Wilton House Nursing & Residential Home

All her team of carers are very good. Mum requires assistance with everything and they are always there by her side. They encourage her to socialise; bingo, music, activities etc all available in the lounge. They also encourage eating together in the dining room but she has had a tray in her room on occasions when necessary. Thank you to a wonderful team for being kind and understanding and taking care of my mum.

My husband has been a resident since May 2025. I can't say enough about the staff and activity team. They look after my husband with a lot of care and empathy. The activity team are brilliant. My husband joins in. He loves the music and gets on really well with Teresa and Gianina. They're not only the activity team but spend a lot of time with the residents and helping the staff. They know how to get the residents involved. Overall the care/nursing home are fantastic. Not only to the residents but the families too

During her last 10 days, the support and kindness of the registered nurses and Team during the period to the Family was fantastic and very appreciated.

The team at Wilton House are fantastic. My father had advanced Dementia and Alzheimers and we as a family were so grateful that my dad was able to spend his final years in this wonderful care home.The team gave so much care, kindness, patience and understanding to my dad's challenging needs. We were always kept well informed, made to feel welcome as part of the care home family and never once did we leave the care home concerned or worried about my fathers care, we could leave with peace of mind. They are an amazing team of people and the management definitely know how to run an outstanding care home, I will always be forever grateful and would highly recommend this care home.

The team looked after our dad for 4 years and showed him the utmost care and kindness. They would share photos of activities. It was obvious when we visited him that the staff cared for him, which was very reassuring for us.

My mother is a resident in the Nursing Home and I can honestly say that myself and my siblings continue to be overwhelmed by the quality of the care she receives. The Carers are all Angels - they always treat my mother with the upmost respect, compassion, kindness & love. The Nurses are amazing too - they treat my mother in the same amazing way, taking proactive action to keep her on an even keel and comfortable, always comprehensively debriefing me on how she's been since my previous visit. Alina (The Manager) is very helpful, compassionate, knowledgeable and caring - clearly she manages the home by setting an amazing example that her wonderful team follow. Anybody needing care for their love ones Wilton House my strong recommendation.

My husband has been at Wilton House for 4 weeks. I am very happy with the care he is receiving. He has complex issues, both physical and mental, and can be very demanding at times. The manager and all the staff are very caring, compassionate and have lots of patience. I think the staff all do an incredible job. As well as looking after him so well they always have time to talk to me. I would highly recommend Wilton House to anyone who is seeking residential/nursing care for themselves or their relative.

My mum was a resident until very recently when she passed away. The care she received over the 2 years she was at the home was fantastic. I always found the staff extremely helpful and caring. I can only thank them so much for looking after my mum.

I note the rating is limited to 'Excellent' but it is my opinion that Wilton House and the team are rated 'Outstanding'.

We are beyond blessed that our mum was placed here after a spell in hospital. From the very first calls with the management team, we have only ever received the best of care, communication, kindness, love and attention for our dear mum who is sadly passing with dementia. She has a lovely room with all her personal belongings and pictures up. The nurses are so compassionate to her needs and their love and care for her is so evident in the way they speak and treat her they bring a smile to her face which is so beautiful to see and her comfort and dignity at this sad time is paramount to them. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They also care and support us as relatives. We receive regular updates via phone or email. They also really listen to what mum likes and do her eyebrows and lipstick for her which is so lovely. Their attention to detail for her is so special. We can’t highly recommend this beautiful place enough and we feel so lucky she’s in their best safe wonderful care. Thank you all from our hearts.

I would just like to praise the most welcoming and friendly staff at the Wilton House and Residential Home. As soon as I stepped into the Reception a member of staff was there to greet me and show me exactly where to go to meet my mother. My mother is housed in a most beautiful private room for her to rest in. The Nursing Home is extremely clean and secure. A checking-in and out system is in place. Security codes are required to enter the floors in the Home and also to exit the building, so in a security sense, this is first class. The staff and everyone who works in the home are just simply warm and so welcoming. They all treat my mother with such respect and love as if she were their own mother. Nothing is too much trouble when you ask for anything and to contact the home by telephone is no problem at all. My mother is cared for in the most loving way possible. And she is regularly checked upon through the day time and night. I can very highly recommend this Nursing Home to everyone.

We cannot thank the manager and staff at Wilton House enough for everything they did for my father at the end of his days.

They took great care of my dad in his final year. I appreciated the kindness, care, and compassion the team at Wilton House showed towards my dad. I am grateful that they were able to provide a respectful and caring environment where my dad's needs were met. His care team showed him patience and tenderness throughout his time there. The care home manager is especially dedicated to her work and her residents. It is clear that she genuinely cares for her residents (and their families).

My dad is very settled at this care home. He has advanced dementia and usually recognises me. No one else visits him so it is wonderful that the caring staff keep him busy with lots of activities as well as rest. They have fed him up in the last 2 years as he is quite slender usually. I can't praise them enough for caring for my dad so much. All of the staff including the admin staff know who he is.

I cannot speak more highly of Wilton House; their manager and her fantastic staff. They’ve looked after my mum now for around 2 years. She arrived at Wilton House severely underweight. And then, a recent dementia diagnosis and simply had no desire or ability to live independently anymore. We thought she might not have long to live. Not the case. The manager and her staff intensively looked after mum on arrival. 24 hour care. They literally nursed her back to health. True professionals with care at the heart of what they do- changed my mums life and ours as a family. They gave care, mental support, medical intervention and knew how to bring mum back to us. Care my sister and I could not. Now my mum is back to a fantastic weight. All her meds are in place to support her well-being. Because of this, her dementia is progressing much slower than we expected. Always proactive with her care planning; we know exactly what’s happening and are kept updated. A wonderful care home.

All this was done in a lovely environment and friendly atmosphere.
