The nursing home was very helpful when searching for respite care for my elderly mother. The process was very smooth and professional. The nursing care provided was very good during her stay. The whole home was spotlessly clean and fresh. Her room was a good size, views of the outside and had all she required.

My Mum came to Heatherdene for palliative care from hospital. From when I visited to view the room and home all the staff were friendly and the home had a lovely warm homely feel to it. I knew straight away that this was the place for my Mum.
Every member of staff were kind, caring, compassionate and treated her with dignity for her last chapter of life.
Nothing was ever to much. She was comfortable, pain free and cared for by the most beautiful people.

I cannot thank all the staff enough for making my Mums final days so very peaceful.

Heatherdene Nursing Home where very good to my aunt and really took the time to provide her with the best care possible. She had been in and out of hospital/other care homes with no long term stability, Heatherdene gave that to her.

The staff were always knowledgeable and caring and provided stability for my aunt and piece of mind for her family and friends.

Heatherdene Nursing Home. Is home from home. On arrival, my mother-in-law settled in very quickly. The staff very professional, kind and caring. Heatherdene is a well-managed home. I found the communication excellent when visiting my mother-in-law, updating me how she was/had been. Which I found very reassuring. Heatherdene is a very clean home and my mother-in-law enjoyed the food very much. The staff always welcoming on visits along with a nice cup of tea and slice of homemade cake. I would highly recommend Heatherdene.

My mum is enjoying life at Heatherdene. There is often something going on - food tasting, quizzes, puzzles, singing, competitive games, which residents can take part in if they wish. Mum is clean and putting some weight on. The building is always clean, and there are no unpleasant smells.
Staff are always welcoming and helpful. Keeping us up to date with mum's care.

I like the monthly care where residents' rooms are deep cleaned and stats taken on residents' health.

Mum has been cared for (with real care) since December. She had been in hospital unable to communicate or swallow, a week earlier and had made some progress. We thought she'd make more but not as much as Heatherdene (and she) have managed. They listened to our views and referred to speech and language therapy on Xmas eve so as to be hopeful but safe. She's now eating more normally. They recognised low mood and medication has helped her 'come back' to us. Not everyone will make this progress with end stage Parkinsons, but regardless all staff are very friendly & observant and have good relationships with her. I am wary of 'glowing' reviews but we know the care is great, as mum has mentioned that only once in 2 months has she waited for a table to be pushed closer or waited to be helped downstairs. This is remarkable when so many people have been at the end of their lives. Beena, Tina and Sarah have all been exceptional.

Lounge redecoration will soon be finished -star for facilities

From the time dad arrived at Heatherdene he was treated with kindness and respect by all members of staff. Everything was explained fully to dad by the nursing staff and they made sure he understood.

Visiting family members were also looked after very well.

A very professionally run care home with exceptional caring staff who treated my father as though he was their family member. My father has sadly passed away but throughout his last few days the staff gave me and our family constant up dates to his well being. On the final day of my fathers life we were called and taken to his room where the lighting was dimmed and classical music was playing softly in the back ground. Upon his passing the two members of staff were just as upset as us having looked after Dad for several years. The next morning when we returned to clear his room each member of staff that spoke to us gave their condolences which really touched us. At Heatherdene the staff are very caring and do treat your family member as family. You are always met with a warm cheery smile when ever you enter and more importantly you always see the same staff members day in and day out which is good because you can build up a good relationship between Carer, Cared For and Family

My sister in law was admitted for end of life care and spent her last two weeks in Heatherdene. She was treated with care, compassion and dignity, which made her passing so much easier for the rest of the family to cope with.

From the minute I walked into the building I felt comfortable. Being a healthcare professional for many years I have experience in what to look for. We quickly agreed that this was the place for my Dad. Happily his assessment and acceptance was managed in a timely manner and he was transferred from hospital in days.
I am happy with the care he is receiving and have seen an improvement in his condition, despite being on palliative care.

The staff all seem pleasant and welcoming and I am always able to enquire if needed. I would certainly recommend this home to friends.

I cannot emphasise strongly enough how kind and generous the care for my loved one was in Heatherdene Nursing Home. At all times, he was treated with dignity and compassion and staff chatted to him about his interests and life outside Heatherdene. When the end came as we knew it would, his care was excemplary and your wonderful staff were sensitive, kind and professional as always.

My husband was cared for at Heatherdene for almost 3 years. I visited daily but on the rare occasions when I couldn't be with him knowing he was in their care gave so much peace of mind. Their kindness and support, to me also, was so very much appreciated.

I am so relieved to have found Heatherdene for my mother. From my very very visit, Heatherdene has always been a welcoming and friendly place. The staff are clearly very caring and know all the residents extremely well. My mother is receiving outstanding care there and has improved significantly since arriving 18 months ago. She enjoys being brought into the lounge every day and the stimulation she receives through both staff and resident interactions plus the daily activities has really added to her quality of life. I would highly recommend Heatherdene to anyone looking for a supportive and caring home.

Mum was in Heatherdene for 7 years until she recently passed away. The love, care and respect she was given by all staff in this time was second to none. My utmost thanks go to all concerned, especially in the last days of her life when they cared for me as much as for Mum.
