The Chase is a modern, spacious, purpose-built home located in the town of Watford in Hertfordshire. The home offers warm, personal and compassionate care to residents and is well known for its outdoor activities and encouragement in resident health and wellbeing. Offering Residential, Nursing, Respite, Dementia, Palliative and Specialist Care, The Chase is full of committed, compassionate and caring individuals with specialist knowledge to provide the very best care. Centrally located within a walking distance from Cassiobury Park, The Chase is located close to local shops, a pharmacy and a doctor’s surgery. The home is well connected by public transport and close to major road routes such as the M25 and M1 motorways.

Daily, tailored activities are all a part of life at The Chase, with activities ranging from cinema evenings in the in-house cinema, musical bingo, pampering in the in-house hair salon to gardening and afternoon teas. The dedicated activities coordinator works round the clock to innovate and deliver outstanding activities for residents to enjoy, based on their individual interests and wishes.

The Chase is a spacious and varied home offering 110 bedrooms that are able to be personalised with residents' own treasured belongings and furnishings. Bedrooms are freshly and tastefully decorated and are ready-furnished for residents to make their own. The home also offers various communal spaces such as smaller dining rooms, group activity spaces, chatty living rooms and quieter seating areas across the home for those who enjoy their own company.

I have my husband in The Chase Care Home now for 22 months. He has been so well looked after during this time.
He has had a lovely room and care and treatment second to none.
I will certainly recommend the home to anybody whom a relative may require future care.

Very disappointed with the standards at this home. Virtually no activities apart from a singer. Understaffed and residents put to bed early whether they're tired or not because there are only 2 members of night staff for the entire floor.
I've emailed the manager twice with our concerns and a month
later she hasn't had the courtesy to reply. The kitchen is sparse and shabby and you can never find a spoon! No cupboards, just a tatty sink and a fridge.

I can't explain in words the care and compassion shown to my friend at the chase centre.
A new manager has been appointed and what a difference.
The staff are wonderful and do such an amazing job. They show care and kindness every single day without fail.

We are pleased with the running of the home and the kindness, care and attention shown to residents. They have music regularly and also put on a lovely barbeque once a year for residents, their families and friends. We could not wish for a better place for my husband/father to be.

Overall, our family have been more than impressed with the care and service our father has received. Staff know what is required of them and they contribute to making fathers stay as pleasant as possible. We were lucky to have been offered a room here when we needed one.

The overall standard of care is fantastic. The care staff are brilliant and the cleanliness of the home is second to none. Also, the facilities, safety, and security of residents are exceptionally good. Top marks go to the nursing staff and the management, very friendly, caring and approachable.

My mother has been in this care home for seven years she is nearly 93 and has various health problems and very challenging behaviour. The chase has been wonderful and I have always found the staff deal with my mother very sensitively going that extra mile to calm her down and improve her experience.
I have always seen the residents treated well with dignity and respect. The manager too is very approachable and makes herself available as a priority although it's a large home it is very friendly. The home is always clean and fresh, I'd recommend it to anyone in need of professional care.

My husband has been at The Chase for 6 years and has been extremely well cared for during this time. I cannot fault the dedication of the staff in each unit.
The garden area at the rear of the building could be further enhanced by comfortable chairs and tables along with sunshades as the present
furniture is extremely heavy and uncomfortable. More greenery should be added too. Hopefully, this will be rectified over the coming year.
Old TVs and CD players should be updated in the Maygar Unit.
Activities have improved in the last couple of months for residents, with a variety of needs but more investment should be made particularly in music.

BBQ was an excellent day as always, all the staff participated even on days off. A very cheerful happy group, who worked so hard to make residents and their families have a good time. The food was beyond excellent. So nicely presented and plentiful. To suit all diets, the music provided had many dancing
and a lovely display Rock 'n' Rollers and Line Dancers. The preparation and catering for such a large event was fantastic.
