My 91-year-old Father has settled wonderfully after coming for a 2-week respite break 6 months ago. The staff are incredibly caring and go out of their way to be helpful. There is a lovely atmosphere with plenty of fun activities to keep residents busy and happy. The care support provided is excellent with a weekly session from a local GP to attend to health problems quickly. Since coming to Virginia Water Care Home my Dad's health has improved and he is enjoying things so much more. I can sleep at night knowing he is well looked after.
Thank you for taking the time to write a care home review for Virginia Water Avery our staff truly appreciate your kind words and we are lucky to have your father at our home. Thank you again.
I was referred to Virginia Water Care Home about 8 weeks ago. Since arriving I have been looked after extremely well in a courteous manner at all times. All food and facilities have been exceptional.
Thank you for the lovely review and for taking the care to recommend our home - it is truly appreciated and we will pass your kind words along to the staff.
The whole day feels relaxed and the activities well organised. The staff are always at hand and take care of everyone there making their stay special. They are kind and caring with all the residents and seem to go above and beyond what is expected.
I would recommend Virginia Water Care Home to anyone I know. Mum enjoys going and can't wait for her next stay.

My mother moved to Virginia Water Care Home - Avery Collection nearly a year ago. The staff have always been helpful and kind, and although my mother took time to settle, the staff never gave up, she is now integrated into the social life here and joins in all the varied activities.
Thank you so much for your review we appreciate your feedback immensely and will pass it along to the team. We are happy that your mother has settled into her new home at Virginia Water and the family are happy with her decision too. Thank you once again.
The care staff who directly look after my wife are very very good whilst doing a very difficult job.

Excellent experience. Warm, welcoming, nothing too much. Very accommodating, which I appreciate. Overall, a wonderful experience.

He had a beautiful, airy room and spent three months there.
I cannot praise the staff enough. The care and kindness he received were exemplary; they provided 24-hour care and went above and beyond to make him comfortable and happy.
My sincere thanks to all the staff at Avery - an amazing care home.
It was our pleasure to care for your brother, although it was only for a short time. Our only wish would have been that he had been well enough to have participated in the activities and outings offered in our home. You will always be part of our Avery family at Virginia Water.
It was a daunting experience placing my mother in a care home, and my sister and I looked at many homes which were nice, but Avery Virginia Water absolutely excelled. The moment we walked through the door we knew this was the right care home for my mother. My mother is very happy, which is the best testament.
We are so pleased that you felt our care home was the right place chosen for your mother. Thank you for the lovely review, which we will pass along to the team, and thank you for taking the time to submit a review for our home. It is a pleasure to have your mother in our home.
Visited for the first time today to see my parents-in-law. I was immediately impressed by the welcoming entrance and the bright and airy environment. My parents-in-law obviously are very happy and well cared for. The staff were all very welcoming.
We hope you visit again soon.
My parents have lived in Virginia Water Care Home for three and a half years and are very happy. Good food, fun activities and excellent care and lovely staff. We as a family are delighted that they are so well looked after. An excellent home.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review Virginia Water - we are delighted that your parents are part of our home, as is your family. We are a whole home.
It is heartwarming to see how lovely all the staff are towards my mother. With her dementia, she may not always recognise people and is often confused but the staff treat her with kindness and respect and I feel content in the knowledge that she is well cared for in this lovely community. Most importantly my mother is happy.
Thank you for your lovely review and we will make sure to pass this along to the team.
Our parents moved into Virginia Water Care Home ten months ago. It was a difficult transition for them as they have always been very independent and self-sufficient, never depending on anyone much in sixty-seven years of marriage. The staff at the home worked wonders getting them integrated into the life of the place, even persuading them to participate in activities. It's been such a relief for us to watch them settle in with so much support. It's also wonderful that the staff can make sure they consult the doctor and the nurses when they need to. They are giving them great support and my brother and I are grateful.
Thank you for your lovely review - we really appreciate your feedback. We are happy to have your parents living in our home and contributing to the community.
Mum came to Signature for respite in January, and she was so well looked after. As a family, we were already discussing Mum's future care needs, and Mum decided she wanted to return to Signature permanently. Asa family, we were very happy with her decision. She moved here in March and is now settled and very happy to call this home. All the staff are amazing, and she is fully cared for. Her room, food and activities are great.
Thank you for the lovely review - we are so pleased that your mother settled and decided to stay with us as her permanent home.
My mother-in-law has been receiving respite since January 2023 and has been extremely well cared for at Signature at Virginia Water. She was resistant to go to a care home but is very happy there. The staff are excellent and go above and beyond it their level of care, and the facilities and catering are outstanding. My mother-in-law will be returning for further respite later in the year.
Thank you very much for taking the time to submit a review. We look forward to seeing your mother-in-law in the near future. Your feedback is very much appreciated.
After a three-week emergency stay in the Cardiology Ward of the local hospital, it was not possible for me to return to my flat (3rd floor, no lift). I already had experience with the Signature group, and a friend contacted Signature at Virginia Water on my behalf. The team quickly visited me in the hospital, and all arrangements were made to suit my needs. I arrived only with the clothes I had in the hospital, but my room was quite excellent, and my friends were able to bring what I needed from home. The staff here were very welcoming and made me feel at home. Everything was done to make me feel comfortable, despite the worry of an unexpected heart condition.
We are so glad to hear about your positive experience with Signature at Virginia Water and thankful for your kind comments. We work together as a team to provide the best experiences for our residents and family members. Our carers and nurses strive to achieve a sociable and comfortable community...
The team acted quickly on her request, and I was able to move in the following day after an assessment with them at the hospital.
On arrival, everything was organized on my behalf; my family and even my pet dog Betsy visited.
The one collective noun I can use is pampered during my stay.
It was a pleasure to meet residents I already knew from the community and catch up on all the news and views.
I will look forward to visiting them again.
We have said that if the time came when both or either of us could no longer manage, we would, without a doubt, come to the 6-star Signature at Virginia Water.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of Signature at Virginia Water. Your feedback is important to us, as is the care and well-being of all of our residents; we're glad to hear your time here was positive and cared for.
Only been here one month, and I am very happy and would recommend Signature to anyone.
Thank you so much for the lovely review. We are glad that you are happy.
I have been here for nearly a year. All the staff, carers, catering/waiting on tables are excellent. They deserve a pay rise. We need a gym for residents to use to improve muscle strength, and also a large bus for trips/ We need more activities to keep the brain active.
We are so glad to hear about your positive experience at Virginia Water and thankful for your kind comments. We work together as a team to provide the best experiences for our residents and encourage our residents to explore new activities. We are so glad to hear the activities provided are one of...

Meet the Team (5)

I started with Avery Healthcare in 2023. I have worked in the Health & Social Care sector since I was sixteen. I love to see people live in a care home, having their life fulfilled, making memories, and living life to the fullest! Working in our residents' home is a great honour, and I still love my work and what each day brings.

I have had the privilege of working at our home since 2010. I am truly passionate about ensuring our residents have the best quality care giving their families peace of mind.
The importance of my role is to ensure that all the care and clinical aspects are met beyond expectation and that both the resident and family are supported to their fullest.
We have a dedicated and knowledgeable team who work together consistently empowering residents to maximise their ability to preserve independence with safeguarding in mind for all individuals. We are a caring family home for our residents.

Hi, my name is Samantha Wells and I am the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator at Virginia Water. I have been working here since August 2015.
I truly enjoy my job, getting to know all Residents individually and listening to their life stories. This is a chance to explore their past and gain an insight into their lives and some memorable and meaningful moments. At Virginia Water, we have a lovely activities team and we run the Live with Purpose Programme. This covers a variety of Activities enriching the mind, body and soul. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing our residents smiling, laughing and having a good time.

I started my career at the iconic Waldorf Hotel in London which inspired my passion for hospitality.
Unsocial hours and the birth of my daughter made me rethink my career and hence the transition to care home catering for the past 15 years. I have never looked back. I really enjoy catering for all our residents’ dietary requirements. It’s a very rewarding job and a privilege to cook for them in their home. A birthday celebration never goes by without a personalised cake. My team also support special events in the home.

With over 20 years of experience in hotel management I was in search of a new challenge. In joining the team at Virginia Water care home in February 2024 in this business administration role I felt I could encompass my knowledge and experience and challenge myself to adapt it into the care sector. I felt very privileged to be offered the position and am already loving getting to know the residents and working with the team here in a very friendly and welcoming environment. Whether it be billing queries from the residents or work related queries from the team members I am here to assist and I get great satisfaction from helping others. Nothing is too much trouble to ensure our residents happiness and their family’s peace of mind.
