It was my mum's decision to go into a care home after her last stay in hospital, I was not really in agreement with this, but my indecision was soon dispelled, on visiting I could see the care they offered was exceptional, the warmth and kindness was plain to see.
The home is family run and you can feel everyone is treated like a family member.
The staff are very attentive and any concerns are soon dealt with.

My mum is 99 and however long she has left I no she is happy and in safe hands.

My mum, Sandra, was a resident at this care home from the 17th of November until the 23rd of January, when she sadly passed away from liver cancer. Throughout her time there, the care and support she received were outstanding, and our family is incredibly grateful. Every single member of staff was amazing and genuinely couldn't do enough for mum or for us as a family. They showed constant kindness, compassion, and professionalism, which made an incredibly difficult time a little more bearable.
Vidia was especially welcoming and supportive, keeping in regular contact with both my dad and me throughout my mum's stay. Knowing we were always kept informed and supported meant so much to us.

When the dreaded day came, the staff handled everything with such care and sensitivity. They made sure mum was comfortable and peaceful, and they also checked in on my dad and me as we sat with her during her final moments. That level of compassion will never be forgotten.

Overall Experience
Having had a massive stroke, and being in hospital for over three months it was clear that my brother needed a nursing home that could attend to all his needs.
I was invited to visit Gresham, along with my wife and his daughter before we made the decision that this could be where he would be cared for.
From the start of our visit till the end was exceptional ,we were shown everywhere in the home,we were very impressed with the management and staff whom were all very welcoming.
Nothing was too much trouble, all our questions were answered and everything was explained really clearly.
My brother has been in residence since September, his care is brilliant, I cannot thank Gresham enough for looking after him the way they do.

I would thoroughly recommend Grisham to anyone looking for a placement..

My Mother was placed into the Gresham Care Home after a short stay in the local hospital after a fall in her home, initially for respite care but with her decline in her vascular dementia condition she has stayed in the home. From my first meeting with the staff , I was impressed with the care the manager and staff had for my mother and all the residents. The staff are all kind and caring and take the time to chat with my mother. She seems to be quite settled in and it is so good to see her smiling and chatting with the staff during my regular visits.
She has not always been easy to mix with people but she seems to be getting on with the staff quite well.

I always feel welcome when I visit her and the staff always make me feel welcome and greet me with a friendly smile. I feel that she is in the best place and that I feel relaxed that she is being cared for.

My husband moved into Gresham Care Home a couple of weeks ago after a long spell in hospital following a sudden decline in his dementia. From my initial meeting, I was impressed with the clear care the manager had for all the residents. The staff are all kind and caring and take the time to chat to my husband. He seems to be settling in and it is so good to see him smiling and starting to eat again.

Gresham have been amazing in looking after my husband and keeping him safe, particularly from falls, at which he is high risk. Since his discharge from hospital they have been able to reduce his anxiety by distracting him and allowing to walk/ pace accompanied by a staff member at all times. He has put on a little weight and has settled in as much as his illness allows. If the weather allows they will take him out to the park which he loves. All the staff are friendly and courteous. Friends who visit comment on how caring they all are.
The nursing staff take his health very seriously and are quick off the mark if they feel there is something wrong - its not always easy to tell with someone with Alzheimer's but they look for signs and follow up any unease.

When I visit it's obvious all patients are being cared for, staff are always friendly and kind & since hubby has been in the care of Gresham, I have been able to relax knowing he will be safe and cared for. All I could wish.
