Excellent care provider in 'every' respect she was cared for with dignity and respect. The family kept up to date on a very regular basis. She was always clean never any urine odour. Lovely environment, welcoming, caring staff - nothing too much trouble. Consideration is given to diet with foods purchased.

I can't thank all the nurses, carers and staff enough for the care, devotion and dedication they showed my beloved mum during her last few months at Ford Place until she passed away peacefully with me by her side on the 27th of March 2023. I was able to stay with Mum day and night during her final week
and I will forever appreciate how well I was looked after too. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I know my beautiful mum was in the best possible place and I take enormous comfort in knowing how much she was loved by all those who looked after her. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

My brother came to Ford Place for end-of-life care. The office staff were all helpful and kind. All the nursing staff were very caring and always willing to help and encourage and give him as much independence as he was capable of. The activities team were always encouraging and supportive. Although
my brother's stay was a short one he was comfortable and content. A big thank you to everyone.

My step mum has had a couple of periods of respite care at Ford Place and then moved in full time over the summer. The care has been exceptional, both for her, and the support shown to all her family. My step mum is happy, and comfortable, and is encouraged to do as much as she is able. Her room is
warm and homely, and the environment is absolutely beautiful. Having previously worked as a carer, to say I was picky about where we placed her is an understatement- and from the moment I contacted Ford Place I knew that this was indeed a special place. The staff are so friendly and warm, there are lots of activities and places to relax, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Thank you, Ford Place.

The management, nurses and staff all obviously really care that the person they are caring for is looked after as if they are a member of their own family. Unfortunately, I was unable to look after my wife any longer, as she has complex medical issues. After a deep discussion with my daughter and her
immediate family, we decided it would be beneficial for her to go into a top-quality nursing home, fortunately, we picked Ford Place. The care is fantastic and the staff are very friendly. The accommodation is better than you expect and the grounds are lovely. Thanks to Ford Place.

I have many sweet and wonderful memories of Ford Place Nursing Home! This home is beautifully located along the river and the rooms were spacious and lovely. My mum received the most outstanding care from all the staff. We were so well looked after as a whole family, made to feel welcome and able to
visit any time we wanted. I loved the affection shown, the respectful tenderness of all the staff and their interest in Mum as they came to interact with her no matter what time of day or night. Mum was always asked about her preferences and they were catered for as much as possible. Mum was honoured from the time she arrived until she was escorted out of the front door with such love and respect from the carers. The end-of-life care at this home is outstanding, it was like the carers held each of our hands - Mum and us as a family as we walked out her last days. Our gratitude from us as a family cannot ever be fully conveyed, thank you to all at Ford Place Nursing Home!

My mum's last few weeks of life were treasured times for our family because of the wonderful staff and carers at Ford Place - who truly looked after her with such compassion, tenderness, and love - we knew she was in good and trusted hands. Not only did they care for our mum, but that same care and
compassion was extended to our international tribe that came in and out of those doors every day for 2 months. Mum's room was lovely and bright - she loved to wake up early each morning and enjoy her hot cup of tea as the sun rose and she could hear all the birds outside her window. We could not have asked for a more lovely place for us to walk this hard road alongside our mum. Thank you to all the staff for going the extra mile each day - our family will be forever grateful.

Thank you to everyone at Ford Place for taking such good, professional care of my mother during her six month stay. She was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy and thoroughly enjoyed absorbing herself in the variety of daily activities available and trips out. She made lots of new friends and
told me often how kind and helpful everyone was towards her and how hard they worked to make her feel at home. I can't thank the manager, staff and nurses enough for everything they did to make her final months as happy, comfortable and fun for her as possible. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ford Place to anyone carefully choosing the best place for a loved one in need of excellent professional care.

My mother stayed at Ford Place for eight months and during that time she was cared for with kindness and respect. The home is very well led by the Management Team and the staff work tirelessly to ensure all the residents are well cared for. We decided after much soul searching to move my mother to be

My father was moved to this Nursing Home with Dementia. The home was very clean and tidy in a lovely location. Excellent Manager and staff/ They cared for my Dad during end of life.
It is an amazing place and I cannot thank them enough. Highly recommended.

I cannot praise Ford Place highly enough. They gave outstanding care to me, my sister-in-law and end of life care. She was only with them for a short period, but she was cared for so well and had everything she needed. Ford Place is a happy, clean and well run nursing home with marvellous staff. We

Mum was transferred to Ford Place after a challenging time in hospital. She was cared for with kindness, respect and dignity over the last few weeks of her life. The team looking after Mum were amazing and very supportive and made the last few days of Mums life comfortable and safe; thank you.

During her stay at Ford Place, my sister was looked after in a caring and respectful way. She seemed calm and content, and I am so glad that during her final days of life, she was in such beautiful surroundings with people who cared.

My mum spent the last twelve months at Ford Place Nursing Home but even with the restrictions of Covid-19 the home were absolutely amazing. Lovely and caring staff with excellent leadership from the front office. Mum was always saying how great the food was. Thank you for making my Mum’s last year a
very comfortable one, sadly Mum passed away in May 2021.

Over the four years that my uncle was in Ford Place, the staff etc were excellent with everything, they helped me feel like one of the family. Everything about Ford Place is very good. Can not praise them enough.

Passionate about complex care and supporting both older people and younger adults, Leah is dedicated to ensuring care is respectful, empowering and tailored to each individual. She believes strong relationships sit at the heart of a successful home and is committed to creating an environment where residents feel valued, families feel reassured, and staff feel supported to thrive.

Jenna Bowley

Job Title: Deputy Home Manager Joined: 2003

Jenna has spent her entire career at Ford Place, beginning as a carer and progressing to senior carer before training as a Care Home Assistant Practitioner. She went on to complete her Nursing Associate apprenticeship and has since achieved her full nursing degree, reflecting her commitment to professional development and high standards of care.


Jenna is passionate about delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care, building strong relationships with residents, families and colleagues. She particularly enjoys contributing to positive improvements within the home and being part of a supportive team dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for residents. Outside of work, she enjoys walking her dogs and spending time with family and friends.

Kira

Kira Steggall

Job Title: Home Administrator Joined: 2024

Kira joined the home in 2024 after working as a Nurse Administration Manager on the cancer wards at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, where she developed a strong appreciation for the importance of compassion, teamwork and clear communication in health and social care.


She brings a warm, friendly and organised approach to her role, helping to create a supportive atmosphere for residents, families and colleagues. Kira particularly enjoys being part of a team that genuinely cares and building meaningful connections with those around her.


Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and going on long walks with her golden retriever, George.
