Admirals Reach Care Home

Exceptionally caring and understanding team. Friendly, helpful and very patient with my friend who has speech difficulties and mobility issues. I had every confidence he has been well looked after whilst in Admiral's Reach.

I live in a very happy home here, with lovely people to look after me.

I enjoy my stay here.

Mum is very well cared for at Admirals Reach, all her needs are met and staff are always friendly and welcoming. They know how to encourage mum to eat and are very patient. I asked mum about the care she receives and she said 'very good'. Thank you.

Our mum was treated with the utmost respect at all times and her dignity was maintained. The staff at Jellico House are incredible and we are forever grateful that our mum spent her last days here. We don't believe you could find a care home with a better level of care which after all is the most important factor.

Mum has nwo been at Admirals Reach for 2 months and everyone has been amazing. The staff are really lovely and very caring. The activity arrangements are varied and Mum has enjoyed these. She has spoken really highly of the quizzes and the music nights! I would definitely recommend!

Have been left from Monday 7th April to Friday 11th in total agony. No reasonable pain relief given despite explaining 6 times a day in pain. Did not sleep for 2 weeks previous to coming here in Hospital. Assumed my pain and sleep issues would be met. Was promised a 24 hour pain patch for Thursday, surprise I didn't get it. I am 59 years old and I do NOT HAVE DEMENTIA. I will continue to refuse to eat. I have been told I have full capacity but staff will not have a serious discussion about discharge.

A lovely, friendly, welcoming place. It feels cosy. The staff are wonderful and take excellent care of the residents. A nursing station is situated in the corner, thus able to keep a close eye on those in need of care.

New admission to Admirals Reach. Came to view the care home quite late in the day, one of the management staff showed around the unit, even when he was due to end his shift. Very polite, answered all my questions. Admission day - they were all very friendly, greeting the new resident. Staff are very polite & courteous. They have got to know my relative very quickly, knowing what drink he likes and how he has this. The senior managers on the unit have an open door policy which is fantastic. They are supportive when I take my relative out for the day and return around 21.00. The food is excellent. Would recommend this care home.

My father was only in care for six weeks but I can only say everything that was done for my father was carried out with care and compassion and I would highly recommend the care home to anyone who is contemplating having a relative or friend live here.

20/03/2025 Social trip to the racecourse. Including cream tea & tea/coffee. Played bingo and had a raffle. Excellent trip out. Even met a race horse & fed it carrots! Lovely.

Overall very satisfied with the care received and facilities at this home.

I feel like a weight of worry has been lifted from us knowing mum is being so cared for. Every member of staff has a smile and a kind word. Well done Admirals Reach for being a 'care' home.

My father has dementia and deteriorating health and could no longer be supported in his own home. Within a week of being in the home he appeared happy, clean and supported and showed improvement. Unfortunately he had a fall and was admitted to hospital but is back at the home now. Since he was discharged on Wednesday he is already looking better. I would happily put myself into this home, they really look after my father.

Thank you for looking after my Father so well in his last month. The staff were wonderful and as well as my Dad, they looked after us when we came to visit. His dog was allowed to visit which made a big difference to him. Everyone was treated with kindness, respect and compassion.

Pleasant atmosphere in Mountbatten wing for both residents and visitors. Excellent occupational choices listed for the residents to enjoy. Respite facilities appear of a high standard. Staff are friendly and residents appear relaxed. Catering feedback is good. Hygiene levels appear good too. Next of kin of resident able to give more comprehensive feedback than myself.

As a family we where very very happy with the care my father in law received in the two + half weeks he was here. All the staff have been amazing to us and of course to my father in law. We cannot thank them enough.

In the first months of my father's life, he received the most amazing care from the nurses and care team. They treated him with kindness and respect and helped support us in his final days. I cannot thank the nursing team and carers enough for all of their dedication to making my dad's last months comfortable and giving him love and support at this time.

First visit; It was good to see my Mum up and about with others in the common room.

I have been a visitor for about 2 years and have always found the staff very helpful and friendly. All areas are clean. Everyone is very caring.
