The manager and her staff provide outstanding service and support for their clients with inclusion of the families, my Nan was only there for a relatively short while but whilst she was there the whole team were fantastic.

Excellent nursing home my 95-year-old mother-in-law who has severe dementia has only been at Chestfield House for a few weeks but the difference in her is incredible, from being at home where she was always tired and sleeping most of the day, she was eating and drinking very little, she was struggling to swallow, she had a fall 2 months ago and cut her leg very badly we didn't think her leg would heal, at Chestfield house with the care of the manager and her very caring competent staff she is more lively, her eyes are clear her skin no longer sallow and she is eating and drinking very well and her leg is healing nicely.
Her room is very comfortable and warm, although she doesn't partake of all the activities that are on offer very often, she does like to watch the other residents.
Chestfield House has taken so much pressure off us as a family.

Visiting is 24-7 so we can enjoy our time with her and know she is being looked after very well and professionally.

The care and attention my stepmother received from the first day to the last day of her time there, far exceeded our expectations on every level.
It quickly became apparent to us, that the manager and her entire staff weren't just professional people carrying out their duties, but were a well-managed team, working together to give each resident the best possible care. They did so always with a smile, dignity, and compassion.
This care and attention was afforded not only to Mum but to any family and friends that visited.
No request was too much trouble for any of the staff.
I can only offer my heartfelt thanks to the entire team, at a difficult time for us, it was a pleasure knowing each and every one of you.

I would recommend Chestfield House to anyone without any hesitation.

From the very first time Muim set foot in the care home, they could not do enough for her. The manager and every one of her staff were amazing. The whole place had a friendly welcoming vibe to it. The care Mum got was the best we could wish for. Had a lovely room and she was very happy there and was treated with utmost respect and dignity. I can't thank everyone enough for everything they did for not only her but also every visitor.

Our Father, Grandfather, and great-grandfather were placed under the care of Chestfield House. Up until the sudden illness he had lived with us at home, independent of his personal needs, so moving to a home was a hard decision.

The staff could not have been kinder and understanding to both his and our needs such wonderful staff, thank you.

My mother-in-law had a very difficult final 14 months due to ill health. The home did everything it could to improve her quality of life during this time and keep her as comfortable as possible. They made her visitors welcome and always greeted everyone with a smile. We are very grateful to the staff involved for their care and patience.

My mother-in-law was at the home for just over a year. In that time the staff took the time to get to know her, her likes and dislikes, her hobbies and asked about the family. Their care was professional, kind and caring all of the time making sure she was comfortable and assessing when pain relief was needed in consultation with her. They were accommodating when we wished to bring in our own picnic for our mum. When visiting if it was refreshment time visitors were offered a beverage and biscuits.
We brought in photos and pictures of family, and babies new to the clan and adorned the room so that it felt homely and personal. On her birthday the home provided a cake and singing to celebrate the occasion.

It was comforting when leaving the home to know she was in such good care.

My mother spent the last 15 months of her life being cared for by the lovely staff at Chestfield House. They treated her with dignity and managed to meet her regular demands with patience and humour, they allowed her to personalise her time by letting have her own coffees and soups, and most importantly butter for her toast!
She had her wall with pictures etc.

I only have praise for them all! Thank you for making her so comfortable

On the occasions I visited the staff were always polite, friendly and helpful. They tried their best if there was a particular dietary request made by my stepmother. We were always offered a drink and staff tried to find extra chairs for visitors when needed. The room was kept clean and tidy and staff tried to make my step-mum as comfortable as possible.

We chose Chestfield House from a limited list of homes able to provide continuing health care for our dad’s final days, following a stay in the hospice. We knew he was dying imminently and it was very important to us that he was not alone when he passed away. Staff ensured this was the case, allowing us to come and go as necessary, when we felt he was close to the end. For this, I am truly grateful and I commend them for their care, kindness and compassion. We did come across one member of staff whom I would say was ‘difficult’, but then, there is always one! The room was a bit tired, but in general, the home was warm, clean and comfortable. Dad (and his visitors) were made to feel welcome and most importantly, staff ensured Dad passed away with dignity and free of pain. We could not have asked for more. The manager was just so lovely to us. I can’t thank her enough.

My mum first found it difficult as her independence had now ceased due to her health. My mum found the staff friendly and helpful and this helped her transition. She said the food was OK, but hated the toast cold, but loved her hot coffee which the staff made sure was to her liking, the staff worked very hard to make my mum comfortable and to ensure her food was nice. My mum always was glamorous and the staff helped my mum with her hair and makeup. I would say Mum was quite happy as the staff would come and chat with her which she enjoyed and the staff made all her visitors very welcome. I personally found all the staff lovely, friendly and helpful. The room was standard clean but maybe needed a coat of paint and new blinds to make it more homely.

My mother was a resident from mid-January 2023 until her recent passing. The shortest review would be to say that when my time comes I hope that I can go to a home that is identical to Chestfield House and is run by the current team.
Everyone is so very professional but to me, even more important, friendly and approachable.

I'm so pleased with the kindness and dignity our Mum received during her visit. Mum always felt safe and we knew she was being looked after with care and compassion.

My dad stayed here when he had cancer and was very weak and fragile, however, all the staff were very caring and attentive and looked after him very well.
His room was bright, clean and had a good view. Parking when visiting was not a worry. As a family, we were glad to have chosen Chestfield house for him, he was comfortable and was taken excellent care of.

I wish to express my gratitude to the manager and everyone at Chesterfield House.

The manager and her team of professional carers have provided my mother an exemplary standard of care over the past thirty months. Every member of the team is approachable and friendly, including all the auxiliary staff and those providing additional services such as hair care and chiropodists.
