The Chaseley Trust

It was a difficult decision finding a residential home for our 47-year-old daughter after many years of her living in her own bungalow with a personal care team. She has now been at The Chaseley Trust for a month now and she is so happy there. The level of care and nursing is brilliant but that's not all, the atmosphere is one of real love and that's the most important thing. Our daughter is always busy doing activities and being with staff and residents. All the staff have worked hard to assist her settle in. Not just the care staff and nurses but the administration too have been marvellous in helping us and our daughter to embark on the next phase of her life. We are both relieved and delighted that we made the decision to send her to The Chaseley Trust and feel confident that she has a long and satisfying life ahead of her.

Their communication with and reception of families and other visitors is really excellent.

We moved our mother to The Chaseley Trust so we could be nearer to her as we know our time with her is limited. We also wanted her to be somewhere lively so she could have more interaction. Mum has been at Chaseley since the end of September and the difference is really noticeable. Firstly, she receives a really really high standard of care and the care team are dedicated, supportive and very nurturing with her. Secondly, to watch the activities team weave their magic with the residents is truly inspiring - they are amazing. It is very humbling to watch them in action. We, as a family feel our mum is in the best place to finish out her last years. Thank you all.

As usual, all visits to my son were subject to usual government guidelines to ensure a safe environment for carers and residents. All staff we encountered were helpful and fully aware of both our and our son's needs. I never cease to be overwhelmingly in awe of the dedication and professionalism of the staff we meet. My wife, daughter and I are always eternally grateful for the standard of care that my son receives. It certainly helps us to cope with his situation to know he is amongst friends.

Chaseley's management and staff demonstrate everything one wants from a care home. They are kind, hardworking, thoughtful and very knowledgeable about the needs of the residents who are highly disabled. Residents are safe there and cared for. Every effort is made to provide the residents with interesting things to do and as much entertainment as possible. Covid has put a strain on all care homes but Chaseley has been outstanding in managing an extremely difficult situation.

What can I say, My friend went into Chaseley with no confidence, low self-worth and esteem and just not coping with life. This month she has gone home after her rehab, a new woman. Thank you to the management and staff team at Chaseley for their kindness, their care and for being simply incredible. Thank you for giving back lives, when it matters the most.

Seeing all the preparation they have been doing for Christmas, by the pictures they have posted on their website and by hearing about what upcoming activities they have, from visiting my friend and seeing how happy my friend is, makes me feel so happy that they are residing at Chaseley. Throughout the pandemic, all staff have been doing their hardest and still making time to make things special for their residents, even though we are not allowed into the actual building, they ensure we can still visit is the visiting room. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at Chaseley and they are always on hand, should any help or advice be required. The new CEO is always smiling and from what we see on the website, interacts extremely well with the residents, even having a sing along with them! My advice to anyone looking for a home for a loved one is to make sure you look at Chaseley.

Before my friend reached 'The Chaseley Trust', she was in a very distressed state. It was heart-wrenching to see someone I cared for, and someone who loved and cared for so many others during her too short a life, having to endure so much discomfort. Thankfully, with the help of the palliative care team from the hospice, she was placed under the care of the dedicated team of nurses and support staff at The Chaseley. Very quickly, her frustration dissipated, her pain was managed, the simple alternative treatments she longed for were willingly given, and for the first time, in a very long time, my friend rested calmly. Thank you, Chaseley.

My friend is currently a resident at Chaseley, and whilst we haven't been able to visit them inside the building for nearly a year, we were able to do some garden visits in the summer (in between lockdowns), and we regularly catch up on Facetime.

The team at Chaseley have done an amazing job looking after the residents throughout the whole Covid pandemic and have done their best to keep everyone safe and happy. They are always friendly and willing to assist with any visits or Facetimes when needed. The activities team have been brilliant at ensuring everyone is kept busy and entertained, we know they had singers in the garden over the summer, and they even organised Christmas Zoom bingo for residents and their families.

The care team are also amazing, and probably don't get the recognition they deserve, but when we can visit once more, my family will be sure to tell them.

We are all grateful for the care, the support and the fun that Chaseley give our friend.

One of my friends has been at The Chaseley Trust for nearly 4-years, and she has really progressed since living there. My twin and I used to visit when we were able to, but due to Covid, all visits were stopped. However, the activities team help us to speak to our friend via video call, it's really easy to organise, and they have always been able to accommodate the times we ask for.

My friend loves to do art and is really lucky that The Chaseley Trust have an art room that she can use most days. There are a lot of activities put on for the residents and a real mixture of choices, which is good as the other residents all vary in age. My friend really enjoys living at The Chaseley Trust, but her ultimate goal is to have her own flat and with the support of her carers and the physio team she is working towards that goal, fingers crossed 2021 will be her year.

I have a friend who is staying at the home, and I personally feel that since she has been there; they have done a great job in supporting her needs and development. Not only helping her become more independent but always having her best interests in mind. They have great facilities available with a good physio department. I, and my family, also love joining in with the cooking classes and other activities that are available when we visit our friend, and she loves being able to do normal stuff with us.

My friend is a resident here. I think the work the staff do with the residents is the highest standard. All staff are happy friendly and bubbly. They interact with the family and friends of the residents too and keep everybody involved. It’s a very welcoming atmosphere, and there is always seems something fun going on whether that be cooking or painting etc. They also provide summer fairs, which are always great fun with live music entertainment, which again, everybody is welcomed too. The standard of this home is exceptional; it really is wonderful.

Lovely friendly home, I feel at ease when visiting my sister and that her needs are being met. Staff very accommodating.

I could not wish for a better place for my mother in law to be in, extremely satisfied with the whole home, standard of care and staff.

I find the home very clean and staff very friendly. If I had to choose a care home for one of my family I would definitely recommend Chaseley.

We visited for the first time to see our friend and were so surprised at how, friendly, clean and helpful the staff and rooms were. We would definitely recommend the home to anyone.

The care home is a really nice, friendly place for new residents to be introduced in to. The staff are always polite and welcoming to new and old residents, or family. They look after my Nan really well and she’s always left in good condition. The staff help her out and the family's as well. The care home is a brilliant place and a good, enjoyable place to be.

I volunteer weekly and have seen ups and downs in staff morale. Generally, there has been an obvious air of tension. I am glad that lately, things have improved significantly.

It's all right in here. Everything is fine, OK.

This place has all we need.
