Water Hall Care Centre is an attractive modern building, which opened in 2008 and provides the highest standards of dementia and nursing care and accommodation. Water Hall was the first home in Milton Keynes to be awarded with an 'Outstanding' rating by CQC in February 2021.

Water Hall is located in Water Eaton, Bletchley, within walking distance of the local amenities which include a Post Office, shops and a public house. The home has strong links with the local community especially with the nearby school. There are excellent public transport services to both Bletchley Town Centre and central Milton Keynes Shopping Centre which are only a short bus ride away.

The home has 56 bedrooms with en-suite facilities. There are also lounges and dining rooms with individual kitchenettes on each floor where residents are offered home cooked meals freshly prepared by the chefs and their team. All specialist diets can be catered for.

There is a café, a hairdressing salon and other quiet rooms around the home and there is also an enclosed garden with covered gazebo. All areas are tastefully decorated to a high standard and are wheelchair accessible.

The activities programme is tailored around individuals’ particular interests and a wide variety of daily activities are offered which include arm chair exercises, ball games, regular church services, bingo, singing, dancing and the occasional trip to the seaside.

The care and services provided are delivered by trained professionals who are dedicated to looking after the health and wellbeing of each resident. The management and staff of the home are welcoming and friendly and are proud to provide a supportive and hospitable environment in which to live.

Both parents are at Waterhall - one on level 1 and the other on level 2.
Very happy with the care they are receiving. I know Dad can be difficult, but the staff work with him, and slowly he is getting used to being in a home.
The staff are incredible and care for us relatives as much as the residents.
They are all angels.

My mother has been at Waterhall since July 2025. She has settled in extremely well. I have found that the standard of care is excellent. My mother is always happy when I visit her; she looks clean and tidy, well cared for. The staff are always happy to help.
I have no worries about my mother being
in Waterhall due to the very high standard of quality care. Thank you.

Tendai and the magnificent team at Waterhall cared for my mother, Paddy, right through COVID and beyond. My mother spent four wonderful years at Waterhall with such attention and devotion from all the team, finally passing peacefully 4 days before her 102nd birthday. Absolutely amazing and a tribute
and credit to all. Paddy considered Waterhall as home.
Reply from Lorna Brown, Sales & Marketing Business Partner at Waterhall Care HomeThank you for your lovely words about the team at Waterhall. It was a true privilege to care for your mother over the past four years, and we're honoured that she saw Waterhall as her home.
She was a remarkable lady, and she will be warmly remembered by all of us. Please accept our heartfelt condolences on her passing. Your message means a great deal to the whole team.

I am very happy about the care my husband gets here in this very welcoming care home. Whenever he is in trouble with his health the hospital is being called which has saved his life a couple of times! The staff are so friendly and helping every where the can!

My wife when hospitalised at the beginning of the year it was recognised that she suffered from dementia also unable to walk because of her hips, therefore bed bound. Myself at 79 couldn't cope with Linda's situation. Since then, Linda has been in Waterhall Care Home. The help and support Linda and
myself have received from the managers and staff at this care home has been outstanding. I couldn't wish for anything better. I have been very lucky to be taken care of by an outstanding home. We have been happily married for 53 years and have four grown up children busy with their own lives. I spend every afternoon with my wife at the home and go home exhausted, and a grown up man, but she makes me cry. Thank you to Waterhall Care Home.
Reply from Tendai Mangoro, Home Manager at Waterhall Care HomeThank you for sharing such a heartfelt review. We're honoured to have supported both you and Wife during this time, and it means so much to know our care has made a difference. Your devotion to visiting every day is inspiring, and we'll continue doing all we can to make those moments special.

My mum has been in Waterhall care home for over two years and I can't praise them highly enough. My mum has complex medical needs and needs help with every aspect of daily living.
The nurses are experienced and competent and ensure that my mum's medical conditions are monitored and treated appropriately.
They update me with any changes to her health in a professional and appropriate manner.

The carers are fantastic and help my mum to live the best life possible. Nothing is too much trouble. They support her to use her phone, access her talking books and choose what she wants to eat and wear. There is an entertainment and activity program which mum loves.
The home is clean , warm and friendly, visiting is a pleasant experience and I always get a warm welcome.
I always say the staff care for my mum as if she were their own family member and I cannot thank them enough.

Reply from Lorna Brown, Sales & Marketing Business Partner at Waterhall Care HomeThank you for sharing such a wonderful review. The care and facilities of the home was like from from home. My father was very happy and not confused when ever we came to see him. He was always clean and comfortable and was happy to be there. Excellent.
Our relative had been in hospital for ten weeks and was very frail.
After six weeks at the home, she was eating well, had no infections, much calmer and much more lucid than upon arrival.
The staff are very friendly and caring.

My mum has been at Waterhall for just coming up to two years.
I have to say that all of the careers are absolutely amazing and the nurses on the floor. Nothing is too much hassle and they are always willing to help with whatever is needed.
The home is always busy with social events which are to every
resident so whether in bed all the time or in the lounges everyone gets to be involved.
I have to say this is the best-run home I have seen which has to be handed to not only the caregivers, nurses, housekeepers, volunteers but also the wonderful managers.
This is not just a care home but a home for my mum and myself.
I would recommend this home to anyone and I am always saying how wonderful it is to my colleagues and friends.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.935)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.935) out of 10 for Waterhall Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 19 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.960 for Waterhall Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (216 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 225 Ratings = 4.96
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.975 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Waterhall Care Home is based on 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.975
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 57 registered maximum number of service users is 11.4, which has been reached with 19 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
