My father and I attended a company cafe today at Orchard House. It was extremely helpful. I got lots of information about local groups in the area. It gave my elderly father a chance to meet people from the community. After lots of chatting, tea and cake I came away with lots of ideas for Dad. All the
staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They have a good understanding of the bereavement my father is experiencing after losing Mum who was a resident for several years and are continuing to support us as a family. I can not praise the staff at this home enough. They are truly part of our lives now and will continue to be so. The care they gave my mum was second to none. A wonderful place for your loved one to be. Thank you. You are all angels.

Care of my mum has been excellent, staff friendly and kind. Mum has only been in Orchard House a few months, but all staff have gone out of their way to make it feel like home and encouraged her to join in social activities. Mum led a very independent life before breaking hip, and we worried that she
would struggle to settle, but this has not been the case. We, her family, are sure this is down to the care and consideration of all staff.

I can not say a bad word about Orchard House Care Home. I am a relative to a resident who has been at the home for over a year. The care they provide is exceptional and very clean, and the staff are amazing. Our nan is very happy here, and we wouldn’t want her to be anywhere else. There’s always something
on for the residents and their families, and everyone is included.

Can't praise the staff enough - such a welcoming home. The staff are always friendly and approachable. They keep us informed about Mum and quickly sort out any issues. When I last visited Mum, she was very agitated. The staff helped to calm her down and also comforted me.
The staff go above and beyond with all of the residents.
Mum has been in Orchard House for nearly 18 months, and in that time, we have never had any concerns regarding Mum.
Mum is treated with
love and dignity, and the home honestly feels like family.

My dad went to Orchard House in December 2022. He has received fantastic care from all the staff looking after him. I am very happy with the care staff at Orchard House. The team are friendly and supportive toward both my mum and my family. The activities team always works very hard to offer entertainment inside and outside of the home.
The lift needs repairing - its constant breakdowns make it difficult to take
Mum out or to activities.

Absolutely blown away by the entrance hall display.
Decorated pumpkin shapes and specially collected bottles with spooky contents and seasonal labels were all completed by residents.
As always, the activities and displays/environment reflect the diverse and stimulating creativity of the hardworking,
imaginative staff.

Mum recently celebrated her 98th birthday. We planned a small celebration but were surprised, when we asked, just how many of her friends wanted to come and join in. The manager and the staff were excellent and helpful in providing a party at short notice, with a nice tea and a birthday cake laid on.
It helped make a special day for Mum and I would like to express our appreciation to all who helped out.

My mum came in for palliative care on a Friday, and from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel at home. Nothing was any trouble. The staff were so thoughtful, respectful and caring.
Myself and my brother spent as much time with my mum as we could, and it was so nice to be able to relax and feel
comfortable during such an emotional time. We were given space just to "be", but knew if we needed anything, staff were there to help us as well as Mum.

We attended the December pantomime, which was well organized. The staff and residents all had fun; it was very entertaining.
We had a lovely Christmas raffle with some lovely gifts.
We all enjoyed a buffet.
The staff always speak to me and make me feel like one of the family.

I have worked within the care industry for over 20 years. I joined RCH Care Homes in 2011 as a care assistant and this is where my journey began. I worked through various different positions to progress through to where I am now as General manager. This was many years of training and studying in which RCH supported me throughout my career changes.
