Collingwood Grange has been converted to offer a variety of individualised care options for both long-term and short-stay care in nursing, residential and dementia as well as palliative, convalescence and Parkinson's care.

Situated in the picturesque area of Camberley, built in the 1900s, the home benefits from being set within three acres of land, giving residents a great outdoor living space that they can enjoy with residents alike, friends and family. There are ample seating areas so that the natural surroundings can be taken in at leisure.

Collingwood has several living rooms and dining areas, as well as a number of dedicated quiet areas. Each decorated to a high standard and often providing some great homely features that give this home a really quaint and relaxed feeling. These rooms also offer the opportunity to have family and friends over for special occasions or any day that the resident wants. All bedrooms provide en-suite facilities and a 24-hour call system.

This home has a beautiful light and airy dining room where fresh and seasonal dishes are served, with any personal tastes or dietary requirements accounted for and recorded in the care plans. If residents prefer to eat within their rooms this is also respected and will be arranged with staff.

I moved into the home in April 2021. I find the carers good and extremely kind. I feel very well looked after and I am treated with dignity. I am very comfortable and happy living here. I enjoy the food very much. I am glad I chose this home when I made the decision to move to a care home.

My aunt speaks fondly of staff and says nothing is too much trouble.
Her room has a view of the garden which is looked after to a high standard throughout the year.
I receive a monthly newsletter and management keep us updated with any changes due to the pandemic or anything else that affects my
aunt which is very important as we do not live locally.

My mother has been a resident at Collingwood Grange Care Home since March 2020. This is the fourth care home she has lived in so I have good knowledge of several homes. Collingwood Grange has by far been the best home she has stayed in. The rooms are all of a very good size with ensuite facilities.
The communal areas, of which there are several, are all well furnished and welcoming. There are smaller spaces for more intimate visits and large dining and activity areas. The grounds are well maintained and interesting with lots to capture the attention of residents and relatives alike.
Above all, the staff are kind, caring and welcoming. During my visits to see my mother, members of staff regularly pop in to check she is ok, offer her drinks etc. The nurse is available to chat to regarding any possible health concerns. There is always a lovely welcome in reception with someone always available to speak to. Communication is very good, keeping me updated if I'm unable to visit.

I had time to visit twelve care homes in the process of selecting the one I believed would suit my mother the best. Collingwood Grange Care Home was our preferred choice and although admission was forced upon us earlier than expected, I was delighted that Collingwood actually had a vacancy just at the
right time. I considered us very lucky and two months on I still consider us very fortunate to have been able to get Mum into our first choice.
The staff are all very friendly and approachable; and I now go about my day far more relaxed, knowing that my mother is safe and well looked after.
The rooms are larger than more recently built care homes and the grounds are pleasant and tranquil.
My visits will be enjoyed more when we can dispense with the wearing of gloves, masks and aprons; but for the moment I am reassured by the precautions that the staff are taking during the pandemic.

I think the care home, Collingwood Grange is wonderful. You immediately feel part of a special family. My mother is well cared for and always looks clean, neat and tidy whatever time I visit. Staff go out of their way in terms of food, personal care and general well being. I feel happy every time I

I am a Relevant Persons' Representative for two residents at Collingwood Grange. From my experience, staff are always friendly and helpful. They have the necessary Covid protocols in place when I visit including lateral flow testing, temperature testing and PPE.

Dad moved to Collingwood Grange from the hospital in the middle of January this year after contracting Covid 19. This was a big move for Dad after such a significant illness and for me and my 2 sisters. From the very beginning, we had a positive experience with the staff at Collingwood Grange. Choosing
and finding a place for Dad was a very hard decision to make and they were so helpful; sending lots of pictures about what his room might look like, answering all our questions about the level of his care in a timely, caring and professional manner. Everything that they said they would do, they did with kindness understanding and in good time and ensured that we understood everything that was going on and was able to convey that with care and attention to Dad. When Dad first moved to Collingwood Grange from the hospital he had to isolate for 14 days and during that period of time he was not left alone; he had good company from the care team, they kept him entertained with jigsaws.

Very friendly atmosphere. Management always listens and act even when they are so busy. I have no relatives near and couldn't move for me. The grounds are lovely, a real joy. The staff have been wonderful during this pandemic. Keeping strictly to the rules.

During this very difficult time for care homes, with the Covid pandemic still proving problematic, Collingwood continues to be very supportive of our family and have facilitated contact with Mum throughout this last year via weekly supported zoom calls, promptly answered emails, assistance with practical
things like resolving a broken telephone, and prompt contact during times when Mum has been unwell. With many of the family living considerable distances away, this has been so helpful for all of us and for Mum.

My father was at Collingwood Grange for the last years of his life. As I live abroad, visiting in the last 12 months have been quite difficult, but the staff at Collingwood could not be more helpful. With regular video calls and e-mails updates, I was always fully informed as to how Dad was doing. When
I was able to visit the staff could not be more accommodating. My dad was well cared for and it helped me a great deal knowing he was safe from harm in these very difficult times.

I never thought that I would like being in a care home. Since I have been there I have changed my mind. There have been several little problems but they have been sorted out. Since the lockdown, we haven't had a hairdresser so consequently, my hair had been very long. Yesterday a very lovely young woman
cut and set my hair, it made me so happy.

The British United Provident Association (BUPA) was the care provider my husband and I chose when ten years ago we were forced through ill-health to sell our house. My husband received every care during the last five years of his life - that care continues now for me. I am delighted and very relieved
to see that there is extra staff on the floors by day and night. The stress is very dangerous. At this time of pandemic, their dedication is total.

My mother has been at Collingwood Grange Care Home for 1.5 years. There are a few excellent key staff but too many agency staff who don't seem to be able to offer the level of care. The 'COVID' visits are ridiculous with 2m separation, a glass screen in between and face masks - my mother, like a lot
of other residents, struggles to hear! This is bad for her mental health. Breakfast is often late and the staff don't seem to be able to spend any time with her.

Collingwood Grange is the perfect home for my mother's stay. It is comfortable, welcoming and Mum is very comfortable in her room. The staff are excellent. They are caring and always contact me if even the smallest problem occurs with regard to Mum's health. The management team are approachable and
most helpful. Food is very good.

This has been a difficult and worrying time when we have kept in touch with Mum by zoom. My sisters, brother, and I are grateful to Collingwood staff for facilitating this. Mum has remained well and content throughout the pandemic and this is a tribute to the care and hard work of the staff. We have
seen her become more isolated and withdrawn without regular visits from the family, which is sad but unavoidable in the circumstances.
