Queen Elizabeth Park provides residential, nursing and dementia care with love and kindness, treating residents as the individuals that they are.

Following personalised care plans designed to meet the individual needs of each resident, the team strives to provide the reassurance that your loved one is being cared for by a team you can trust and rely on. They work hard to involve friends and family in everyday life at the home too.

The home organises a calendar of meaningful activities to suit all tastes and abilities, to support residents’ overall health and wellbeing; from themed parties to choir practice, to djembe drumming and art tutorials, as well as welcoming visits from local musicians, performers, artists and schoolchildren. Residents also enjoy regular days out on the minibus to local places of interest, and cultivate connections with local mum and toddler playgroups, charity partners, and cultural institutions.

Set over three-floors, the friendly, yet peaceful home is surrounded by tranquil landscaped gardens, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac. It features bright and airy lounges, comfortable dining rooms, a bustling bistro, in addition to a library, salon and cinema.

Queen Elizabeth Park has received Highly Commended at the South East Great British Care Awards 2025 in the Care Home Team award category and at the Surrey Care Awards 2024 for Team of the Year. They are proudly part of the UK's Top 20 Mid-Sized Care Home Group 2025 by carehome.co.uk, as rated by residents and their loved ones.

My mother is so happy here. She feels very at home, due to the love and care given by every member of the Queen Elizabeth Park team. She loves the cafe area, the elegant dining room and the numerous trips organised. She has dementia and has really become sociable since moving in. The activities organised
are around the clock and extremely stimulating. She literally gets a knock on the door and is reminded about everything that is going on. My mother is happy, hence I am!

The care home was recommended to us for our aunt whilst she was in hospital. This has turned out to be an excellent choice for us all. Superb care and service by the manager and all of her team, along with great food and many activities to keep things interesting. Highly recommended for anyone looking
for great care and service.

Both my parents stayed in the care home for a month, for respite. My father has dementia and both my parents have several other diseases. They were recovering from flu when they went in, so they were both quite weak and had lost weight. A month later they were both much stronger and both had put on
some weight. My dad enjoyed The 3 course lunches! The home had to call a doctor several times for them and they were seen quickly, if they had been at home it would have been difficult to get a doctor to them in that time span. It was such a relief to know they were cared for so well. My mother enjoyed the activities and my dad liked a visit from some real owls. My mum said every carer and every single member of staff was kind and caring and they always had time for a chat. I also enjoyed visiting them, the cakes are amazing! I would not hesitate to use this care home again and if their full time carer doesn't work out I would be happy for them to move in permanently.

Queen Elizabeth Care Home is a wonderful place for my mother to be. Mum suffers from Alzheimer’s and recently her condition deteriorated, though fortunately only temporarily. The staff handled this very well, with sensitivity and compassion, and helped us daughters to deal with the new situation. They
also sought medical advice in a timely way. My sisters and I are extremely satisfied with our mother’s care.

My mother is currently a temporary resident with a view to her hopefully going back home in the near future.
Although she is well looked after and is very happy with the care that she is given, there is no rehabilitation element to her care. There has been no encouragement for her to care for herself.
This has effectively made her more dependent on others.
The meals are also far too early. The library and communal seating area where you can make tea and coffee are very nice.
The wide selection of activities to take part in are excellent.
Reply from Heather De-Ninis, Home Manager at Queen Elizabeth Park Private Care HomeThank you for your review. As discussed, we always aim to make the dining experience something to enjoy and did provide the option for your mother to have her main meal at suppertime, rather than lunchtime, which was politely declined. All food is freshly made by our kitchen team for everyone in our care. Be assured, throughout the day, residents can also enjoy a selection of snacks and drinks.

It's important to us that our residents are supported to remain as independent as possible, for as long as possible. Your mother is able to wash and dress herself and has been supported to do so throughout her respite stay. She also walks independently with a stick, which has been encouraged.

Please do get in touch with us directly if you have any further questions or concerns so we are able to address them as a matter of urgency.

At Queen Elizabeth Park the staff at the home are wonderful and Mum is well looked after by people who actually care. Any problems and the team leaders and management are only too willing to listen and do anything in their power to sort out issues. They all deserve the full five stars, the reason I
haven't given it is nothing to with them but the Carebase head office who don't back up their staff by ensuring larger issues are dealt with. For example, the main lift being out of order for three months. Another, the telephone system on the second floor not reaching all the rooms. A shame Carebase is not as efficient and diligent as their on-the-ground employees.
Reply from Heather De-Ninis, Home Manager at Queen Elizabeth Park Private Care HomeThank you for your feedback. I know you have had regular communication with us regarding the lift and telephone system. Please be assured that every effort was made by our team to resolve these as quickly as possible.

To clarify, our main lift was placed out of action on 13th December following a routine inspection. We were notified that a new part was required, however this had a long lead time (as it was manufactured in Spain) Second opinions were sought in a bid to find the part quicker. Delays were exacerbated by the Christmas holiday period. The lift was fully operational again on 15th February 2023. Throughout, residents were supported to use our second lift which services all floors.

Regarding the telephone system, we have since put in boosters to extend the phone signal. Later, we also purchased a mobile, to facilitate 3x weekly calls between you and your mother.

Please accept our apologies once again for the inconvenience. Do contact us if you have any further questions.

Having looked for a suitable care home for my mother-in-law for a number of weeks, my wife and I were becoming a little despondent with what seemed available within our preferred geographic area; there was always something of concern. However, as soon as we entered Queen Elizabeth Park a huge weight
was immediately lifted from our shoulders. From the initial viewing, to our meeting with the Care Home manager, the atmosphere within the home and the feeling of professionalism and care conveyed by all staff was immediately apparent and hugely reassuring. There is a cheerful vibe throughout the building and residents all seem very much "at home".

All the staff at Queen Elizabeth Care Home are very accommodating as far as my mum's care is concerned. She has been a permanent resident for a year and appears to be very comfortable. Should you require any contact with management or any of the other day-to-day care workers, they are always accessible
to discuss our mum's wellbeing. If looking for a residential care home for a loved one, we recommend Queen Elizabeth Park, highly.

Queen Elizabeth Park is an excellent care home. My mum was admitted to the home in May. It was a very stressful time for us, but everyone at Queen Elizabeth Park, made the process so much easier. The care they have provided to Mum has been second to none and we are delighted with how she has settled
in.

The home is always fresh and clean. The carers are always very welcoming, helpful and professional. When I visit, there always seems to be an activity on whether it be listening to music, or a quiz, which is enjoyed by all. Although I obviously haven't tasted breakfast, lunch or dinner myself, what
I have seen, looks reasonably appetising, but I haven't asked. I would like to see what medication my Mum is on, so I will ask next time I visit. My mother seems to be very happy at Queen Elizabeth Park.

My mum has dementia. She came to Queen Elizabeth Park, at Christmas last year, following a month in hospital. She was very confused and unhappy to have lost her independence. It has taken a while, but my mum is now settled and happy. The staff have been very patient with Mum and with me, as it has been
emotional at times. There are little things which mean a lot, making sure Mum looks neat and tidy when we take her out, by this I mean, her carers make sure she is in a nice matching outfit. She has a coat, so doesn't get cold and thick socks. This is more than just doing their job. This is caring and this I really appreciate.

Mum has settled in really well. The staff are brilliant and the activities programme is really good. They go on trips out as well now which is fantastic. Mum joins in with everything and is so much less lonely than she was in her own home. She has her hair done every week which is great. I don't have
to worry about her anymore as I know she is being so well cared for, I can just enjoy going to visit her or taking her out somewhere.

Cannot fault the Home for the quality of care given to its residents. Personally, I would like to see relatives given the opportunity to be more involved. This may be an unfair comment as Covid restrictions have been applied throughout the year.

Mum has gradually become settled and now takes part in many of the activities. The staff are caring, she loves the food, I think perhaps she is again going to have to increase the size of her clothes! Although she never wanted to leave her own home she can now see so many different people every day
and she is able to have a bath regularly, which she couldn't do in her own home. She is very happy the only regret she has is that she is unable to see her school age great-grandchildren, which is not the fault of Queen Elizabeth Park Private Care Home.

As a family, we could not have asked for better care for my Dad than in Queen Elizabeth Park. It was such a relief to know he was safe, comfortable and never alone. Every person was so kind and treated us with care, respect and patience - so important to us at that upsetting time. They were quick to
respond to our requests and answer our questions. Dad had Alzheimer's and other medical conditions but always seemed calm and contented. He was watched over closely and as his condition deteriorated he was looked in on every 15 minutes. The team prepared us for his passing explaining what we needed to arrange, so when the day came, they took care of everything and all we needed to do was come and say goodbye. I am personally so grateful for this; it made an emotional time so much 'easier'. Even a few months after Dad's passing, when I spoke to one of the managers, she demonstrated a genuine interest in how we were all managing. It was not just my father that got excellent care. Thank you Queen Elizabeth Park.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.722)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.722) out of 10 for Queen Elizabeth Park Private Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 31 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 31 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.722 for Queen Elizabeth Park Private Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (282 Excellents x 5) + (73 Goods x 4) + (15 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 370 Ratings = 4.722
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Queen Elizabeth Park Private Care Home is based on 31 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 77 registered maximum number of service users is 15.4, which has been reached with 31 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
