My brother-in-law was a resident at a nearby home but was given notice to leave in September as the home was closing in December 2018. We investigated 6 or 7 homes but chose Cherry Hinton Care Home - this was the best choice we made and he moved in in October and he is very happy here. Long live Cherry Hinton Care Home and its management and staff. Thank you.

On visiting my grandmother, she is always complimentary about the care home she lives in. The staff are always helpful and nothing is too much trouble to assist with.

The management are extremely good and always help staff members on the floor if they require help. The head of activities and her team are brilliant always helping their people to have fun and organise fantastic activity sessions. Well done.

With one month of experience here in the care home, I can say that the place is not bad. There are always some improvement needed. The staff needs more training, they are very enthusiastic about their work, just in need of some minor knowledge about hygiene but they are very caring. Management are very very good. They are very attentive to the needs of residents and their families.

All the staff have been excellent, lead very well. Kind, attentive and very patient with an element of humour at appropriate times. Their patience is extraordinary. Mum has been sorry that her appetite hasn't done the food justice! Garden is an important facility in my view.

Not cheap but we take the view it's good value if mum has been as happy and comfortable as possible in the circumstances.

We have been extremely pleased and grateful to the management and staff of Cherry Hinton in the care and attention shown to my mother. The family are grateful for the team accepting my mother, even though for a short time. Special thanks to the unit manager who took a lot of time and attention to my mother, even visiting her in hospital.

Our mother has been resident for two months to receive end of life care. The level of support and experience demonstrated has been first class - not only to the patient but also the family, who are not local. The standard of catering and range of activities available is noteworthy. The home feels like a large family home - and they really care about their roles.

Thank you very much for your guidance through a difficult time.

I was extremely happy with everything and everyone here.
My mum was happy to be here and all staff made her extremely welcome.

A huge thank you to one particular member of staff for making a hard experience from me very much easier as it was the first time I had respite in 6 years looking after my mum who suffers with Alzheimer's.

An excellent care home. An attractive building with 2 floors. My experience applying only to the ground floor. The rooms are large and en-suite (a very important factor when choosing this home). The cleaning and general upkeep is first class. Food is very good. Most important of all the carers are kind, hard-working, bright and happy and well trained and the nursing staff very efficient and caring. The new top management seems to be excellent.

My sisters and I took mum to the home on 1st November 2017. We were made to feel very welcome. It was her birthday that day and they made her a birthday cake which we thought was very kind. The staff were all very pleasant and willing to do anything we asked of them. The entertainment was good. Also, the menus were good and varied.

As a family, we are very grateful for the way our mother was treated, especially in her final weeks.
