care home Oak House for first class care given and taken when our aunt was a resident there. Our aunt was there for about 18 months and in that time the nursing care shown and given was exemplary. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we were always greeted
by 'hello's' and smiles! Although our aunt took a little time to settle she soon did because of the friendly and warm nursing care. A special mention and many many thanks to the team on the second floor.

Agnieszka Klimkowicz-Buda

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2022

I started working at Care UK in 2009 after hearing great things about their values.


The way they ensure excellent care is delivered and that residents have a say in how their home is run.


Before joining Care UK, I worked as a Nurse for 10 years in a hospital in Poland, where I completed my Level 5 equivalent qualification. It’s my proudest accomplishment that I was able to come to England, not being able to speak English and working my way up to achieve the role of Home Manager.


Ensuring that every resident receives outstanding care is challenging, but it’s so rewarding seeing smiles from happy residents, or when a resident or a colleague achieves something they’ve been working hard for. My favourite moments are enjoying coffee mornings with the residents, families and colleagues.


To be a good Home Manager, I think it’s important to listen and be empathetic. You need to be able to put yourself in someone else’s shoes. It’s also important to have a passion to offer outstanding care.


When I’m not working, I love reading and spending time with my family to unwind.
