This is an interim review. My mother moved into Wilton House on the 14th of February 2023 and is still a resident there. I have been heartened by the treatment my mother has so far received, and by the kindness shown towards her and my family. I have been impressed by the attitude of the manager and staff; everyone we have been in contact with has gone out of their way to help us. I live over 200 miles away, and when I have not been able to visit my mother, the staff have kept me updated by email as to my mother's health and are quick to respond to my requests for any updates on her condition.

My Aunt was admitted last Thursday to Wilton House ten days ago on palliative care. Unfortunately, she passed away.
The staff and the nurses and the manager went above and beyond for my Aunt and for us as a family, the support they gave our aunt and us as a family and how caring and thoughtful they were is unmeasurable and they made the last ten days so much easier, for my aunt and us as a family.

We as a family are so grateful and indebted to them for their care and commitment to easing our loved ones' pain and ours. Thank you!

Our aunt was moved to Wilton house this month. In the ten days that she was in your care, she couldn't have been looked after better. All the staff on the lavender floor and management made us, the family, feel at ease. You will forever be in our gratitude. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking to move a loved one with dementia. The care that is given to all their patients and their families is outstanding.

My mother has been a resident at Wilton house since 2020. Though the pandemic and up to today I have found all the staff to be extremely supportive and very caring towards my mother and myself and my family.

No one wants to go through losing their loved one, especially over a long period but knowing you have a wonderful team looking after mum and always there for us makes the process that much easier to deal with. Thank you so much to all

From the time you come into the home, the reception staff are kind, helpful and friendly. My brother is always happy and well looked after. If I have ever had any concerns they are dealt with almost immediately. The carers are kind and patient, the home is always clean and tidy as are all the residents. The food is really nice and varied. The manager is always approachable and hands-on with the residents and reassured us all that it is what's best for our loved ones.

My father became a resident in January this year. It was very difficult for me to accept this, as to me his dementia deteriorated quite quickly. I must express my gratitude and thanks to the manager and the rest of the staff who have taken really good care of my dad and helped me through this experience. My dad is well looked after and happy and has built up a nice relationship with one of the carers

Thank you all.

Mum celebrated her 98th Birthday last Friday. She and our family have lived with Dementia since 2014. We moved her to a local care home. After five years of steady deterioration, variable moods, anger and constant demands, followed by a stay in hospital due to a care home accident, we were hit by Covid, and the care home closed. We had to move her again, but the second care home could not cope with her moods, instability, always calling, not eating or sleeping, and with their huge costs. In August 2020, we found Wilton House Nursing home. Their care and concern from her first day were total in so many ways. Within the first few months, she had stabilised more than in her first years of the condition, with real nursing care and allowing Mum to be herself and not part of a crowd. She has no memory of her previous life, and the staff are her family who gets on better than I do. Many can tell of their story, which highlights this terrible condition but will be made easier at Wilton with their care.

My husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2016. He was moved to Wilton House after four months in hospital. He is now bedridden and can't speak. From day one, Wilton House gave us a good impression. The manager is very open and friendly. The staff are very kind and helpful. The place is always clean and tidy. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful. Should you have a request, the nurses and carers are always at hand. Our recent meeting was handled fairly and professionally. My husband was very frightened and disorientated at the hospital, but since he is at Wilton House he has actually started to smile again and he even knows who I am. He is so much happier now and we, as a family are so grateful to know that he is so well looked after.

My father recently had his care plan review, and he suffers from dementia. I can not fault the staff at the home. They have looked after my father for two years, and their support has been amazing. Not just for him but for myself too, when dealing with his deterioration. All medical information and details of his ongoing care are very clear. Regular reviews are conducted and documented. They really have a fabulous, caring team.

The staff have been fantastic with my dad as, unfortunately, his dementia causes him to be quite angry and aggressive at times and I know they have worked so hard to settle him, which finally happened and he is calmer and settled now.

The rating I have submitted is for the overall service of the team.
The home listens to all concerns or worries you may have about your relative and will act on any proposals or submissions of improvements.
The caring attitude of all staff across the whole facility is outstanding.

The team at the home is led by a good manager and this is displayed throughout the environment of the home.

When my mum was diagnosed with dementia in late 2020, like many families I did not know how things would progress. When it became clear that the home-care option was no longer viable earlier this year, my mum was finally transferred to Wilton House, after an extended hospital stay. Whilst moving my mum into long-term care and coming to terms with the decision is one of the hardest things I have ever done, all of the staff at Wilton House have gone out of their way to make the process as easy as possible and welcome my mum into her new home. The manager and all of her staff are always so friendly and my visits often descend into fits of laughter, which is a very rare thing. The level of personal commitment and dedication they show is exceptional and clearly evident throughout and I thank them for all of the kindness they show my mum. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Words are not enough to express how grateful I am for this place and for this team. My mum's life changed after her heart surgery, coma and hospitalisation for long period of time. I was struggling myself with finding solutions and give the best for my mum and yet, I cannot believe my mum was sent to this amazing place. Each person in the team brings value to the care. I was reticent leaving my mum to go in a place like this as I've always believed that my mum deserves the best. But I couldn't ask for more, Wilton House and its team is the best place for my mum to be. My mum is well, she recovered in only a few months, she is brilliant and she is happy and this is the most important for all of us. I recommend Wilton House, the manager, all the caring team and the entire staff! Thank you so much for all you are doing for everyone!

I am very happy with the care provided for my mother who has dementia, is off her feet and can be uncooperative. Mother needed nursing care after hospitalisation when it became apparent she was beyond the capabilities of the residential home she was in previously. Mum is very happy in Wilton House, she feels safe and loved. It is reassuring to know my mother is in a safe place and is getting the right level of care. I cannot praise the staff enough, they are saints!

Thank you for supporting our mother at this very difficult time. Since arriving her whole demeanour has changed, from being very negative and depressed to now being more like herself, a stable and engaging person. This is all down to the high level of care and support she is receiving from all the staff. We would not hesitate to recommend this nursing home.

My mum was moved to Wilton House in October 2020, at which time, she was confused, upset and unwell. Within three weeks of the wonderful care that she receives at Wilton House, I started to glimpse 'my' mum again.
The family atmosphere has given Mum such pleasure. She knows all of her carers and nurses and they have made enormous efforts to make her feel welcomed and loved. The kindness and understanding that Mum has received has made such a difference to her.
As a family, we have lost my dad (they were married nearly 60 years) and my younger sister in the past few years. Mum has all her photographs and belongings around her and feels completely at home. There is only Mum and I now, and the care that Mum receives, gives me the opportunity to be her daughter again, instead of her carer, which is an enormous relief.

As a relative, I am always treated with great kindness and respect and I really cannot praise the management and staff highly enough. Thank you so very much!

My mother in law was a resident at Wilton House from last March, the Manager and staff have all been very caring and helpful throughout this time. The care she received was at a very high standard. The grounds are immaculate and the home is very clean and bright. Wilton House clearly have the residents needs at the heart of their service. We would not hesitate to recommend this nursing home.

My dear Mum came to Wilton House Care Home six weeks ago after a hospital discharge for a broken hip. She arrived there in a very restless and fragile state and needed 24/7, 1-1 care initially. The staff have treated her with great respect and love throughout her stay. The Registered General Nurse in charge was born to be a carer and has overseen a great improvement in Mum's mental and physical health as she continues to grow stronger. It's so very hard to see my Mum the way she is, and to be honest Wilton House has been a total godsend for me. I find visiting Mum a delight and the staff are always in hand to provide updates with a warm smile to make me feel at home. I would recommend Wilton House to anyone looking for a loving caring environment for their relative. Thank you so much.

My mother became a resident of Wilton House back in January 2020 with dementia and Parkinson’s. My brother and I were concerned about Mum being in a home for the first time, but we didn’t need to be, as the staff are amazing.

Mum had settled in so well; then Covid hit us all, the manager and all the staff were amazing. Closed the home down quickly to protect the residents while keeping all the families up to date with any changes. Organised video calls so we could keep in touch with our loved ones. I can’t thank them enough knowing Mum was being cared for and looked after so well. Through this whole experience, I’ve come to know these amazing people who went above and beyond for all of us. It’s so lovely to be able to go and see Mum again and to be able to say thank you in person to an amazing team. If you are in the position of needing to find a nursing home for your loved one, visit Wilton House, you won’t regret it. Thank you to the manager and all the caring, professional amazing team at Wilton House.

I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care my mother receives at Wilton House. She has been a resident for 18 months and is very happy and content there. Staffing is excellent: the residence is immaculate and the skills of all workers are first-rate. Staff take a lot of time to ensure my mum receives nutrition and enjoyment whilst eating; the food is fresh and very well-prepared. My mum is bedbound now, but carers go out of their way to include her in a variety of stimulating activities. All members of staff are friendly and dedicated to giving residents the very best care possible. This is a home where staff sincerely care for the residents, and they all know each individual resident very well; my mum feels loved and safe there. The management is superb: very knowledgeable and always available to answer questions. The professional nursing care is also of a remarkable level. I could not recommend Wilton House more highly.
