I cannot recommend Churchfields enough and I would be more than happy if the time ever comes to stay there. I think that is the best endorsement I can give.

My mother-in-law spent her last two months at Churchfields with a terminal illness and was treated with respect and care. The staff were incredibly considerate in her last few days and hours; sitting with us and with her and being reassuring and straightforward throughout.
A special mention should go to the catering - the food was really very good, which made such a difference for someone for whom eating has sometimes become difficult.
We had many enjoyable visits to Churchfields over the last two months - often including afternoon tea and cake - visitors were always welcome.

The staff are all so lovely, the home is spotlessly clean. It's a real home from home.
The home is superb and I couldn't wish for better staff. The food is delicious and there was plenty of it. I was here temporarily to get well to go home. Excellent activities andI enjoyed getting involved going out and cooking.

The staff were all so friendly and caring. Churchfields became his second family and my uncle thoroughly enjoyed living at Churchfields. He was valued as a member of the community.
It was certainly a home from home and his family were very grateful for the happy time he spent there.
The new renovations/building work will enhance it further.

Since the home changed ownership in March 2016 there has been continuing improvements in both infrastructure and staff numbers and training. The new owner and management are extremely approachable and very ready to listen to any problems and importantly act on them. The staff are friendly and are striving to provide an excellent service. The home has moved from poor service to good in the 6 months under the new management and I believe that with the true ethos of care before profits this home will be outstanding within the next 12 months.

I originally started as a freelance painter & decorator but then came on board full time as the Maintenance Operative, where I work between Rosebank & Churchfields, spending a few days per week in each care home.
I started my working career many moons ago as an apprentice engineer, which was really interesting, especially working within the stunning university buildings in Oxford. After this, I used my new skills to work with the farming industries, helping to erect specialist farming buildings. I then moved on to own my own shop in Faringdon, selling antiques and collectables. I have also been in the painting & decorating business on and off since the 80’s.
I really enjoy the care industry, I will always make time to stop and have a chat to any residents about their day.

As Customer Liaison Manager, I support families in one of the most important decisions they’ll ever make, finding the right home for their loved ones. I guide and support each care enquiry with compassion and professionalism, ensuring every family feels heard, informed, and confident in their choices.
In addition to my work with families, I also oversee our marketing and advertising, helping to showcase the heart of our homes and the care we provide. I’m a people person at heart, and I’m proud to be part of a business that shares my core belief: life does not end with a dementia diagnosis. Our homes are places to continue living with dignity, joy, and purpose.
Dedicated and deeply passionate, I’m here to help, no question is ever too much.

Daisy is an 11-year-old community champion who has been visiting The Anchorage care home since she was a toddler. A few years ago, she created Through the Eyes of a Child, a heartfelt initiative designed to capture children’s honest reflections on their experiences of visiting the care home, helping staff and residents see the environment through a child’s perspective.
What began as a simple idea has grown into a meaningful programme that fosters intergenerational connections. Daisy encourages children from local schools to visit the home, building friendships with residents and taking part in activities, events, and outings. She has also developed feedback forms to ensure children’s voices are heard and valued.
Over the past year, Daisy’s compassion and dedication have been widely recognised. She has received a Champions of Care Special Recognition Award from Person Centred Software, the Community Cup from her school for her empathy and service, and the Saxon Weald Local Community Youth Winner Award for her outstanding contribution to the care home and wider community. She is also due to join the PDCCA Volunteer Friends Scheme in the New Year.
Now beginning to share Through the Eyes of a Child with other care homes across the group, Daisy continues to lead with kindness, empathy, and maturity beyond her years, proving that age is no barrier to making a meaningful difference.
