In regards of the staying of my husband, I could say that I am, very pleased and amazed to the care and support that they are given. The management, I am happy the way they run the home. In the activities, I found it needs to be improved more for the state of the other residents.

My mother was very ill and very highly medicated when in her own home. Most of the time asleep and not eating much, only baby food. Now, totally different. Awake and talking, eating well. Feeding herself. Low level of medication when needed.

I am quite happy with the care and help and also the nurses. They check the room and tidy the room. Also they shampoo the room. For meal times I order the meals. They give me meals that I like. They are giving choice to me.

I only visit on Sundays but the ward always seems clean and warm. The staff treat the residents with patience and respect. I am unclear to what extent activities are put on or not during the week as my aunt would not participate. It would perhaps be nice to see more books and magazines. Overall though I think the ward seems well run and clean, and patients seem well looked after.

The staff are welcoming and my brother seems to like them.
He interacts with them happily.
Communication could be improved - not informed of external professional visits on two occasions.

My brother seems generally happy at The Chase.

Over the past year, things have definitely improved at The Chase Care Centre. The staff on mum's unit are lovely, chatty and kind. Mum is always dressed with care and dignity.

The only downside is the lack of outings suitable for her.

The new manager listens and acts on concerns promptly.

There are a few care homes that you would choose to live in and we read about this massive problem almost weekly.

The Chase Care Centre often seems short of staff so that's never going to allow good care for residents, is it?.
