My independent, 90-year-old mother was not at all keen to go into a nursing home but her mobility deteriorated and there was really no other option. I was surprised and relived how quickly she settled in. Staff are all lovely and kind, unhurried and professional. Food is very good with plenty of choice, and a lot of thought has gone into a varied programme of activities. She has especially enjoyed the exercise classes and a piano concert. Rooms are nicely furnished and everywhere is kept very clean. There is a lovely garden which is easy to access in a wheelchair. She is happy and well looked after which makes all the difference to me.

Very caring reception staff and carers, informative of any activities going on. Helped with my husband's hygiene and monitor his eating and drinking as he practically stopped for a while. My husband was more at ease.

From the moment my father entered Cherry Hinton Care Home he was greeted with such a warm welcome I knew I had made the right decision and within just a few days, I could see an instant transformation in my father after struggling for too long at home and resisting for far too long going into care.
Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done to accommodate him bringing bits from his old home into his new one.

The kindness and professionalism shown not just to my father but to myself had made what can be a daunting experience so very easy.

My mother's well being is of great importance to all the staff at the home. She is treated with consideration by everyone and has enjoyed getting to know the teams; however she has found the isolation from her family during lockdown hard. I have appreciated the special efforts made by the staff at the home to relieve her sadness.

The vibe I get is very good and I'm very pleased with all the carers that are looking after my dad. It is very good for myself and my dad to see each other all this time and I hope it will continue under the current circumstances. I've been informed that my dad is receiving various activities like individual exercise, music activities etc. and I'm very grateful for carers and management for providing this.

Our father has been a resident for 1 year on 21st June 2020. The Staff carry out their work with the utmost love, compassion, dedication and commitment and never lose the well-being of their residents out of their sight. They take their time (even when it's sometimes short) to answer questions, offer advice/suggestions, reassure, help or assist. They always have a smile on their faces and an open ear for concerns. The Home and its staff go above and beyond, they give their utmost, sometimes under demanding circumstances i.e. refurbishment, Covid-19, in an effort to make sure that our loved ones are safe, happy and contented. Thank you for this. The residents' physical and mental well-being is a priority. Food quality is "par-excellence". It is cooked fresh and of high nutritional value. Social activities/pastimes enlighten the residents' days. Your loved-one/friend and you will be met with love, compassion, support and beautiful surroundings.....what more could one wish for?

To say that my mother was very well looked after in Cherry Hinton Care Home is an understatement. All the staff went beyond expected standards. They were both professional and friendly. My mother built up strong friendships with many of them and they with her. My siblings and I were always made most welcome every time we visited. We looked at many homes before choosing Cherry Hinton Care Home for our mother. My five siblings and I never doubted that we'd made the right choice.

My mother was a resident at Cherry Hinton Nursing Home from December until February when she sadly passed away. Mum was very frail and deteriorating from the time she arrived from hospital but was very happy at Cherry Hinton and the care she received was fantastic. Mum was always treated with warmth and respect by all the staff and her needs were attended to with care and efficiency. The staff were also most welcoming to all the family who visited and always acted upon any suggestions we had to enhance Mum's experience.
