Tenterden House provides long and short-stay residential and nursing care. From Parkinson’s, cerebral palsy, MS and other complex and long term conditions, Tenterden House offers care for older people with a wide range of care needs.

Set in 13-acres of beautiful gardens, the home has been skilfully converted to meet residents’ needs without sacrificing any of its Victorian charm. The home offers a warm and homely environment. The home benefits from lots of communal space, indoor and outside space for residents and relatives to enjoy.

Care packages are regularly assessed for developing needs and tailored to palliative, convalescence and respite needs. Working closely with the local hospital, the home also offers a rehabilitation pathway to help improve mobility and independence with visiting occupational therapists and physiotherapists.

They go the extra mile to help residents enjoy their time here. From helping a resident who previously had a stroke to complete a marathon, to putting on social events with their neighbouring Bupa care home, Allington Court.

There’s a real sense of community at the home. The staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests.

Our Aunt spent her last few months in the excellent care of the team at Tenterden House. We can't thank them enough for the way they helped us arrange her care, the way the cared for our Aunt, the involvement they gave us and the dignity with which they nursed her through her final days. Each and
every team member from the laundry staff, the cleaning staff, the catering staff, the administration staff, the carers, the nurses to the management were exemplary. We were welcome at all times of day and night and the staff didn't only just care for our Aunt they cared for us too. We looked at a number of Nursing Homes before we settled on Tenterden House - many much newer an glossier but they didn't give us the warm feeling we got from Tenterden House and we definitely made the right decision. If you are looking for a reliable, caring, efficient, considerate nursing home for yourself or a relative look no further.
