Chatterwood House nursing home is a converted Victorian building, and has undergone extensive renovations to create a beautiful care environment for up to 35 residents. The revamped home offers a spacious interior, combined with generous garden areas.

Though Chatterwood is ideal for long-term accommodation, where it welcomes friends and family to visit and maintains a friendly atmosphere, it can also offer its facilities for terminally ill patients, thanks to its team of highly-skilled care staff.

The home's staff have a flexible and sensitive approach towards residents' personal requirements, and run a popular activities programme that includes reminiscence therapy and musical movement, together with an annual fete.

I am very pleased, the staff are very nice, pleasant and helpful.
Since arriving, my mother's health and happiness have increased and improved enormously.
My only complaint is that when it comes to the food, the portions are too large and there could be a greater variety of vegetables.

The care, kindness, humanity and professionalism of all the staff at Chatterwood House Nursing Home were truly outstanding. It all made my mother's final months as comfortable as the circumstances would allow. The same wonderful values shown by the home to my mother were also shown to my brother and

My mother moved into Chatterwood in approx March 2022. It took a while for Mum to settle due to being moved from a home that was closed down. The care and support have been very good, and when my mum was recently taken ill overnight, the nurses kept me up to date at all times. My mum can be stubborn,
but the carers always leave her happy. I have no issues with any of the 24-hour team at Chatterwood, and the home is always spotless.

My mother spent the last two months of her life at Chatterwood House Nursing Home where the care given to her was exemplary. The staff showed such kindness and compassion and nothing was too much trouble. Their professionalism gave me peace of mind knowing that she couldn't have been in better hands,
a godsend during this difficult time for me and my family. Mum's room was so spacious and always kept clean, with views of the birds and trees from her windows giving a wonderful, peaceful setting, much like the whole building itself. I will always be extremely grateful to the staff at Chatterwood.

My mother spent the last three months of her life at Chatterwood House Nursing Home, the standard of care was exceptional, not only the way they looked after my mother but also the way they treated the relatives, nothing was too much trouble for the staff even though they were busy. The gentleman that
was in charge at night was the kindest, most caring person you could ever want to assist you and your mum in her final hours.

Very impressed with the care my relative received, the staff were very caring. The rooms for residents were lovely and updated. Plenty of activity care for residents. Management was excellent and the end-of-life care was treated with much dignity.

My mother-in-law was cared for at Chatterwood House Nursing Home. The staff all really cared for her in a very difficult time for us. The management were always on hand to answer any concerns. Her room was always clean and tidy and we knew she was safe. Her passing was treated with dignity and compassion.
We can not thank all the staff and management team enough.

I could not have asked for a better experience for my mother before she passed in January. The staff throughout the facility were caring and compassionate, always helpful and willing to meet our requirements. I always felt my mother was in good hands since she became a resident.

My mother stayed for a couple of weeks (respite care). I was very impressed with the care provided. The staff were exceptionally patient with my mother, they constantly kept me informed and updated with her progress. Living far away it was great to have such good communication with the home. All the staff are very friendly and greet me by name when I arrive. They all seem very caring towards my sister and have a lot of patience with her even those who are quite young. The home is well looked after and maintained as are the grounds. I probably won't be seeing her now for several weeks due
to the Covid lockdown but I am sure they will look after her.

Each time I arrive to visit my mother I have been made very welcome, even in these difficult times. My mother always appears very well cared for when she has been dressed and ready to see me. Sometimes she is still in bed as I visit quite early and the majority of the time, again, very cared for. I

My mother has been in Chatterwood for only a short time but the care she has received is amazing. The home is spotlessly clean and there is a wonderful respectful atmosphere from the moment I walked in the door. My mother's room is beautiful and nothing was too much trouble to make sure my mother is

My father was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in early 2020. Hampshire social services helped locate a space at Chatterwood and I was impressed with how clean and tidy the home was and how friendly all of the staff were.
Dad moved in March and was so happy for the last three months of his life.
The staff welcomed him and he became very much a part of their team and the family. Whether it was joining their team meetings dancing and singing or watching TV together dad said it was the best decision he made moving there.
Even when he entered the final few days the staffs level of care was second to none. They were attentive to his needs and he passed away pain-free and with dignity.
I can’t thank the manager and the team enough for looking after dad so well and allaying all my fears. They took the stress out of the situation.
