Our relationship with Beaconsfield Heights has been a gradual journey. My parents originally chose Beaconsfield Heights for a couple of respite stays during the winter. During a subsequent stay, it became apparent that my father’s needs were much greater than my mother's and that what was right for
one of them was not right for both, so my father stayed as a resident, and my mother moved back home and visited frequently, as did I and my wider family. This was a very difficult and emotional transition, especially for my dad, but the staff were very supportive of him throughout and all of us during this difficult time. My dad then had a fall resulting in a hospital stay which set him even further back. His needs were reassessed and he was readmitted to Beaconsfield Heights in the dementia area - ‘reminiscence’. Again, another difficult transition, but handled professionally and with great care by the staff. My dad has now settled and feels both at home and well cared for.

My mother became a resident in March this year and during the whole process, the staff went to great lengths to make my mother (and me) feel supported. Mother settled in well straight away and is happy and relaxed in her new home.

My mother moved into Beaconsfield Heights in December 2022 after having a bad fall in her home two weeks before. Her dementia was such that even a live-in carer was finding it difficult to cope with her anxiety and increasing needs.
We now feel she’s safe, very well cared for and entertained on a daily
basis. Most days, a singer or musician will entertain the residents, followed by tea and cakes, to which family members are welcomed with open arms.
Thank you for all you do to make Mum as happy as she is.

My mother made a voluntary choice to go to Beaconsfield Heights Care Home in January 2019 following some time spent in her own home following the loss of my father.
For the first three years, my mother enjoyed the freedom of personal choice in everything in which she participated throughout each day,
from choices of food at meal times and participation in activities, external visits and evening camaraderie seven days each week. The regular medical visits at the home combined with detailed records ensured that her health was properly monitored and she was protected against potential illness. My mother really welcomed the care and attention that she received.
In the last eighteen months, after her 101st birthday, even greater care was exercised by all staff in the care and nurturing of not only my mother but other elderly residents. My mother's natural, waning strength was offset by increased vigilance and personal nursing. A very good finale.

I came here for 2 weeks respite care after a total knee replacement. I can't fault the care I received the information I was given beforehand and the follow-up with the hospital, as to whether there was any special help I would need was comprehensive and thoughtful. The room I was given was on the ground
floor with a door to the attractive gardens and came with a complete en-suite together with a small kitchen area. All the people who worked there could not have been more helpful and pleasant, particularly as I found it impossible to sit at the dining room table and therefore had all meals in my room. The food too was very good indeed, well balanced, good variety and always delicious. There was a variety of entertainment during the fortnight I was there. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone needing respite care to seriously look at Beaconsfield Heights.

My two weeks of respite here at Beaconsfield Heights Care Home were very satisfactory. The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble for them and always a cheerful smile. Dining room staff were particularly helpful. Should I ever need to go into a care home, my first choice would be the Heights.
I
was lucky when there as the weather was good so I was able to make use of the garden.

It is a very daunting task trying to find the right home for your loved ones.


We had many doubts, partly because of the type of person Dad is but also just the responsibility of the decision to be made and the potential to make the wrong decision.


All that said we could not be happier that we

made the decision and chose Beaconsfield Heights Care Home - Avery Collection.


Partly because of the great living facilities but most importantly the people, the care, attention and dedication they bring to looking after all the residents.


Dad is extremely happy, and I have to say I am seeing sides to him (all good) that I have never seen before which is remarkable and brings a smile to all the family. As my wife put it he has a new lease of life. He now has a wider family which is so good to see.


I would also like to take the opportunity to thank all the team, without exception, for the remarkable care and attention, and not least warmth they have shown continuously; impressive and humbling.

My sister and I had made a decision to move our mother into care as it became unsafe to leave her living alone any longer. We looked at a few options and to be honest they were kind of what we were expecting, having had previous experience when our father was in care. Nothing special, residents on display
during visiting times, quite old fashioned and a musty smell.
I have to say that from the moment we entered Beaconsfield Heights, we were both amazed at the difference. Clean, tidy, attentive staff and a sense of community spirit amongst the residents. We both knew immediately this is where Mum needs to be and without hesitation, we agreed on a moving-in date.
Mum loves it there and enjoys the various activities available daily. She's even smiling now and she hasn't done that for years.
The staff are lovely and regularly keep in touch with us.

My mother came in for respite care and was very reticent about leaving home. From the moment she arrived, she was welcomed into the Signature family. The staff were excellent and cared for all Mum's needs. The warmth and kindness they showed, made her feel at home. She's returned home now but keeps

My mother spent the last 14 years of her life as a resident at Signature. When Mum first moved in, she did so with a little hesitation about what life in a 'care home' would be like. She very quickly learned that she would be surrounded by kind and compassionate people who only wanted what was best
for her. As she grew older and her needs grew greater, the care team responded by increasing their support for her without her ever feeling like she was a burden. No request was ever too much for them, and their friendship and love for Mum enriched her life. When Mum fell ill and died at the age of 100+, the care team rallied to support both her and her family, and their compassion made a difficult time so much easier. Our family owes them a real debt of gratitude for everything they do. Whenever my Mum was asked how she was, she would always respond with the words, "I am very well cared for". I think she said it best.

My room is very attractive and well-appointed. The carers are all delightful and very helpful. Activities are varied and well thought out and enjoyed. I am regularly asked to participate but don't always feel fit enough to do so! Food is excellent and very enjoyable. A happy experience.

I am very happy and settled here, and I find the staff all very pleasant. I like being on the ground floor as I can get around easily, and it's not far to go for everything. The food is very good, and the bed is very comfortable.

After working as a Pharmacy Technician for 10 years, I decided to follow my heart and move into the care sector. Joining the home as a Care Assistant in 2019, I have been able to develop my career, becoming a Senior Carer, Wellness Co-Ordinator and at the beginning of 2024 I was delighted to be offered the position of Residential Care Manager.


Working alongside my team of incredible carers, we strive to deliver exceptional person-centred care to every resident every day. A busy, varied and hugely rewarding position which I feel privileged to hold.

Job Title: Hotel Services Manager

I am very proud to be part of the team here at Beaconsfield. We always ensure that we deliver five-star service in every department, this was particularly highlighted throughout the pandemic as we recognised it was such a difficult time for residents, families and the staff.


The team spent a lot of time re-assuring residents and kept them mentally and physically stimulated and of course, our resident's safety was and is still the top priority. Our Concierge team run evening activities such as Cheese & Wine nights, Bingo and Quizzes which our residents love! I work closely with residents and their families to ensure that all enjoy dining experiences and that each resident has a nutritional meal plan to suit their needs.

I joined the Beaconsfield Heights team as an Activities Assistant, where I developed a strong passion for enhancing the daily lives of our residents, through engaging and meaningful activities. I am now delighted to have been promoted to the position of Activities Manager. As Activities Manager I am driven to provide all of our residents with a person centred approach to their day, taking time to get to know every resident, who they are, what is important to them and enabling us to offer tailored, enjoyable and purposeful activities. I am supported by a wonderful team, who share my passion and form genuine and caring relationships with all of our residents and their families and friends.

Having previously worked in Care Administration being given the opportunity to work for at Beaconsfield is wonderful. I have enjoyed getting to know all the residents, families and colleagues. It is my passion to support various day-to-day administration for the Home; Human Resources, and financial functions and work with the team to provide our residents and their families with the support and assistance they require.


Having an open-door policy, I am very happy to be working within such a beautiful home with a friendly atmosphere and dedicated people, who deliver excellent care.
