The team take pride in the Willow Brook dementia suite, where the dedicated Dementia Lead and team provide specialised care in a calm, supportive environment, prioritising the physical and emotional well-being of residents.

At the heart of their care is their commitment to great food. The Culinary Team, led by a skilled Chef, prepares wholesome, seasonal menus daily, promoting the health and well-being of residents with every meal.

A vibrant activities programme enriches the lives of residents, offering a variety of engagements tailored to individual abilities and interests. Whether enjoying the landscaped courtyard gardens, exploring local attractions on a minibus outing, or participating in creative workshops, there’s something for everyone.

We have been very happy that our father could go to Brentwood Care as we know they had the facilities to cater to his needs. They showed him respect and kindness and always encouraged and supported him. It has been hard this last year with Covid lockdown and not being able to visit but they have ensured
continual contact via Facetime every week. We are very grateful to the staff for all their hard work and dedication they have shown during this difficult time. We always know that my father was happy and well cared for.

My dad moved into the home in December 2020 for nursing care. Our experience has been nothing but positive. The manager and deputy met us at the moment we first enquired, they were caring and very knowledgeable and gave us time to ask questions. The care dad has received has been outstanding, we have
regular calls and are kept updated by the nurses and care team. Emails from the manager update on visiting and the speed of response to questions about the vaccinations were amazing. We are grateful to the manager and her team.

All through lockdown the excellent staff at Brentwood Care Centre did their level best to ensure our family were kept updated on visiting changes and Facetime alternatives. However, when they installed the day lodge it took visits to new heights. We were so grateful to have those all too brief 30 minute
slots in the warm, sanitised, comfortable and safe surroundings of the lodge. We can’t thank Brentwood Care Centre enough for all their extra care to Mum during this most difficult time.

When my mother moved to Brentwood Care Centre over three years ago it was rated as Good and I was very happy with the care she received. Unfortunately, over three years and a succession of five managers, the home deteriorated so much that I decided to move Mum a few months ago. Some of the carers are
excellent but there is little dementia training and the few good carers who were trained left as did an excellent dementia lead. It was so sad to see the standards of the home deteriorate and cuts being made, no doubt to generate yet more money - in cleanliness, hygiene and food especially. Mum was in her room a lot of the time. Having moved her to another home I can see a visible difference in her - I don’t think I realised how much Brentwood had deteriorated until now after a few months I can see how happy she is in her new environment.

Brentwood Care Centre has been very busy with the new leadership team in place, it is a shame you didn't meet them but we understand management changes can be unsettling. There have been so many exciting changes; the whole home team have completed certificates in Dementia Care, the home has refurbished communal parts of the Dementia environment with further plans in place and is working with the Head of Dementia Care and Development to make further positive changes alongside the implementation of the Dementia Strategy. The investment in Brentwood Care Centre is evident not just from the commitment of the management team and the amazing staff team within the home, but also from the local county awards, the national care awards nominations and the CQC report published after only 5 months of the new manager being in post. My dad has been receiving end of life care for the past month. Moving him from our home was an extremely tough decision to make but the management team were incredibly supportive during the transition and have continued supporting me emotionally since. They kindly took a flexible approach with regards
to visiting during these unusual times which means the world to me.
It is obvious to me that dad is being very well cared for medically and in all aspects. He is kept clean, comfortable and stimulated as much as is possible for him. All the staff I have met are cheerful, courteous, kind, friendly, clearly experienced, very professional and genuinely caring. I have been truly humbled at witnessing such heartwarming genuine care from the staff towards dad.
His Parkinson's and dementia have caused him to develop serious swallowing difficulties, but he is provided with a varied appetising menu of pureed food and thickened drinks which he is fed with patience and encouragement.
Dad is very content in his large en-suite room with french windows overlooking the garden. It is bright, fresh and tastefully decorated and very clean.
This is a very well managed home that I would recommend without hesitation.

During a very difficult time, I have been able to get regular visits at set times. Very personal. I am very grateful for the care the staff have provided and now the added bonus of Facebook posts to keep me in the loop of activities that are happening.

Mum has been in the home now for 6 months, just before the pandemic hit so it has been a really tough time. The staff have made sure that we have been able to see Mum through FaceTime which has really made us feel at ease. Mum is always smiling and is always presentable and she always tells me everything
she has been up to.

My dad has been living at Brentwood Care Centre now for over 2 years and I have seen him go from being withdrawn and depressed to living an active, healthy life with good care and activities. Lockdown has been hard, however, staff have kept me in contact when I couldn't visit with lots of FaceTime.
Garden visits are great and with the new lodge in the garden, we will be able to continue visiting him whilst keeping warm during the winter months. Keep up the good work.

I can't commend the care team enough. They have looked after my nan who is living with dementia and I get regular updates and Facetimes. The new management team keep me informed of all aspects of her care and the activities she is doing. I can't thank the team enough.

I had to remove my mother from this care home after three and a half years of deteriorating care, cleanliness, hygiene, and compassion, plus, a succession of five managers. I would not recommend this care provider to anyone, especially those suffering from dementia.

My brother has been here for a couple of years. There have been a number of changes in staff but this isn’t a bad thing as some of them needed to go. The home has a well-organised visiting plan for the pandemic and whilst it is hard for us not to go into the home, imagine what it’s like for the staff
team. I am truly grateful that my brother remains safe and well and thank the manager and her team for all they are doing.

With a background in nursing and further qualifications including NVQ Level 4, 5, and 6 in Health and Social Care Management, as well as a Master’s course in Nursing Diagnosis, Maria has developed the skills and knowledge needed to lead both operationally and clinically. She is passionate about using her expertise to support staff, uphold high standards, and ensure residents receive care that is both person-centred and respectful.


Maria thrives on the variety her role brings, valuing the opportunity to guide her team, solve challenges, and make a positive impact each day. She is especially proud to work at Brentwood Care Centre, a home praised for its friendly, responsive staff and its welcoming, purpose-built environment.

Job Title: Customer Relations Manager Joined: 2022

Rhiannon joined the Brentwood Care Centre family in Spring 2022.


She is passionate about her role, supporting families and loved ones on their journey in looking for care and also building community links with the home's local community.


'I love that my role is meeting people whether that be supporting them in understanding the processes of looking for care during what can be a difficult time or, organising community events such as our monthly Dementia Cafés and our intergenerational events.'

Diana Moraru – Manole

Job Title: Essex Regional Operations Manager

Essex Regional Operations Manager, Diana has a wealth of experience and knowledge from across Health and Social Care Sectors.


With over 16 years of experience, Diana started her career as a Health Care Assistant in a neurosurgical hospital and went on to train and qualify as a Nurse in Romania. Since coming to the UK in 2016 as a Nurse, Diana has had various roles leading up to her first General Manager role in 2017.


Diana’s experience in developing a team’s knowledge and skills through leadership and mentoring is something she is passionate about and is looking forward to supporting RCH Care Homes across Essex.


Another part of her role as Essex Regional Operations Manager that she loves is, ‘inspiring a great team to make further differences to the lives of the residents, making sure they are living their best life possible and that everyone feels it is a nice place to live and work; because it’s a home from home.’


Whilst not a work Diana enjoys travelling, keeping up to date with world news and being adventurous; this year she took part in a Sky Dive!
