My mother received excellent care during her time in Ford Place. She enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and when able, loved to join in the activities. It was like staying in a hotel with benefits is what she used to say. All the staff deserve recognition for all their hard work, their compassion and their patience. Thank you all.
We can't thank you enough for taking the time to leave us such a warm and positive review. It was an absolute pleasure to care for your mother and she will be very missed. Best wishes to you and your family.
During her stay at Ford Place, my sister was looked after in a caring and respectful way. She seemed calm and content, and I am so glad that during her final days of life, she was in such beautiful surroundings with people who cared.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Everyone at Ford Place is very grateful for your comments.
My mum spent the last twelve months at Ford Place Nursing Home but even with the restrictions of Covid-19 the home were absolutely amazing. Lovely and caring staff with excellent leadership from the front office. Mum was always saying how great the food was. Thank you for making my Mum’s last year a very comfortable one, sadly Mum passed away in May 2021.

Over the four years that my uncle was in Ford Place, the staff etc were excellent with everything, they helped me feel like one of the family. Everything about Ford Place is very good. Can not praise them enough.

My mum went into this home a year ago when she was end of life. The staff could not have made her more comfortable they really are amazing, the care was second to none and I will never be able to thank them enough for everything they did for us and especially my mum, mum passed away May 2021 but at least we know the last year of her life in hard times she was cared for by these amazing staff.

My mother has just spent the last 12 months of her life in Ford Place Nursing Home sadly this week she passed away. During this time she was looked after by loving carers who quite obviously have a passion for the job they are doing my mum was in safe hands which as a relative is extremely comforting. The management team at the home are top-notch nothing is too much trouble for them always having the time to talk to us about mum's progress. I would also like to thank all the other staff who work at the home. Thank You All.
Thank you so much for leaving us such a positive review. It was an absolute pleasure to care for your mother and support such a wonderful family. Staff really value and appreciate your comments. Best wishes.
The care home looked after my dad with dignity; they answered our questions without fail. The staff were very helpful. I phone up every day to ask how Dad is, always said how he has bee throughout the day, could not fault.
Thank you for your comments, the staff appreciate your kind words. We are pleased to have been able to care for your father and support you as a family.
My partner went into Ford Place from hospital for rehabilitation following poor care that had left her unable to walk or sit. She was caught up in lockdown and there for a year. In January she had a stroke which she didn't recover from. The day of the stroke she was walking with the aid of the home, chatting and in good form - all thanks to the care she has received. She was deaf and blind so it wasn't easy. The end-of-life care was amazing, I was left appropriately alone with her when she died but with carers at hand. If there ever were issues, they were listened and dealt with. I will be forever grateful for the care and love she received in a very difficult year.
Thank you so very much for your kind words, we will all miss her so much. She was an absolute pleasure to care for and will remember her with the fondest of memories.
My stepdad lived at Ford Place for nearly two and a half years, before he sadly passed away this month. He loved Ford Place. The staff are just wonderful and so professional. A big thanks to the staff who were exceptional in looking after him.
Thank you so much for your very kind words. Your Stepdad was a joy to care for and will sadly be missed by both staff and residents. We wish you and your family all the best for the future.
My Aunt spent her final weeks at Ford Place, the staff were amazing and made her so comfortable. Also at the worst time were a comfort to all the family. We were kept informed of any changes and staff were always helpful when we called. Can’t recommend them enough.
Thank you so much for your positive feedback. The staff appreciate your kind words and wish you and your family all the best for the future.
I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Ford Place. My Mum was only with you for eight days before she sadly passed away, but the care that you gave her was wonderful. I could not have asked for anything better for her. She was kept warm, clean and comfortable and the staff took the time to spend talking to her, even though she could not leave her bed and at times was not very coherent. She was treated with kindness, care and dignity from the moment she arrived to the moment she passed and was passed over to the care of the funeral directors. I was kept well informed of how she was and nothing was too much trouble whenever I rang with a question. On each of my visits, I was made welcome and was treated with friendliness and respect. Thank you once again for all that you did for my Mum and for making her final days as comfortable as you did.
Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to give us such a warm and positive review. It was a pleasure to care for your mum and support your family during these difficult times.
The staff treated my husband with the utmost respect and dignity and did all that they could to ensure his comfort and well being.
Thank you for taking the time to give us such a positive review, we really appreciate your comments.
Thank you to everybody for their help.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It was a pleasure to care for your wife, and support you as a family during these difficult times.
Very positive care home service for my father. Visits managed in both a professional and personal manner in the current COVID environment. Always ready to arrange a video, so my father did not feel too remote.
Thanks for your kind review, we really appreciate your lovely comments.
Ford Place has hardworking, caring staff and the management team are friendly. There is quality entertainment regularly and daily activities available for residents. Tea, coffee and cake are available for visitors meeting their families and a welcoming area in which to meet. It is helpful that a hairdresser, chiropodist and manicurist visit regularly.
Ford Place has a warm and friendly atmosphere. All the staff are very approachable and helpful. My mother, who went in for respite care, found her room bright and comfortable. The choice and quality of meals was good. The facilities at the home were very good, with a very pleasant dining room, several large communal rooms and craft rooms, with a selection of activities for the residents during the week. My mother commented that some residents, including herself, would have liked to be involved in more group activities in the morning as time dragged until lunchtime. She was also concerned that sometimes staff took a while to answer residents calls for assistance but agreed that the was normally very helpful and caring. In summary, if I needed care in the future, I would be very happy to stay in Ford Place.
I found this home to be an extremely caring and professional home. The care they gave my late husband and indeed me and my family too was second to none. From the manager to the kitchen staff, they all showed such compassion and respect to us all. They clearly all enjoy their caring capacity and I thoroughly recommend this home.
My mum moved into Ford Place in March 2018 and spent 18 months in the loving care of the wonderful staff there. I was a frequent visitor and was always so impressed by the love and attention bestowed on my mum. All of the staff seemed to know her so well and worked so hard to ensure she felt safe, well cared for and cherished. The hard work and kindness of the staff was even further exemplified during the last few weeks of my mum’s life when I visited with my brother and sister and stayed two nights by my mum’s bedside. The staff not only looked after my mum with exceptional care but also looked after us, providing meals, hot chocolate drinks and spent time answering all of our many questions. The staff allowed my mum to die with such dignity and in the full knowledge that she was loved and cherished. No family could ask for more!
Thank you so much for your very kind words, which the whole team will be thrilled to read. We are pleased that we could be there for you all and your mum.
We could stay with Mum for as long as we wanted. Her room was comfortable and although she could not appreciate the beautiful gardens and public areas, we felt comforted by the lovely setting.
Her final days were made easier by being here and her sad death was handled with compassion and respect.
Thank you for your kind words, which mean a great deal to our staff.
All of the home is spotless. The staff are very clean, smart and most of all caring.
Thank you for your kind words. Your support means a lot to the entire Ford Place team!
