The Chase Care Centre

Very disappointing service. It was evident from the first day that they treated my mother poorly. So many examples of poor management from the way they handled entry during Covid restrictions, to the complete lack of compassion to Mum. This continued right through the request of continuing care funding, whereby the nurse was not prepared for the call and sadly did not give accurate representations of Mum's condition. The Chase also failed to provide a range of documents to the NHC appeal committee when requested to do so.

My wife is living with dementia and is being looked after extremely well in The Chase. The staff treat her with respect and are friendly and kind in their approach to her care. When I visit she looks well-cared for and is pleased to see me.

My mum was very poorly when she entered The Chase in January 2020, having been declining in health over several months previous to that. Being at The Chase has brought her back to much better health and it is a comfort to see how well she is cared for and how much more socially active she is. The staff cannot do enough to help her and I cannot praise them highly enough.

My mum was bedbound on arrival and is now able to walk with a zimmer frame on her own, due to the excellent care of all the staff involved with looking after my mum. The management are on hand and very polite. I am always informed if Mum needs a doctor etc.

All staff wearing PPE. Mother is well cared for in terms of good wholesome regular meals. Lady who does the swab tests, is very kind and polite, always courteous and gives full information to my queries. However, during pod visits (outdoors) if my mother could be dressed in warm clothing (coat) before being transported outdoors.

The care home has been excellent during the pandemic, and since visiting has restarted, this has been handled very well. The carers and managers are very caring and provide an excellent service. The only issue is around the food - there isn't always a good choice and the quality is not always of a good standard. He said one particular carer is very good and is always helpful. Likes the carers.

Mum has received fantastic care. The staff know her well and anticipate what she needs. Everyone is incredibly kind and professional. The fact that they have come through lockdown so well speaks volumes.

Met with much friendly staff who are coping well with covid19. Having had the opportunity to see my dad on fathers day is a dream come true. The staff even on the telephone are amazing and always provide me with information much needed. Thank you.

Everyone is friendly and do their utmost to make you feel welcome - the place is very clean and tidy.

I can't praise the staff highly enough at The Chase Care Centre. All the staff have been excellent. The manager and her team have been so helpful and always there and available for support. I am so grateful for their help during this stressful time.

Whilst in your care, my mum was looked after and treated with the utmost respect. She had a very good relationship with most of the care workers and nurses. She was only there for a short amount of time, but I know that she was happy there and being looked after properly. You made Mum's last few months very comfortable, and I thank you all.

The staff have been brilliant. Very friendly and caring to the residents and great support to our family. We did not have long at the home, but I cannot fault the staff at The Chase. Like to say thank you.

We found the deputy manager most accommodating and very knowledgeable and experienced. Her approach, review and assessment of my brother's needs were accurate and she showed great empathy to his needs and condition. The staff we thought were genuine in their desire to assist and contribute to my brother's well being in general 8/10.

Very informative and caring staff - taking time out to explain my father's health and wellbeing. Staff all appear to be well trained. My father is being well looked after in a friendly environment.

The place is always clean and most suitable for anybody to live in.

All staff are pleasant and very helpful. After only one week of my brother's admission, staff have succeeded in building some rapport with him and his dignity is being respected in all aspects of his care.

The Chase have supported me and my mother through some very difficult times. The home is a home away from home. The staff are fantastic, in particular, the care services manager, he is an asset and the staff nurse.

I had been given less than a month's notice to find a new home for my father as his previous home was closing for refurbishment. I looked at quite a few nursing homes in the area. When I first came to visit The Chase and met with the Manager I felt comfortable that my father's needs and welfare would be well met. I have found the staff and management to be very approachable and to have a good understanding of my father's requirement.
