It was my mum's 90th birthday. Mum had a great day, with all the staff helping out, with a cake and a sing-along, Happy Birthday. The staff are great and, especially the two meet-and-greet girls on reception, are always there to help.

Our experience at The Chase Care Centre is, I am glad and happy to say, a very happy and positive one.

The care my mum has experienced is excellent and holistic. Although she is limited because of her dementia, she is included in the various activity programmes. The carers encourage her to keep well nourished which is not easy. They are kind and considerate, not only to Mum but also to our family, and the nurses on Van Gough unit keep us updated and informed of any changes in her care.

I would just like to say how lovely the staff at The Chase Care Centre are.

My dad was a resident for his end-of-life care and I can't state enough how amazing the staff and carers were towards him. They treated him with respect and dignity right to the end. Even shaving him the day before he passed and making sure he had clean clothes daily - thank you.

The best thing about this place is the food which is excellent and the staff are really nice also the good thing about this place is that it is really tidy and clean.

Overall it is a very good place. When I had a stroke and I was shifted to the hospital after that I went to a place where I stayed for a few days and then I came to this place and it's been a year now so it feels like home and it is away from town so it is quiet and peaceful and I am happy here so I don't want to go elsewhere and stay here.

The Chase Care Centre in Watford is a very good place for people with dementia like my husband. Is a well-run place with all staff who really care for the residents. My husband has been in The Chase for more than 3 years and he seems to be happy and well looked after. The staff is very approachable and respond quickly if I have any queries. The food looks and smells very tasty and my husband enjoys every single meal. I trust their assessments and if there is a medical problem, my husband has GP appointment organised very quickly. Thank you very much The Chase.

My husband has been a resident in The Chase for over 18 months and the care he has received during that time has been consistently excellent. Not only do the staff provide professional and efficient care for the residents but they are constantly concerned for the well-being of the resident's family as well. The day-to-day care and consideration for the comfort of the residents is matched by the swift and professional response in an emergency. Thank you and well done to all staff at The Chase.

A family member was here 15 years ago and we had a bad experience it was over packed and the staff did not listen. But now another member has come and the place looks so much better. The staff are very helpful and listen to what we say and check what the person likes to eat and they help us with any questions we have, always there to help.

My mother was initially put into another care setting of which we had many issues. Having ended up back in the hospital she was then placed in The Chase of which we were initially very sceptical. But I must say what a breath of fresh air. We were immediately put at ease by their interest in our mother, my father and my sister. All the staff are very friendly and can't do enough for her. Great work! Thank you for putting at ease!

My aunt was cred for with great sensitivity and awareness of her needs by all staff (as were my husband and myself) Everyone from receptionists to the manager offered a very high level of care and dealt with my aunt's passing with equal care and sensitivity. I cannot speak highly enough of the entire team at The Chase Care Centre and offer my thanks and gratitude to all of the nurses who attended to my aunt on a daily basis.

My husband passed away on the 29th Nov 2023. He spent 4 years on the Charlie Chaplin Unit, and I can say, without a doubt, his care was amazing.

Whenever we visited (no appointment needed) he was always well-groomed, clean and tidy. The staff without exception treated him with love and care, always ready to give a hug when requested by him, he was always so comfortable with them. At the end he wasn't alone, a member of staff was with him, which was a great comfort to the family. Also the staff cared for the family too, making sure we were okay. Wonderful, all of them.
