Collingwood Grange has been converted to offer a variety of individualised care options for both long-term and short-stay care in nursing, residential and dementia as well as palliative, convalescence and Parkinson's care.

Situated in the picturesque area of Camberley, built in the 1900s, the home benefits from being set within three acres of land, giving residents a great outdoor living space that they can enjoy with residents alike, friends and family. There are ample seating areas so that the natural surroundings can be taken in at leisure.

Collingwood has several living rooms and dining areas, as well as a number of dedicated quiet areas. Each decorated to a high standard and often providing some great homely features that give this home a really quaint and relaxed feeling. These rooms also offer the opportunity to have family and friends over for special occasions or any day that the resident wants. All bedrooms provide en-suite facilities and a 24-hour call system.

This home has a beautiful light and airy dining room where fresh and seasonal dishes are served, with any personal tastes or dietary requirements accounted for and recorded in the care plans. If residents prefer to eat within their rooms this is also respected and will be arranged with staff.

The staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests.

My mother-in-law was in Collingwood Grange for seven months. During that time the care and understanding she received was excellent. The staff were all very kind and friendly and they encouraged my mother-in-law to take part in activities that were organised daily and they encouraged her to use the
communal areas and to eat meals in the dining room. Everywhere was always very clean. She received end of life care that was I believe much better than she would have received in hospital, even playing classical music in her room in the mornings. The atmosphere was very calm and her care exemplary. I believe she was always treated with dignity. My husband and I will always be grateful to the wonderful staff. I would highly recommend Collingwood Grange.

The reception staff are excellent and generally the carers. In all the months my Mother has been residing here, there has not been any review of her care or if she is happy and has all that she requires. The food is very poor quality, lacks taste and imagination. No consideration has been given to whether
my Mother is getting any nutrients. She has lost so much weight and is now very frail. Her carers generally take good care of her but overall, management of her health is lacking.

I realised that I hadn't written a review, and I really valued the reviews when looking at different care homes.
Mum has been at Collingwood Grange for over 6 months now. We are so glad that we chose this care home as it's perfect for her. She has a beautiful large room which was arranged for her just
as she wanted it. In fact, the facilities/maintenance staff put up her painting on the wall within days of arriving at the spot she had asked for. Requests are acted on quickly. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are all fantastic, from the wonderful receptionists who greet you to the manager who is reassuring to all the lovely care staff who look after Mum and provide the activities. She loves it. Mum has found purpose and friends to share her daily routines with. Mum enjoys the activities and the interaction with staff and other residents. The food is good and well-presented, and the choices are excellent. What a fantastic place! My sister and I are really grateful.

Collingwood Grange is excellent! The rooms are large, light and airy and residents are encouraged to bring some of their own furniture to make it more personal and help with settling. The garden is beautifully maintained and used whenever the weather permits. The activities are varied, tailored around
national events wherever possible and include visiting entertainers on a regular basis.
But the best thing about Collingwood Grange is the staff. From the reception, housekeeping, activities, admin, maintenance, nurses and especially the carers, all were welcoming and interested, not only in the resident but the whole family as well. The staff are the heart of this home and we cannot thank them enough for the care Mum received.

My mother-in-law has been here for approximately seven weeks. It is excellent, rooms are clean and spacious, calm and lovely staff, ensuites are very good. Visited a few and this is the best. Staff are friendly and lovely.

Mum took quite a while to settle but with the help from some of the excellent staff, she is now joining in. The home is clean and staff are very welcoming. She is well cared for. The food is good but could be better, it is the one complaint Mum has, there needs to be more variety and can be a bit tasteless.

Whenever I visit this home, I am greatly greeted by the reception staff. All of the staff are welcoming too. There are plenty of activities that take place to keep everyone busy and entertained. The home is cleaned to a high standard. The rooms are big and spacious and feel very homely with the personalisation
in the rooms. Overall I am happy my friend has care here.

Always get a welcome when visiting. Choosing this home was made easy as their main topic was about my father and his needs and generally all about him. I came here in January 2021, I have settled in very well and I am very happy and content. I have nothing but praise and admiration for the carers, nurses, management and all the other staff of Collingwood Grange Care Home. They carry out their duties with good humour and dignity. Everyone is very approachable,
the home runs very smoothly with one great team effort. You are treated as an individual with care and respect. The activities team provide a good and varied programme in a difficult environment. There is a very happy atmosphere. The gardens are delightful and well looked after and it is a great place to sit and relax. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.
However, I do have a final point regarding the catering, it lacks flavour and the menu imagination. I also question the quality of the produce used. I am in discussion with the management on a regular basis on how to improve this situation.

Excellent care provided by a very efficient staff.
Unfortunately, the shared approach road to Collingwood Grange Care Home grounds, off the Portsmouth Road, is becoming very worn and needs yet another expense in resurfacing.

I attended the home's Jubilee party which was very enjoyable, lots of smiling faces, the garden was decorated nicely and the entertainment very good. My friend says all the staff look after her so well, nothing is too much trouble.

Staff very caring towards my father who has been a resident for fourteen years. They go the extra mile. The staff are very good at keeping me informed of any changes in my father's condition. They have ensured he gets the right care as his condition deteriorates.
