Excelcare The Willows Care Home

All staff are really helpful and friendly. For the first time since Mum has gone into care, we can rest knowing she is well taken care of.

Mum came to The Willows 2 months ago, she's settled in so well. The staff are really friendly and always available to help Mum. Nothing is too much trouble. She is really happy and well cared for.

On Sunday 26 June 2022 while on the phone with Mum, I was privileged to hear the interaction between her and one of The Willow’s amazing carers. The carer demonstrated a kind, patient but firm approach in dealing with a situation that included a variety of ongoing physical, emotional and mental health challenges. Mum has a complex condition which is hard to define and I am truly grateful for the exceptional care, respect and attention she receives. As a family, we couldn’t ask for more from the well-trained, hardworking, friendly and professional team at the Willows. Thank you!

All team members I have encountered, have been very helpful, the reception team have been excellent in helping me with my visits and testing when I've not been able to. I am very grateful to the team who are looking after my dad while he is recuperating. My only niggle is I would appreciate water in Dad's room at all times and it topped up, when required.

My Aunt has been there for a little while and was treated really well. She received the utmost respect and was treated with dignity. Last night she had a stroke and I cannot thank the staff enough for the prompt actions they took. The manager was at home but immediately went in to ensure everything was OK. My Aunt is in hospital but when she is well enough. Fingers crossed she will want to return.

My mum is in nursing care at The Willows and fortunately only temporary. There seems to be a shortage of staff which obviously impacts on the level of care, especially in the personal hygiene area. Most of the staff are very nice and have a caring attitude but there have been instances where the care is not so good from some members of staff.

Mum has been a resident for nearly four years and I am happy to say that I am very pleased with the care she receives every day. The staff are helpful and always ready to listen.

My mother is a resident in the dementia unit at The Willows. I live in the United States and keep in touch with her via Skype. The staff in reception are unfailingly helpful, both in booking my calls and in trying to make sure they get connected on days when things aren't going smoothly. The staff in the dementia unit are obviously busy and have a difficult job, but they're friendly and helpful, and my mother is always nicely dressed, or, if she's in bed, looks clean and tidy. Mum's not always an easy person to cope with, but I've never heard a staff member speak to her disrespectfully. I can only comment on some of the review categories from what I've heard from Mum, or have been able to see during my Skype calls.

The Willows care home are amazing and the staff all work incredibly hard. They are kind, caring and I can always speak to a member of staff if I have any concerns about my mum. It's lovely to be able to see Mum again after the care home being closed, due to Covid. I would also like to mention the wonderful work the reception team do - also they are extremely professional helpful warm and friendly. Carry on the great work you all do. The Willows is a first-class care home.

My father has been a resident at The Willows Care Home for over 6 months now. The staff go out of their way to be welcoming, as soon as you step into the reception. Whenever we have any questions relating to Dad or visiting during covid, we receive a quick response. The kind and caring nature of the staff is really evident to see.

My mother has always been cared for in this home and has never had a problem.

The Willows has always been so welcoming and happy. I feel my grandmother is very well looked after, as do the rest of my family. The staff are always helpful and willing to answer any questions we have.

Mum is cared for exemplarily. Staff are kind and compassionate. She is very happy. An excellent home.
