The prices are out of date here but apart from that, it's a wonderful place. All the staff but especially the care staff and activity staff make it a very friendly atmosphere. There are never, ever any obnoxious smells which if you've looked around other care facilities you'll be familiar with. That's such a major bonus in my opinion. The food hasn't been as fantastic as the TV advertisements but there's plenty of choice and if your loved one has allergies/sensitivities they're very careful to make sure that they avoid those foods that cause the problems. The nursing side of the care here is very attentive and any whisper of a medical problem is seen to straight away. I love that! Activities are regular and very inclusive. They always seem to make sure to include as many people as possible in these. Visiting is open and you can call at any time (try to avoid staff changeover times). There's an area you can go and sit for a coffee/ tea/ iced water - sometimes they even provide cake.

The care is sensitive and efficient. The facilities are very clean and welcoming, with 3 huge lounges, bright rooms with their own doors & windows. The nursing is second to none. The nurses were respectful and understanding. There were activities but as my mum couldn't access this the activities lady popped in and out to mum. As a visitor I loved the feeling of welcome and brilliant support.
My mother was kept immaculately clean and comfortable
Thankyou for you kind words about the care and support we were able to offer to your Mum during her stay with us at Oulton Park Care Centre. I will feedback your comments to the wider team.
On mums birthday she was presented with cards and a present and a beautiful birthday cake from the staff, her room was decorated with a helium balloon and happy birthday banner which really cheered her up and put a smile on her face.
Mum sadly passed away on 2nd January and one of the ladies who has been there since mum moved in spent most of the day holding mums hand and stroking her hair until I arrived, she and one of the managers were really supportive.
A couple of weeks after mum passed away I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from the staff and management which was a lovely gesture. So a BIG Thankyou to everyone who looked after mum. The member of staff who spent so much time with mum in her final hours deserves the staff member of the month award.
Thankyou for your kind words about the care and support we were able to offer your Mum during her stay with us here at Oulton Park Care Centre. It was a privilege to be able to support you all in the last weeks of her life. I will feed back your comments to the wider team.
She was treated with dignity and respect.

Mums room ensuite and roomy. Bed to floor with sensory mat. I was contacted whenever mum fell.

Very welcoming. All staff friendly and easy to talk with. Surroundings very calming for the residents.
Very satisfied with the care my brother is getting. Nursing staff getting to know his character! Learnt a bit about how to relate to my brothers mental condition.
Management helpful friendly.
Activity staff work very hard and do a wonderful job to fulfil residents.
Food is very good.

My husband was cared for, for 5 weeks before he passed away on 19th June. All the staff were kind, patient professional and caring, which gave me and my family peace of mind. Having a view from his bedroom was lovely, and he sat outside sometimes. Special thanks to the manager who helped me with the admin for funding. Congratulations on your excellent service.

Thank you for your lovely words about the care that was given by Oulton Park to your Dad. I am pleased to read that the care we gave him was of the high standard and that the whole home team were friendly, kind and helpful. I will pass your feedback to the team - thank you once again.
My mum spent her last 5 months here receiving excellent 24/7 care. I couldn't have wished for her to be in a better place with wonderful staff. Everybody was so very caring, considerate, thoughtful and respectful, nothing was ever too much trouble. From the start, admin made us feel like part of the family. With a nurse on duty 24/7 I felt comfortable my mum was cared for day and night. The dedicated carers are second to none, they are simply lovely human beings. Everywhere is clean & tidy. Daily entertainment and a weekly what's on programme circulated each week. A good choice of tasty meals freshly prepared served by friendly and helpful staff. The atrium is a lovely room to enjoy a drink & cake when visiting. A good size room fully furnished with en-suite. Ample car parking and gardens with colourful flowers in bloom. I felt reassured that mum was well looked after and I enjoyed quality time with her when visiting. Overall, high quality caring at its best, its like a 5 star hotel.
Thank you for submitting such a lovely response and great feedback. I am humbled that your mother's experiences at Oulton Park were so positive. We are proud of our team and facilities and continue to drive improvements to make our resident's home feel special.
Visited my friend for the first time recently at this fantastic Care Home - Upon entry I was greeted with warm, friendly smiles from the professional Receptionist who knowledgably answered my questions and took time to explain further information to me whilst showing me to my friends room - This home is clean and fresh and it's easy to see how comfortable the residents are here - other staff we met along the corridor all knew my friends details and requirements, despite him only staying here for a short period of time thus far - Nothing was too much trouble - my friend looked healthier and much more happier here, as opposed to when I last saw him at the hospital - I am pleased that he is now residing under the supervision of caring, attentive staff who are clearly well managed and clearly work together as a team - Great service deserves appreciation so....."well done" - "Thank you" and see you again soon x
Thank you Bradley for your review of the care we have been giving to your friend who is living with us here at Oulton Park. We love to have feedback from resident's friends and relatives and take great pride in the job we do to make everyone's stay here as happy as can be.Your feedback will be shared with the team - so thank you once again.
Oulton Park is such a lovely care home, it's clean and well-kept, always smelling fresh as soon as you walk in. Staff are very friendly and meet you with smiles, ask after you and make sure you're okay. The food is fresh and is presented beautifully. All in all, I can't complain. The friend I came in to visit is also happy with the care she is receiving.
Thank you for your wonderful review - we are pleased your friend is happy with the care they are receiving from the team at Oulton Park. With Kind Regards, David
My mum has really changed since she has lived at Barchester Oulton Park Care Home. Her life has been enriched by constant, caring company, helpful routines and wonderful activities. She is always smiley and eager to speak to staff as well as other clients. She is eager to thank them and appreciates all the staff do for her. As her daughter, I feel nothing but relief and gratitude.
