My mother was very violent and abusive to staff and relatives alike. The staff were very supportive and put up with so much from her. She even trashed her room, broke furniture, wrote on walls and many other things. The staff got the mental health team involved and now she is on the correct medication,
she has calmed down and is now happy to be at Priory Court. She also has a nurse companion with her all day which she really enjoys. So thank you so much to the manager and all the other staff for persevering with her and managing her at a time when we were at our wit's end, not knowing what was going to happen.

Right from the start when we viewed the home, the staff have been excellent. Answering all our questions and concerns, never rushing or saying they are too busy. The home itself is beautiful, rooms, dining areas, cinema, outside space - they can't do enough for us and are very supportive.

The team at Priory Court do a fantastic job. Mum is being very well looked after and the care workers and nurses do their best under difficult circumstances. Looking after the elderly is not easy. I appreciate all the hard work the team do for mum in making her as comfortable as possible. The team are
a credit to the home " well done".

When a parent is admitted to a nursing care home, it is a difficult time for all. My experience at Priory Court is nothing short of complete satisfaction in the level of care provided. The staff do an amazing job, and we couldn't be happier knowing that our mother is receiving the best possible care.

My father was admitted to nursing dementia following a heart attack in May 2019. The staff have been professional and kind, always smiling and welcoming. My father died after a sudden decline. His body was lovingly laid out and it was obvious that the staff act with genuine respect. They have supported
me at all stages. It has been a pleasure to have observed a great home in operation.

A quality level of care for my mother that exceeds my expectations. An initial introductory meeting convinced me that Priory Court was the right choice. Every member of staff demonstrates appropriate values. Well done team! A purpose-built building, light and airy in design, situated in decent grounds
close to public transport.

My mum has been at Priory Court for nearly 5 months. Her health had declined at the family home and my dad was struggling to cope. We moved her to the dementia wing at Priory Court. The management and staff and the support team are great. Priory Court "cares" and I would recommend the care home without
hesitation. There is a nice calm feeling at the home and I feel so lucky we found Priory Court.

Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful most of the time.
The atmosphere of Priory Court is caring and welcoming.
A comment; the font used for staff names on the badges is too small to be read by those who use reading glasses.
The family have been very impressed with a particular Registered
Nurse - she is very competent and caring.
I have not got to know the other RNs in the same way.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.815)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.815) out of 10 for Priory Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 34 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 33 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.815 for Priory Court is calculated as follows: ( (345 Excellents x 5) + (46 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (6 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 401 Ratings = 4.815
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Priory Court is based on 33 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 89 registered maximum number of service users is 17.8, which has been reached with 33 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
