My mother was in Heatherdene in 2019 so was no question of doubt that mother in law would receive excellent care in the best nursing home in Bexhill-On-Sea. The staff are considerate, caring and fantastic at all times. Nothing is too much trouble and there was no other place we would of chosen for her end of life care. We cant thank Heatherdene enough.
Thank you for you lovely review. We were glad to be able to care for your mother and your mother in law.
To all the staff at Heatherdene - keep up the good work, it is appreciated!
Thank you for your review, we were glad to be able care for you mum and keep her comfortable.
My family and I are very satisfied with the care my husband received. I visited him every day, could spend as much time as I wished with him and he seemed content. It is a good community with a range of activities each week which help to keep the residents minds alert, with quizzes, general knowledge, physical exercise, which visitors could join in. They always made an effort to get my husband up and into the day room and dining room. The food was excellent. When he died I was treated with care and compassion.
Thank you for your lovely review. We were glad to be able to care for your husband and welcome you on your visits.
A friend of mine was admitted to Heatherdene last year. She was in very poor health and unable to swallow solid food. Since then the outstanding care and attention she has received have transformed her life. She now eats well, takes part in daily activities and every time I visit tells me how happy and comfortable she is at Heatherdene. This home is clearly well managed with professional, friendly, caring, staff. I am very confident about the care my friend receives.
Thank you for your lovely review, it is a pleasure to care for your friend and to welcome you when you visit.
We could not have hoped for a better place for my Mum to be. We are truly grateful to the staff and the Management there.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is a privilege to care for your mum and a pleasure to see you on your visits.
Staff are pleasant, visiting my brother 3 times weekly. If I need care, this will be my first choice. This is the best home I have been to, his care needs are excellent, always clean and this is how a place for care should be.
Thank you for such a lovely review. It is a pleasure to care for your brother and welcome you when you visit.
My late mother was a resident at Heatherdene Nursing Home for ten months. The level of care she was given was outstanding. Heatherdene is an immaculate home with caring staff. There is a daily well thought out entertainment plan and the meals served are of the highest quality. I am grateful and comforted by the fact that my mother spent her final months at Heatherdene Nursing Home and cannot sing its praises enough.
Thank you for such a lovely review. It was a pleasure to know and care for your mum.
My husband's aunt moved into Heatherdene about 3 months ago. We reside in Ireland and we recently travelled over to visit her. We were so happy to see how well she looked. The care she has received is exemplary. The care home is spotlessly clean and the staff are kind, welcoming and so professional. We cannot speak highly enough of them all. My husband's aunt is in good hands and we look forward to many more visits to see her.
Thank you for such a lovely review, it was lovely to meet you all. It is a pleasure to look after you aunt and I am glad you are happy with her care.
The staff were fantastic, very caring and considerate. They could not have done more for my husband while he was in there. He was kept comfortable and very clean while he was there. They showed great compassion at all times.
Thank you, Jean, for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to look after your husband and to get to know you.
Wasn't the easiest person to help after the bleed on the brain. But with their care and kindness, she settled down.
Thank you for your kind review, we were all very fond of you mum.
Staff are all wonderful, friendly and caring - cannot be faulted.
Thank you for your kind review. We will discuss your comments with our activities co-ordinators.
It would be lovely if there were a greater variety of activities to keep the residents occupied.
Thank you for your lovely review. We discussed new activities at our resident meeting yesterday and will be exploring the suggestions put forward.
In every way, the home has been exemplary. The staff were always professional, welcoming with a warm smile and willing to have a quick chat if required, they looked after us almost as much as they looked after Mum. We were always informed of any changes in Mum's condition or management.
My mum's room was always fresh, clean and tidy, as was my mum with her hair always clean and brushed, nails varnished.
I could tell that Mum had been involved in many of the activities in the home - even bed-bound as she was. She was even given a small computer tablet to hear the bingo numbers when they played!
I can not praise Heatherdene enough for everything they did for my mum.
Thank you so much for the lovely review. It was a privilege to care for your mum.
I would not hesitate to recommend Heatherdene Nursing Home.
Thank you for such a great review. It was a pleasure to look after your partner.
From the first visit and meeting the team we loved Heatherdene. Having viewed many homes in the area and needing to find a place for both my mum and dad with very different needs, Heatherdene was the obvious choice. The home itself is welcoming, warm, clean and cosy (walking in feels homely and safe), the staff are experienced, qualified, and so helpful and friendly. My parents' rooms are lovely, the food options are great, there are daily activities and everyone goes the extra mile. Communication with the whole team is accessible and easy and after many sleepless nights whilst my mum was in temporary respite care in a different home, I now feel relaxed and confident that my parents are being well looked after and are safe and cared for with all the relevant nursing and personal care in place and visiting is a pleasure. I highly recommend Heatherdene and thanks again to all the team!
Thank you very much for such a lovely review. It is a pleasure to care for your parents.
I cannot fault Heatherdene Nursing Home in any way.

Food fantastic... for any needs required.
I highly recommend Heatherdene Nursing Home.

The manager and all the lovely caring staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble for them, always keeping regular updates and never too busy to talk, excellent care and facilities treated with utmost respect and dignity.
Thank you for such a lovely review. It was a pleasure to care for your sister-in-law and always lovely to see you both on your visits.
I would happily recommend Heatherdene Nursing Home as the staff are friendly, caring and considerate. The food is varied and they can accommodate personal preferences. Communication between the staff and family has been great and we have always felt welcomed. Excellent service all round. Thank you.

I've been in the care sector for over 25 years, initially qualifying as a Cardiac Theatre Nurse in 1994. I joined the Southcare Group in 2002, progressing from a Registered Nurse (RGN) to the Registered Manager of Heatherdene Nursing Home in 2014. I always put the needs of others before my own and strive to make sure residents, staff and their families are all happy. I am passionate about my home, Heatherdene, and leading the way in inter-generational partnerships to improve the lives of our residents and everyone involved.
