My family member has been staying at St Clements for two years, and in that time, the management of the home has changed several times to now a very happy, safe and well-run home. The renovations could be a problem, but the staff are working hard to control this to not upset or inconvenience residents or their needs and the homely feel. Overall, I have always found my relative very clean, healthy and well cared for in a home providing good, varied food in a clean, well decorated and friendly surrounding with plenty of activities, lots of respect and smiles.

Reply from St Manager, Home Manager at St Clements Nursing Home

Thank you so much for your response. The renovations are well underway, and we are trying to ensure this does not disrupt the home too much. We are so looking forward to the new look of St Clements Nursing Home. All of the staffing team appreciate your kind words. Thank you.

I have visited the home on a couple of occasions and have always been greeted by happy staff. My relative says that the staff are really lovely and caring, and the nurses are amazing. I am happy my relative is in this home. It's all about the staff making this a happy environment to live in.

Not using names of the excellent team looking after my mother, all the staff have been welcoming, friendly, efficient and caring. Whilst building works are extensively taking place, the home appears clean and comfortable. Queries are quickly answered, and Mum's needs are attended to. I can always get in touch and am never made to feel a nuisance. During a worrying time for Mum, St Clements has been so very supportive, pleasant, reassuring and kind.

My mum has been a resident for two months and has received excellent care from day one. All the staff are extremely kind and show a genuine and empathetic interest in my mum's wellbeing. The manager and administration staff are very efficient and always respond quickly to any queries we may have. It's been a huge help to myself and my sister knowing that Mum is being so well cared for.

I have been unable to visit the home during the Covid period, but have been able to have Whatsapp video calls with my friend who has recently joined the home. I am able to see photos of my friend shared on the Facebook site for St Clements, and I am really happy with how she is looking. When I call the home, the staff are always happy and polite. I am looking forward to when I can see my friend in person.

I always found the staff to be helpful and caring towards my friend and myself.
The cleanliness of the room could be an issue as she would sometimes throw anything and everything causing the problem. I felt staff shortage and insufficient time was the reason it could not be cleared up immediately. I sometimes found myself washing her table and cleaning very old food from it. When her room was decorated, the painter obviously just stopped at the mattress level (top end of the bed). Below there, the wall was stained, dirty and obviously not painted.
The food that I saw was always presented well and looked appetising. I obviously saw her very little in her final year, but when I did, she was always clean and well-groomed. Not an easy task as she was often not compliant.

I never felt I was too much trouble when I rang, and always felt she was cared for. That offers great peace of mind. Thank you all.

Overall good. Nursing is very good. Food is very good. Needs extra carers to give more time for care. Changes in managers are very upsetting. My husband has been here over two years and many managers.

My experience of St Clements Nursing Home has been fantastic. Since my dad arrived for end of life care, all the staff have been welcoming, informative, productive and caring towards my dad and us as a family. Previously, my dad was at another nursing home but since coming to St Clements, I finally feel people are caring for him and his needs are being met.

I would recommend St Clements to anyone.

Since my mother came to St Clements, 4 weeks ago, all we have seen is kindness from all the staff and management. My mother has always been a very independent lady with strong opinions but we feel this could not have been handled better. She is happy, safe, clean and comfortable and always treated with the utmost respect and dignity (and with humour). At this stage in mum's life, we could ask for no more.

My father was admitted to St. Clements Nursing Home after leaving the hospital. What a great choice. As soon as we entered the home, everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Dad is happy there. It is a very clean home and I would highly recommend it.

My mother was a resident of St Clements Nursing Home for over two years, following a stroke and was looked after superbly. Being confined to bed for most of the time, she never suffered from bed sores during her stay and was always kept comfortable and clean, as she was incapable of doing anything herself. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the way the home was managed, the level of care was excellent and the friendliness and warmth of the staff really did make it feel like a home and not an institution. Particularly, how the staff welcomed and looked after my dad when he visited every day. Sadly, my mum passed away at the end of October this year and the end of life care she received was first class and delivered with dignity. I cannot thank the staff enough, fantastic.

My dad was only at St Clements for a short time for end of life care. From my first phone conversation with the manager, to my dad's final moments we were treated with kindness, compassion and respect. This was hugely important at such a sad time - a huge thank you to all the staff.

The home is very welcoming, open, friendly with genuine care for the residents by the staff and management. From the warm and friendly welcome I first received from the Manager, when I arrived to see my mother at St Clements Nursing Home, to the exceptionally attentive and thoughtful carers that I encountered over the following 5 weeks, I have been very impressed and touched. Nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble and the time spent with Mummy, both at mealtimes and in looking after her personal needs were never skimped. I had absolute faith in the care she was receiving, all the time she was there.

Tracey WatsonJob Title:Hospitality Manager

My passion for hospitality started when I was very young, wanting to be "just like my dad". I studied Hospitality Management for my degree, and since then have had the pleasure of working in some fabulous hotels in the Lake District and the Cotswolds, before returning to Norfolk to raise my family. St Clements has such a warm and welcoming family feel to it, and having always pursued roles where I feel that I can make a difference, my hotel experience gives me the basis to be able to help drive the hospitality areas here to even higher levels. Family time is important to me, and in my free time, you will often find me on the sidelines watching my teenage sons competing at rugby and football.

I have a background in admin but went on to run my own business. When I started a family I decided to go back to admin to be able to have a better work - life balance. I love being a part of the team at St Clements. The residents and families are all lovely and make it an enjoyable place to be and no day is the same. In my personal time I love to spend days with my family and exploring Norfolk's wonderful coastline.

I worked in healthcare catering for 15 years before I joined St Clement's Nursing home. I am keen interest in caring, catering and serving people with different likes in food. I want to make food look good and tasty also want to help make special diets more attractive and introduce culinary medicine. I enjoy working with all the team members in St Clement's and their excellent service to all the residents.

I like sports, especially football and cricket. I was a football and cricket player previously, and managed 7 a 7-a-side football team for 10 years.
