Premier Court Care Home

My mum has been at Premiere Court for four or five years now and it has been truly excellent during the whole of that time. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and genuinely show an interest in the residents well being and happiness. The facilities are excellent and the staff make great efforts to ensure that the residents get the maximum advantage from what is on offer. In our case, Mum is bedridden but in the earlier years when she was interested, they would get her into a wheelchair so that she could attend the many visiting entertainments such as singers, comedians and speakers. They also go to great effort to ensure she eats and drinks sufficiently, even on off days when she's not that interested in food. The environment is also very nice with the whole building on one level and garden views in all of the rooms. A great thing for us is that dogs are allowed to visit - as my mum loves seeing the dog and stroking her. Full marks - good experience - strongly recommend!

This is a cheerful, friendly, well run home with lovely staff who I enjoy chatting with when I visit my mother. The place is clean and the food is fine. I feel great peace of mind knowing that my mum is being well looked after and cared for here particularly during these awkward times when visiting is not allowed. I would recommend this place to anyone either for respite or long-term care.

End of life care must be the most harrowing to deal with but it is conducted with the greatest understanding and I would highly recommend the care home in its current footprint to anyone who has to consider such care or alternative care for rehab or respite.

I would like to thank all the staff for the care and attention they have shown to my aunt. Not only over the last few months but for all the time she has been with you. On visiting the home and my aunt's room has always been clean and tidy and the staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you all for your help.

Premier Court has turned my elderly mum’s life around. The caring and diligent staff provide a safe and enjoyable environment where she never feels lonely as there is always something going on. Apart from the dedicated management and nurses that attend her every need, a full programme of daily activities ensures that she is stimulated and involved, which makes her feel a real part of the home. Through difficult COVID times and no visiting, the home have found the time to help my mum FaceTime me and although she misses us, I can tell by her happy face that she is being looked after in the best possible way which puts my mind at rest.

This has been a difficult time for the home but they have dealt with the lockdown situation extremely well. Always happy if you call to give an update of your relative. I cannot thank them enough for the care and kindness they have shown to my Mum. Thank you to all the staff.

The care my mother receives is outstanding. I was a care provider myself for 40 years and believe Premier Court Care Home to be quite exceptional. I would not want my mother to be anywhere else.

Whilst it is not a luxury home, everything one needs is there, most especially the care and kindness of the staff.

My mother stayed at the home for 12 days. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, the food was excellent and the care was second to none. Unfortunately, Mum had to go to hospital so her stay was cut short.

Mum has been in Premier Court for nearly a month now after being transferred from the hospital for end of life care. The staff are brilliant (from cleaners, cooks, carers, sisters). They are on the ball with any problems and always take time to talk to me when I need reassurance. It's a difficult time for us as a family, but they have made the transition very easy on us and Mum.

The level of care and compassion at Premier Court is second to none. The staff - all of them - everyone I encountered - was amazing, helpful, supportive, caring and energised, upbeat and characterful, which made us feel very welcome, at home, taken care of and know that dad was in excellent hands with wonderful carers. Thank you a million times over.

Premier Court is a very caring and welcoming care home. All the staff we met were friendly and kind. We were greatly reassured that we were leaving my mother-in-law in good hands with professional 24 hr care. The home is well maintained and lovely location adjacent to the picturesque Southern Country Park in Bishop Stortford.

My aunt has been in Premier Court Care Home for nearly 3 weeks respite. The care has been excellent and she has no complaints. All staff are pleasant and helpful and treat her with kindness and compassion. She is due to go home next week and we have discussed her future needs. If she needs to have 24-hour care she has expressed a wish to return here.

The manager is very hands-on and is always approachable and helpful. The deputy manager was lovely and supportive when we first made contact with the home. We have sampled a breakfast and it was lovely. The chef and the staff in the dining room made us very welcome. The nurses there have been so helpful and involved. The care staff are great. The activities coordinator is absolutely brilliant. Whilst this is only our fourth day here I am confident that my mother in law will be well looked after.

My (elderly) friend has recently required some respite care following a fall at her home. From the moment we walked through the door for the initial assessment, she was made to feel welcome, as were we. All the staff, without exception, greeted us as we were given a conducted tour. My friend has only been at Premier Court for a few days but has improved mobility and confidence. She is a quiet person, lives alone with little social interaction. During the first few days, she has been encouraged and got involved with carpet boules, a concert and dining in the very pleasant dining room with other residents. The food is good and there’s always a choice. They are varied and we’ve certainly seen our friend eat heartily at all mealtimes. At the fear of sounding “O.T.T”, the staff, without exception are remarkable adjusting their skills to suit each individual. They are a great caring team lead by an excellent “hands-on” manager. We have peace of mind.

All the staff really show that they care and go out of their way to find acceptable solutions.

We are extremely happy with the care my mother receives at Premier Court. The staff are approachable, caring and very friendly. They do an amazing job. While we have plenty of worries as our mother's health deteriorates, it is a comfort to know she is being so well cared for.

I am happy to leave my dad in the capable hands of Premier Court and the team. Everyone is so warm and I thoroughly enjoy my time visiting Dad. I'm very happy.
