I have to say, it's very worrying to hand over you lovely mum to others but my mum is really so happy and says the staff cannot do enough for her! Thanks for your care.

Beaconsfield Heights is really an exceptional care home. Our mother is very happy there, and importantly, she is safe and looked after to a high standard. But I think the important thing to know about any care home is how they respond to problematic situations, and in this case, Beaconsfield Heights are absolutely faultless - 10 out of 10.

My aunt was very poorly having been in hospital for a month. Since coming to Beaconsfield Heights she has improved immensely over the past couple of months both mentally and physically. The staff are so friendly and treat everyone with great care and respect. I would recommend Beaconsfield Heights for a relative to anyone.

My sister and I had made a decision to move our mother into care as it became unsafe to leave her living alone any longer. We looked at a few options and to be honest they were kind of what we were expecting, having had previous experience when our father was in care. Nothing special, residents on display during visiting times, quite old fashioned and a musty smell.
I have to say that from the moment we entered Beaconsfield Heights, we were both amazed at the difference. Clean, tidy, attentive staff and a sense of community spirit amongst the residents. We both knew immediately this is where Mum needs to be and without hesitation, we agreed on a moving-in date.
Mum loves it there and enjoys the various activities available daily. She's even smiling now and she hasn't done that for years.

The staff are lovely and regularly keep in touch with us.

Reply from Wendy Healy, Client Liaison Manager at Beaconsfield Heights Care Home - Avery Collection

Your review is greatly appreciated and to hear that your mum is happy, engaged and smiling means the world to us. We are a real community and we are so pleased you feel that too, it is wonderful having you as part of our family. Thank you for your wonderful comments which we are delighted to be able to share with the team.

My mother came in for respite care and was very reticent about leaving home. From the moment she arrived, she was welcomed into the Signature family. The staff were excellent and cared for all Mum's needs. The warmth and kindness they showed, made her feel at home. She's returned home now but keeps saying what a wonderful holiday she had. So thank you for making Mum feel loved and cared for.

My mother spent the last 14 years of her life as a resident at Signature. When Mum first moved in, she did so with a little hesitation about what life in a 'care home' would be like. She very quickly learned that she would be surrounded by kind and compassionate people who only wanted what was best for her. As she grew older and her needs grew greater, the care team responded by increasing their support for her without her ever feeling like she was a burden. No request was ever too much for them, and their friendship and love for Mum enriched her life. When Mum fell ill and died at the age of 100+, the care team rallied to support both her and her family, and their compassion made a difficult time so much easier. Our family owes them a real debt of gratitude for everything they do. Whenever my Mum was asked how she was, she would always respond with the words, "I am very well cared for". I think she said it best.

The last two and half years through Covid have been very difficult for all, but particularly for care homes. Throughout, I've seen nothing but care, professionalism, safe responses and excellent communication from the team in Beaconsfield. Carers are smiling and solicitous, facilities are clean and well-maintained, and food is excellent. Excellent care home.

After researching almost every care home in the local area, I settled on Signature at Beaconsfield.
The reasons for this were:
The high quality of accommodation.
The range of activities that are organised for the residents.
The specialist dementia floor.
The quality of the menu.

The friendliness of the staff and their professionalism.

Both my mum and dad are residents since the 28th of June; it was very challenging finding a care home that would take couples with the added difficulties of Dementia, however, Signature catered to their needs and talked us through the process. The staff were friendly and made us feel at ease. Our main concern was how Mum and Dad will be stimulated; however, the facilities on offer are exceptional, along with the weekly activity program. We were offered a month's trial to see how they settled in, and after two weeks, we knew we made the right choice as they loved it. We could see a great improvement in their well-being and general contentment. They are receiving excellent care in fantastic surroundings, and as a family, we know they are safe and well looked after - you can't put a price on peace of mind. We are very happy and would highly recommend Signature.

Our mum has been so well taken care of since she first arrived 2.5 years ago. As well as our dad before he passed away. The carers do just that. They care and treat Mum with respect even in undignified moments. It's not been easy to accommodate all the various needs during this Covid era, and the home adapts calmly and considerately without exception.

Review from Catherine P (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 11 August 2022 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My grandmother has been a resident for nearly 12 years - she turns 100 in September this year, and that is surely down in no small part to the care that she receives each and every day. Most of all, the staff have supported her to retain as much of her fierce drive for independence as possible and made sure that she can do as much as possible for herself for as long as possible. As time has gone by, she does need more help with day-to-day stuff, but the wonderful team have very quietly and unobtrusively stepped in to help her where necessary and respected her independence where feasible. Although hard of hearing these days, she is mobile and likes to participate in quizzes and balloon tennis tournaments and loves to sit out in the wonderful garden, which is a real feature of the home.

Most of all, I know that she is safe and well cared for, and although I visit regularly, it is such a relief to know that she is in good hands at this stage of her life. Thank you!

I began my career in care straight out of education, and have been dedicated to supporting people ever since. Over the years, I have gained experience across a wide range of care settings, including residential care homes, domiciliary care, and sheltered housing. This has given me a broad understanding of the different needs of individuals and the importance of providing compassionate, person-centred care.

Since becoming a Care Home Manager in 2018, I have had the privilege of leading both small and large care homes. My focus has always been on creating a positive, supportive environment where residents can enjoy the best possible quality of life and where staff feel valued, empowered, and supported to deliver outstanding care.

After working as a Pharmacy Technician for 10 years, I decided to follow my heart and move into the care sector. Joining the home as a Care Assistant in 2019, I have been able to develop my career, becoming a Senior Carer and Wellness Co-ordinator, and at the beginning of 2024, I was delighted to be offered the position of Residential Care Manager.

Working alongside my team of incredible carers, we strive to deliver exceptional person-centred care to every resident every day. A busy, varied and hugely rewarding position which I feel privileged to hold.

Briony SmithJob Title:Dementia Care ManagerJoined: 2026

My career in care began when I was 21 years old, and it has been my passion ever since. At 24, I became a mum to my daughter and returned to work when she was just three months old, balancing family life with a career I truly love.

I started as a care assistant and remained in my first care home until I was 25. I then moved to a care home in Amersham, where I progressed to the role of Team Leader. After that, I joined a domiciliary care provider as a Senior Carer and worked my way up to Deputy Manager. Following 15 rewarding years in domiciliary care, I returned to residential care as a Deputy Manager.

Throughout my career, I have worked my way up from care assistant to deputy management, gaining valuable experience across both residential and domiciliary care settings. Today, I am proud to be Dementia Care Manager for Beaconsfield Heights.

Caring for others has always been more than just a job for me; it's a vocation. I continue to enjoy making a positive difference to people's lives every day, and I embrace the challenges and rewards that come with providing high-quality, person-centred care.

Our Concierge team run evening activities such as Cheese & Wine nights, Bingo and Quizzes which our residents love!
