The care and kindness demonstrated by reception, maintenance, housekeeping, nursing and care were superb without exception, the staff were polite considerate and gentle. The changes made and being made by the home manager have made/will make a comfortable home for residents. The activities team also provide an excellent service to exercise the residents. The Watford Chase Care Home is a credit to the Health Care Group.

My dad came to The Chase in January 2023. At first he took a while to settle but now tells me he likes living here and that they look after him well. I am pleased with the friendliness of the staff and helpfulness when I need to ask questions. I feel that he is looked after and kept safe.

My dad had vascular dementia and entered The Chase Care Centre during Covid lockdown, May 2020. We had no idea what the home was like apart from web site tour. Then we had no visits, followed by restricted visits due to Covid. Staff were very caring during this difficult period. Dad was at the Chase home for almost 2 years. It was definitely the best place for Dad. He was well looked after. He passed away at the Chase home on 1 May 2023 - with me his daughter, plus his awesome long time carer and awesome nurse by his side. They also took care of my mum in her last few weeks. Mum and dad passed away 8 weeks apart. The Chase will always be a special place in my heart. I still visit regularly to see staff and residents.

Staff are always kind to Mum and we always have a warm welcome from the staff. Mum's room needs re-decorating and her clothes in her drawers and wardrobe always look untidy. Staff still waiting for Mum's new mattress which was ordered at the beginning of 2023.

Very happy with the care and support mum has received. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and are very supportive with mum's needs.

Excellent staff throughout - management, reception and ward staff. Very caring and considerate. Treated my wife with the utmost respect.

We are so grateful to The Chase for all their care and help to our parents over the last few months. The caring staff are always happy to assist with a smile and genuine concern. We will all miss The Chase.

The Chase staff went above and beyond our expectations for a 65th wedding anniversary celebration for my mum who is a resident and my dad who joined us in the family room. Which was beautifully decorated with the table laid, refreshments, balloons, banners, a card and even a lovely gift. We couldn't have asked for more.

The team at The chase are amazing, kind, caring and compassionate. They provided person-centred care and fully understand my mum's needs and wishes. Thank you.

When he was in his previous home (where he was temporarily after hospital care) he often said that he wanted to come home, but now living at The Chase he reguarly says he likes being there, he calls it "a club".

Happy with my care. Friendly staff. Sometimes agency staff don't fully understand my needs, i.e. trying to put me into bed at four o'clock in the afternoon!

My son also says that when he visits in the afternoon, his dad is always in his room.

Could make improvements on teeth and general cleanliness of the bed.

My husband was well cared for at The Chase. The nurses and care assistants were kind and gentle and were very attentive to us, his family, at a very difficult time made much worse by Covid restrictions. The manager, her assistants, admin staff and all the staff were always polite and very helpful. We are grateful to all of them.

After a few distressing months with a family bereavement, we had to find care for my father. The Chase Care Centre was recommended by a friend. Thanks to a member of staff, a room was found. It's early days for Dad but he seems to be settling in well. We are able to visit more freely as Covid-19 restrictions have eased. It's a difficult decision to put a loved one in care but the communication and care of the staff give us the reassurance that he is being looked after, and is safe.

The staff at The Chase Care Centre are wonderful, caring and kind to Mum and treat her like their own mother. As a daughter, living abroad has given me its challenges and I really, really appreciate how the activities team kept me in contact with Mum weekly and especially during the pandemic. I thank the nurses and doctors for providing me with medical updates and the excellent care that is provided for my mother and all the other residents. God bless you all.

This was the first care home my mum had ever gone into so I didn't know what to expect but, I found the staff abrupt and not very friendly. My mum was constantly distressed but they just kept saying it was her condition (dementia) but she has never been like that before or now she is in another home. She often looked unkempt. The food was also poor. She was very unhappy there.

I find that everyone is very friendly and helpful. The lady who swabs me when I visit is very efficient. The care home is kept very clean and the carers are very friendly with my father and the infection control is efficiently handled. We, as a family, are very happy with the care our dad is receiving.

Everyone in the home is so caring and look after Mum so well. I know she is in the best hands. Thank you.
