My mother came in for respite care and was very reticent about leaving home. From the moment she arrived, she was welcomed into the Signature family. The staff were excellent and cared for all Mum's needs. The warmth and kindness they showed, made her feel at home. She's returned home now but keeps
saying what a wonderful holiday she had. So thank you for making Mum feel loved and cared for.

My mother spent the last 14 years of her life as a resident at Signature. When Mum first moved in, she did so with a little hesitation about what life in a 'care home' would be like. She very quickly learned that she would be surrounded by kind and compassionate people who only wanted what was best
for her. As she grew older and her needs grew greater, the care team responded by increasing their support for her without her ever feeling like she was a burden. No request was ever too much for them, and their friendship and love for Mum enriched her life. When Mum fell ill and died at the age of 100+, the care team rallied to support both her and her family, and their compassion made a difficult time so much easier. Our family owes them a real debt of gratitude for everything they do. Whenever my Mum was asked how she was, she would always respond with the words, "I am very well cared for". I think she said it best.

The last two and half years through Covid have been very difficult for all, but particularly for care homes. Throughout, I've seen nothing but care, professionalism, safe responses and excellent communication from the team in Beaconsfield. Carers are smiling and solicitous, facilities are clean and
well-maintained, and food is excellent. Excellent care home.

After researching almost every care home in the local area, I settled on Signature at Beaconsfield.
The reasons for this were:
The high quality of accommodation.
The range of activities that are organised for the residents.
The specialist dementia floor.
The quality of the menu.
The friendliness
of the staff and their professionalism.

Both my mum and dad are residents since the 28th of June; it was very challenging finding a care home that would take couples with the added difficulties of Dementia, however, Signature catered to their needs and talked us through the process. The staff were friendly and made us feel at ease. Our main
concern was how Mum and Dad will be stimulated; however, the facilities on offer are exceptional, along with the weekly activity program. We were offered a month's trial to see how they settled in, and after two weeks, we knew we made the right choice as they loved it. We could see a great improvement in their well-being and general contentment. They are receiving excellent care in fantastic surroundings, and as a family, we know they are safe and well looked after - you can't put a price on peace of mind. We are very happy and would highly recommend Signature.

Our mum has been so well taken care of since she first arrived 2.5 years ago. As well as our dad before he passed away. The carers do just that. They care and treat Mum with respect even in undignified moments. It's not been easy to accommodate all the various needs during this Covid era, and the home
adapts calmly and considerately without exception.

My grandmother has been a resident for nearly 12 years - she turns 100 in September this year, and that is surely down in no small part to the care that she receives each and every day. Most of all, the staff have supported her to retain as much of her fierce drive for independence as possible and made
sure that she can do as much as possible for herself for as long as possible. As time has gone by, she does need more help with day-to-day stuff, but the wonderful team have very quietly and unobtrusively stepped in to help her where necessary and respected her independence where feasible. Although hard of hearing these days, she is mobile and likes to participate in quizzes and balloon tennis tournaments and loves to sit out in the wonderful garden, which is a real feature of the home.
Most of all, I know that she is safe and well cared for, and although I visit regularly, it is such a relief to know that she is in good hands at this stage of her life. Thank you!

I really value the team at Signature for their care of my godmother. They are keen to build relationships with the relatives as well as, of course, the residents and look for opportunities to engage in different ways recognising we are all different. On her 95th birthday, the team baked and presented
a cake while singing happy birthday and giving a card and present. We were both really touched by this.
I appreciate the monthly relatives' meetings, which give us a chance to find out what is happening in the home, what changes might be coming and to address any general issues we might have. These are followed up by minutes of the meeting, and actions are addressed.
A huge thank you from me!

Although I did not get a key to my room, I found my stay at Signature very comfortable and enjoyable. All staff and carers were very helpful. All activities were very good and enjoyed "quiz" nights, classical music, exercise class etc. Sitting in the garden was particularly good. Did not get a chance
to use the SPA! The entertainment at Signature was very good. Vegetarian food needs improving (limited choice).

I have had two weeks of care, and having been here before, it was so good to be welcomed back by so many of the staff and carers. I have enjoyed the activities, especially the quizzes in the evenings, which were great fun. Nothing has been a problem - the carers are so kind and helpful. The food has
been very good and has made me put on unwanted weight! I wouldn't hesitate to come back if the need arose. I go home with very mixed feelings - will miss the company and service!

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.932)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.932) out of 10 for Beaconsfield Heights Care Home - Avery Collection is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 26 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 26 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.932 for Beaconsfield Heights Care Home - Avery Collection is calculated as follows: ( (289 Excellents x 5) + (19 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 309 Ratings = 4.932
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Beaconsfield Heights Care Home - Avery Collection is based on 26 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 95 registered maximum number of service users is 19, which has been reached with 26 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Hello!
My name is Simon and I am the General Manager at Beaconsfield Heights.
I am originally from Lancashire but have lived in Buckinghamshire since aged 18. I have spent all of my career working in adult social care.

Having worked across all of the different care sectors, I believe I have gained a good understanding of the dilemmas faced by those in our care and also an appreciation of how daunting it must be to move from the family home into residential care. The thought that I am in a privileged position to be able to influence and have a positive impact on people’s lives is very motivating and rewarding for me.

I am also passionate about supporting our staff to develop and to achieve to the best of their ability. If we have a happy and engaged staff team, it follows that we should have happy, well-cared-for residents and a happy home.

If we can put the individual at the centre of all that we do, we can ensure that our residents are fully involved in all of our decision-making processes, enabling us to deliver care and support that is as individual as they are.

Away from work, I am married with two children and a dog. If I am not at Beaconsfield Heights or at home (or out walking the dog), I can be found following the mighty Preston North End around the country.

Hi, I’m Daniela!

I joined Beaconsfield Heights in July 2025. I originally studied nursing in Romania and worked as a Paramedic before moving to the UK in 2016. That’s when I began my journey in the care sector, working as a Senior Carer and then Team Leader.

Four years ago, I was delighted to step into the role as a Deputy Manager. I’m passionate about supporting my colleagues, sharing my knowledge, and making sure we deliver the very best care to our residents every day.

I love being part of a team that truly makes a difference and seeing the positive impact we have on the lives of the people we care for.

Joining the home as a Care Assistant in 2019, I have been able to develop my career, becoming a Senior Carer, Wellness Co-Ordinator and at the beginning of 2024 I was delighted to be offered the position of Residential Care Manager.

Working alongside my team of incredible carers, we strive to deliver exceptional person-centred care to every resident every day. A busy, varied and hugely rewarding position which I feel privileged to hold.

Job Title: Hotel Services Manager

I am very proud to be part of the team here at Beaconsfield. We always ensure that we deliver five-star service in every department, this was particularly highlighted throughout the pandemic as we recognised it was such a difficult time for residents, families and the staff.

The team spent a lot of time re-assuring residents and kept them mentally and physically stimulated and of course, our resident's safety was and is still the top priority. Our Concierge team run evening activities such as Cheese & Wine nights, Bingo and Quizzes which our residents love! I work closely with residents and their families to ensure that all enjoy dining experiences and that each resident has a nutritional meal plan to suit their needs.
