Hill House provides nursing, residential and short stay care, as well as residential rehabilitation for the young and old. Hill House is a spacious, elegant eighteenth-century building converted to provide residential and nursing care, for long and short term needs. As well as supporting elderly residents, staff welcome those who are 18 and over and living with a physical disability or neurological condition, such as multiple sclerosis, in need of residential care.

Residents can expect a high standard of care in the midst of a friendly community. With each of their cosy bedrooms, residents can enjoy the convenience of an en suite, and there are lovely views across the gardens and surrounding countryside.

There are lots of places to relax, including the choice of six lounges. Residents can cosy up with a book in the library, use the computer room, or enjoy being pampered in the salon.

The large gardens are especially tranquil because they back onto a small area of woodlands. Within the walled space, residents can stroll along the paths, rest under the pergola, or catch-up with loved ones on the patio.

They want residents to settle in quickly and be happy here. That’s why they help them to hold onto as much independence as possible.

There’s also good food, lots to do, and a warm welcome for friends and family whenever they visit.

The team of activity coordinators plan all sorts of interesting things to do, including those who are less mobile. All activities are tailored to each person's likes and abilities too.

The chef prepares a range of delicious foods, including some family favourites and kosher meals.

Care and medical attention is exceptional. Could not fault it.
As part of Hill House Care Home has a preservation order. Windows are only single glazing in rooms. Extra heating needed during recent cold spell.

Came to visit my mother-in-law this afternoon, and we participated in the Rosh Hashanah, Jewish New Year activity - music, shofar, flute, clarinet, piano and Teurish music. The two activity leaders were just fabulous, it was meaningful, engaging and wonderful to see a smile on my mother-in-law's face.
For her it was first Rosh Hashanah and away from home - it was so meaningful with a touch of 'home'. Plus delicious cake. She was incredible - full of energy and smiles!

The staff have been wonderful, caring for my mum at a difficult time for both her and her family.
Although Mum did eat all of the food she was offered, it was first class. Well prepared and tasty.
Mum is happy to move on from Hill House but will miss many of the staff she has got to know in the short
time she was here.

Everyone at Hill House is very friendly, they always put themselves out to accommodate any situation. The residents are treated with kindness and respect and dignity, and the activities are many and varied. The food is very good and birthdays always catered for.

My uncle has been treated with the utmost respect since entering the care home, whilst he didn't want to be there to start with staff have been friendly and are always helpful when we visit even when he is a bit grumpy.

I’m sorry I don’t tell you more often how much my husband and I both really appreciate the level of care he receives at Hill House and what a massive impact it has on his wellbeing generally. But we are both very grateful! Thank you, and to all the staff who go out of their way to make his day more
enjoyable.
In addition to the excellent daily physical care, the staff who pop in for a quick chat, help him with practical matters and arrange interesting events/trips out really make such a difference. It is a great comfort to know that he is cared for, in every sense of the word. Thank you Hill House!

My mother came for respite care. She thoroughly benefitted from her time spent in the lovely, friendly and professional atmosphere of Hill House. Her room was very pleasant, the staff gave excellent care and attention to my mum's needs with much warmth and consideration. Group activities stimulated
her and gave her much enjoyment and rewarding contact with her fellow residents. Thank you all for your support!

It was such a relief to come here. The welcoming nurse said it would be a few days to adapt and it was so. I came for respite, feeling exhausted, my outside circumstances have possibly improved, but my stay gave me time to think and to reflect which is what I needed to date. I am full of admiration
for the care staff - the food was unimportant to me under the circumstances, but I understand the limits of bulk catering. Thank you sincerely.

I found the staff to be very helpful. The building and its surroundings were clean and well-maintained. My mother's room was sufficiently large and kept to a temperature suitable for an elderly person. On quibble was the bedside light which while oriented was difficult to switch on and off from over
function. When I visited, I was able to order a meal at short notice, so that I could share the table with my mother - the staff were very accommodating when dealing with my requests, and the meal portions were generous, several with a fresh salad. Overall, an impressive facility.

My partner has spent the last four weeks in Hill House after being discharged from the hospital. So far, I cannot fault the care that has been given to him and myself. The food is excellent, considering the amount of residents that are there. I would recommend Hill House to anyone. It's like a very
nice four-star to five-star hotel. Cannot remark on activities as my man is bedridden.
