My Mum moved into Glebefields on 20/03/2020 from hospital, just before lockdown. She was very distressed as we had not seen her the week before while she was in the hospital and her condition had deteriorated. We have seen her only twice due to coronavirus, and she was very distressed as she could not understand why we could not give her a kiss and a hug, so we have not been able to visit. Mum has Alzheimer's/dementia and has been very agitated and has challenging behaviour for the staff to deal with. The wonderful staff have kept Mum safe and very well cared for. They are all so patient and understanding of her condition. Mum was 81 in July and a birthday cake was made for her with candles that she blew out and everyone sang happy birthday to her, she looked like she was having a lovely time. She was dancing to Abba one afternoon when I called and I could hear her laughing in the background! Glebefields care home staff are amazing, I do not know what we would have done without them.
Thank you ever so much for the support and co-operation from yourselves. Without your input, we would not have been able to support mum in the best possible.
My father is about to become respite to long term with nursing care. I cannot explain how much they have helped me with all the problems I have had to get him into a suitable home. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your comments, Dad is settling in well and we are delighted to look after him here at Glebefields!
I came here quite ill, but over time I am now very well, improved beyond expectation due to care. Thank you.
Thank you so very much for your lovely words. We are so glad that we have been able to make a difference for you.
My husband looked very content and it meant so much to me to see him.
Thank you all again.
Thank you for taking time to review and feedback to us, we are so pleased that you enjoyed the reunion for your anniversary and it was an absolute pleasure to arrange this for you for such a special occasion.
My husband has been at Glebefields for over a year and his care and requirements are met. We’ve always found him to be well cared for, well-fed, comfortable, happy, staff are lovely caring people and if we requested anything it’s always been tried to facilitate. We are looking forward to meeting outside in the garden as we’ve not been able to see him for a long time and hope that happens quite soon.
My dad was a resident for a very short period before his health sadly failed, but during this time, the staff went out of their way to make him feel welcome, cared for and comfortable. The deputy manager showed great empathy for our situation, arranging a swift admission and treated us all with great respect and compassion. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and the ability to WhatsApp to talk too and see him was very reassuring (no visiting due to the pandemic). Dad was lucky too, to stay in one of the rooms with lovely views over the local countryside.
Thank you so very much for your wonderful comments. Stay safe.
My husband and I could not have asked for a better place than Glebefields (Drayton) for his respite period. Each and every one of the staff that we met were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The carers were very good. Office staff to nurses and cleaners were most helpful No problems were too much. Thank you, everyone.
My husband has been here for two years and we are exceptionally happy with his care. The staff are all wonderfully kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble! There is a good family atmosphere and the different preferences of the residents are catered for. I am happy to recommend Glebefields.
Mum has been at Glebefields since July 2019 and although was very anxious at first, within two days was asking if she could stay forever. She has made lots of friends and is very happy in this lovely caring environment. The staff are all so brilliant and are very genuine with both residents and each other. It is like being part of an extended family. There is much laughter, and you get a great sense of teamwork. As family members, we feel welcomed and greatly supported as part of the Glebefields community.
Thank you for your review and feedback, this will be shared with the team here at Glebefields. We take all reviews very seriously using the information to better ourselves and the service we provide.
My friend has been a resident in Glebefields for five years and has received the very best of personal and nursing care. Nothing is too much trouble for the caring staff. This is 'home' for him - so comfortable. Any special food requirements are always catered for too. The entertainment staff always come up with a variety of activities. There seems to be even more attention to detail now, with the new manager. As visitors, we are always made to feel welcome. I think this is a very special care home.
Thank you for your review. We here at Glebefields take the reviews very seriously and your feedback is very important to us.
All staff without exception; are excellent, very friendly and efficient.

We were immediately impressed with the level of care offered at Glebefields Care Home and by the culture, compassion and concern displayed by all of the staff team.
A very impressive operation that deserves huge praise.
She went into Glebefields Care Home on the 28th August 2019, until she died on the 2nd of November.
My mother has been treated with respect, kindness and care at the most difficult times.
Thank you for your review of the service we provide at Glebefields. We appreciate that moving into care is a stressful and worrying time so we are very pleased that we have been able to support your mother and the family during this time.
Old age can produce problems for all concerned. Glebefields has provided good care, professionalism and has eased the worry for the family.

Meet the Team (15)

Hi, my name is Benazir, and I am the General Manager here at Glebefields Care Home.
I started my professional journey as a Paediatric and Neonatal Nurse in India and worked across Middle East countries as a NICU nurse specialist before moving to England in 2019 and starting with Barchester in December 2020. I have extensive experience in clinical care, palliative care, practice development, nursing management and mentoring. My role as General Manager is to lead the clinical team of nurses, care practitioners and care assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care that exceeds regulatory standards. I believe strongly in collaborative care, working closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. My door is always open, and I welcome you to visit for a coffee and a discussion about our services.

Hello, my name is Jeni Abraham, and I joined the Barchester team in August 2025 as a Bank Nurse and was quickly promoted to my current clinical management role as Deputy Manager. I have felt incredibly supported since joining the organisation and our fantastic team.
With a rich nursing career that began in 2005, I am deeply passionate about my profession. I have an extensive clinical background that includes vital experience as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in fast-paced environments, such as the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Units abroad. I also spent six years working in various care home settings within the Banbury area, which provides me with invaluable local experience.
In my personal life outside my role at Glebefields, I cherish spending quality time with my family and relaxing and joy in painting.

I’m Dinesh, the Home Administrator at Glebefields. My journey with Barchester began in July 2022 when I joined as an Admin Assistant, and I was proud to step into the Administrator role in May 2025.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Business and Management, completed in 2019, and a Postgraduate Diploma in People Management, achieved in 2021. This academic foundation has equipped me with strong skills in leadership, organisational strategy, and team development skills that I use every day to support the smooth running of our home.
My passion for the care sector comes from a deep belief in compassion, dignity, and respect at every stage of life. I’ve always been drawn to roles where I can make a meaningful difference, and working in care allows me to contribute to the well-being of residents while supporting the dedicated teams who look after them. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a community where even the smallest action can brighten someone’s day.
As Home Administrator, I’m committed to creating a supportive, efficient, and welcoming environment. Ensuring that both residents and colleagues feel valued, empowered, and heard is at the heart of everything I do. Every day brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and make a positive impact—and I’m proud to be part of a sector that places humanity at its core.

Hi, I'm Nicola and have just recently joined Glebefields as the Admin Assistant, and I look forward to meeting and supporting all our residents, their families, healthcare professionals and suppliers who visit the home on a regular basis. I will be based at the main reception in our beautiful café. Please do pop in for a cup of coffee and cake and say hello.

Hi, I'm Simon. My role here at Glebefields is Head of Maintenance. I am extremely excited and proud to be supported and empowered to deliver a first-class service to all our residents, their families, visitors and our team.
Whilst part of my role is compliance and health and safety, I feel very passionate about supporting the life enrichment programme, to ensure everyone can build positive lasting memories. I take pride in everything I do within the maintenance department, ensuring that the home and gardens are safe, enjoyable and comfortable to be in.
During my spare time, I enjoy most sports, gardening and, of course, DIY! I'm proud to be part of the Glebefields team, where we all strive for excellence, for the benefit of everyone.

Hi, I’m Andrew, and I have recently joined the team at Glebefields as the gardener. Before transitioning into the care sector, I spent many years working as an electrical maintenance manager. In that role, solving problems and keeping things running smoothly was all part of my daily job.
I decided to move into care because I wanted to do something deeply meaningful. I wanted a role where I could make a real difference to people’s everyday lives. Being able to support our residents, work alongside a great team, and help create a safe, happy environment is incredibly rewarding to me.
Family is a massive part of my life. I have a son, twin daughters, and a grandson named Albie. Albie is completely convinced that his grandad can fix absolutely everything! I do my best to keep up that reputation, even if it sometimes requires a bit of duct tape and optimism.
When I am not at work, you will usually find me enjoying the golf course, watching football, or bird watching. I also love tackling various DIY projects around my own home. I always enjoy keeping busy, having a laugh, and I am always happy to lend a hand whether that means fixing something or just putting a smile on someone's face.

Hello, my name is Beena, and I'm one of the registered nurses working at Glebefields, providing continued quality care for our residents.
I joined Barchester in 2023, initially as bank staff, and was delighted to become a permanent Registered General Nurse (RGN) in May 2024. My passion is centred on building meaningful relationships with our residents and their families, ensuring every individual receives high-quality, person-centred care. I truly value Barchester's commitment to continuous training and its focus on fostering a supportive, safe working environment where great teamwork thrives.
My experience, which began in 2006 when I worked with elderly residents in the UK, has equipped me with the confidence to navigate challenging situations and reinforced my commitment to compassionate care.
When I am not working, I enjoy exploring and adventures through travel with my family and two children whenever we can.

Hello, I am the Head Chef here at Barchester Glebefields.
I gained my professional qualification over 25 years ago. I have enjoyed a varied career in the hospitality world, working alongside exceptional chefs across multiple cuisines, in 5* Hotels, classic restaurants and schools, etc.
It's a privilege to be part of the Glebefields family. I enjoy my work and am proud to provide a varied and nutritional experience for our residents, tailoring menus and cooking their favourite meals along with offering new culinary experiences to tempt their palettes.

Hello, my name is Fiona, and I share the role of resident ambassador with my friend and fellow resident, Joan. Having two resident ambassadors means all those living at Glebefields have a choice of who they would like to talk to.
On leaving school in East London at the age of 16, I started work in a local nursery school. Within 3 years, I’d qualified as a Nursery Nurse and spent the following 50 years within this wonderful profession.
Her love for children and their continued education shaped her life. Fiona is now an avid supporter of all the homes’ Intergenerational Activities and keeps herself young and updated on the latest trends with visits from her ten grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Hi, I am Siju, I have been part of the Glebefields family since 2020. I am experienced in care and have worked previously as a nurse in India. I am proud to play an important part in the health and safety of the home and our resident's lives. I enjoy helping in many areas of the home, you will find me caring for residents and also accompanying them on trips. Variety in my work motivates me to learn and experience more each day, I thoroughly enjoy my work and being a part of the wonderful Glebefields team.

My name is Cristina, and I am working as a senior care assistant at Glebefields Care Home. I'm coming from Romania, and my main qualification in my country is a master's degree in geography. I came to the UK in 2017, and I joined Barchester company in Chipping Norton. In 2019 I completed NVQ 2 and in 2021 I completed the NVQ3 Diploma in Adult Care.
In January 2022 I joined the Glebefields team, and since then, I enjoyed coming to work, in a positive environment. Using my knowledge and experience, besides my colleagues, we offer residents and visitors a great experience. I am happy when the residents are happy, and I feel good when I can make a difference in someone's day.

Hello, my name is Richard and I'm the Bank Second Chef here at Glebefields.
