No real problems, though sometimes the bed laundry is a bit hit-and-miss. Overall, Mum is quite happy here and feels safe.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your mum in our care and we hope you all feel like a part of our Tenterden House Care Home family. We will discuss your feedback to help them continually improve our service. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make her stay as comfortable as possible.
My wife was with Tenterden House Care Home for five weeks (following hospital discharge) and she passed away there. She was cared for gently and respectfully and looked after by the nurses and Tenterden's GP. As a family after the initial settling in we felt supported and listened to, and on the day she passed away the home made space for the family to visit and we felt cared for, and our needs accommodated. Thank you Tenterden House.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your kind words. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time and we are saddened to hear about your loss. Thank you for choosing Tenterden House for your stay.
The staff couldn't have been more kind and caring. It was lovely to see the same staff all the time to get to know their names so that Mum was able to build a relationship with them. Following the recent refurbishment the decor and furniture were beautiful, felt like a really good hotel.
Thank you for your kind words. It is always nice to hear words like “kind” and “caring” being used to describe our care. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your mum in our care. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
Mum also participated in the monthly church service and also took part in Christian services, local clergy do a great job to include residents with their liturgy and seasonal focus. This was really important for her and also for us.
Mum passed away recently when she had a second severe stroke. She was able to receive end-of-life care at Tenterden House and we were so grateful that this was possible in what was her home. We were also so very well supported as a family. Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are saddened to hear about your loss. We were happy to help you and your family through such a difficult time. We hope Tenterden House Care Home did everything possible during her stay to make her as comfortable as possible. It is always nice to hear from family...
The staff work well with my sister, advising and helping her while respecting her independence. As she has learning difficulties this can take time and I appreciate the patience of the staff. My sister's physical and mental health has improved a lot since she has been there.
Thank you for your feedback. We are so happy that we are able to provide the support and environment your sster requires to maintain her independence. Thank you for choosing us for her care.
After nearly 4 years of having to look after my bed bound Aunt she is always clean and greatly cared for, I have recommended Tenterden house many times and will continue to to do so
Thank you for your kind review and for your recommendation.
I am more than happy here. I get on well with the residents and staff. My experience of Tenterden House - I am more than satisfied with the care and support given to me. The staff are kind and helpful.

My sister has been a resident for many years and the staff are very attentive to her many needs and spend a lot of time keeping her entertained. They are also very kind when I bring my elderly mother to visit.
Thank you for your kind words. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make her stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you for choosing Tenterden House for your sister's stay.
My dad has only been at Tenterden House one week and has settled in very well and finds all the staff friendly and helpful.

Overall, I am pleased with our sister's care. I would like to see more carers in the home. However, I do understand that staffing issues are a problem. I also think that the sizes of the room could be bigger.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind review. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your sister in our care. We will discuss your feedback with the home's manager to help them to continually improve their service. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your sister's stay as comfortable as possible.
My mum has now spent several months at the care home and in that time has received the best medical care as well as personal and well-being care to support her needs. The staff go out of their way to ensure that she is comfortable and included in all decisions about her care. Where Mum has had to make hospital or clinic visits, it is so reassuring to know that even transport arrangements can be made on her behalf to ensure that these run smoothly. Moving into a care home has been a major life change for Mum but I am very grateful that I know that she is in the very best of hands.
Thank you for your lovely review. We hope Tenterden House care home did everything to make the transition as easy as possible. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Thank you for choosing our care home for your stay and we are looking forward to seeing you again soon.
Staff that care for my father seem to genuinely care. My father is happy and always seems happy when the team come into his room. Arrival at the care home is often met with staff who, I feel, are frustrated to be on door duty (based on their demeanor when they greet you).
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear your father feels at ease in our care. We will discuss your feedback with the homes manager to help them continually improve their service. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make father's stay as comfortable as possible.
I would like to thank Tenterden House Care Home for the lovely party I had for my 101 birthday with my family and friends. The staff were very good, everyone was very good to make sure I had a lovely day. I would highly recommend my family and friends to come live in this home.
Thank you for your feedback. We are so happy that you enjoyed your very special birthday party. Thank you for your recommendation.
I came to Tenterden House Care Home to have an overview the day before my mother was due to arrive and felt very content with the establishment from the moment I arrived. This was reinforced with each member of staff I met and continues to do so. The home reminds me of a hotel we use in Devon and return to regularly. My mother is very, very content here and I am very reassured by this and it puts my mind at rest.
Thank you for your kind words. We hope Tenterden House care home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make mother's stay as comfortable as possible and we look forward to seeing you again.
It's the best care home for my recovery I've been in over the past year. Pity management and certain medical staff do not listen to residents' remarks - very frustrating when one is still switched on like myself! I do not like having agency staff, much prefer the professional staff, they know what they are doing. The chefs here are very good and listen to your comments. The entertainment care lady is excellent.
Thank you for your feedback, I will certainly pass your comments on to the management team. We are glad that you enjoyed the food our chefs provided and the activities available while you were with us. Thank you for choosing us for your care.
When I visit my husband in your care home, I am always made welcome. All staff are very friendly and helpful, my husband is very well cared for and is happy there, so that pleases me. My children also enjoy visiting their dad there. All in all Tenterden House suits us all very well.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. It is so nice to hear you describe our staff as friendly and helpful. Thank you for choosing us to care for your Husband.
What can I say to adequately articulate the appreciation and warmth that I feel for all of the staff at this care home? They are meticulous with the attention to detail to meet a service user's needs, they put the service user at the heart of every decision they thoughtfully take. The care and compassion that our father has been shown by all here is just as one would hope for. I cannot praise this care home enough. I thank them deeply for the reassurance that they have given us as a family that our father is in excellent care. Due to his condition, they have kindly allowed us to visit outside of the core visiting hours too. We cannot thank them enough, ever.
Thank you for your kind words. We are so happy that you are at ease with your Father in our care at Tenterden House and that you feel his care is excellent. Thank you again for taking the time to leave us your review.
Over the last few months, the quality of food seems to have dropped a little. It would be nice if there was a review of the dishes that are served and some new dishes put on the BUPA menu or let the chef have free reign of what they cook a few times a week.
Thank you for your feedback. It is always nice to hear words like "polite, professional and caring" to describe our staff. In regards to the menu, we will discuss your feedback with the home's manager to help them continually improve their service.
Our refurbishment, which took place earlier this year, reflects great credit on all concerned in the work. I'm very happy with my room in its refurbished state. The bed and curtains get a special mention. I'd also like to thank our staff for the way they kept everything going during the refurbishing and the management for their caring oversight.
Thank you for your feedback, we are very happy to hear that you like the new look and that it wasn't too disruptive for you whilst the work was being done.
Continues to be attentive and caring.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments, It is lovely to hear that you find us attentive and caring in our home.
