The Chaseley Trust recently rated exceptional by the CQC certainly lives up to its rating. I am short term resident here for the second time. I live in Plymouth and the journey is worth it. The staff, accommodation, food and activities are superb. My stay here has been extended four weeks to three months. I recommend coming here.
I wholly enjoy living here and enjoy the social scene. The staff are brilliant.
I enjoy watching DVDs and listening to CDs and all this is available to me. I like going out so taxis are booked. I can go into town or an art gallery etc assisted by a volunteer or member of staff. The staff are excellent and the home suits my needs as a person with cerebral palsy.
My experience at Chaseley Trust has been a great one, staff are friendly and positive. I am treated nicely and my beliefs are respected. The activities here are great and exciting.
My first visit and I have already booked another week in April. My room had a sea view but no en-suite facilities. Carers, nurses and all other staff very capable and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and plenty of choices. Dining room overlooked the sea and just like a restaurant, not an institution. Lots of activities - quizzes, games, puzzles, pottery, painting and more. Something to do all the time. I did not experience pet pals but would like to but some residents had a dog or birds in their rooms. Thoroughly enjoyable week for me and a respite for my husband.
We are very pleased to see that this short stay had such a positive outcome for both you and your husband and we look forward to seeing you again in the near future for another stay.
I think the management need to change for it to be better. The staff in Activate Gym are very good and they helped me put on weight after I lost it at the hospital. Physio department is also good and helped me a lot. Ground floor staff are also good.
We are sorry to hear this resident's views about the management in the home, however pleased to see that they have then marked other areas as excellent within the home which we feel may be an indication that perhaps this relates their scoring to isolated decisions that have had to be made that...
Very enjoyable, staff very qualified, I have my confidence back!
