I have found Fairholme the most lovely, comfortable nursing home in every aspect of care and help towards my husbands family. My husband wants for nothing. Food is excellent and help given to him when he was unable to feed himself. The family was also looked after which helps in such distressing times. The manager and staff were very caring people - not like some we hear about. I don't think I could have coped so well if it weren't for them.

My father passed away on Monday 18th March after spending a year at this lovely care home. All of the staff team treated him with dignity and respect throughout. Dad could be difficult at times, but the staff still loved him. Four years before this they looked after my mum as well. The care received made me not hesitate Fairholme when dad needed care.

My Father in law was a resident of Fairholme Nursing Home until he passed away in February.
He lived there for over 2 years.
The care given to him was second to none.
All his needs were met, even as his health declined.
The staff were friendly to all family members and approachable when questions were asked.
We all felt safe with the home to undertake any decisions concerning his care.
I would recommend the home to anyone.

Outstanding care provider.

From the moment that my father unfortunately arrived at the care home to his last breath, Fairholme staff (cleaners to nursing staff) made his/our time there a lot more pleasurable. I cannot fault any of them from going the extra mile to source his favourite food to visiting him in his room (bed bound after 2 months) and just having a bit of a chat to him. All of the staff are on my list of favourite people, in fact we all felt like one big family when we were there. Care/nursing homes have had a bad press in the recent years, well I can put my hand on my heart and say "Not at Fairholme".

The atmosphere at Fairholme is warm and welcoming and positive. The home seems well managed and care staff were accessible, making it easy to discuss care needs and keen to uphold the dignity of the resident. At the end of life, staff were skilled and sensitive. The food was always appetising, staff helping with eating and drinking and celebrating special occasions with the resident. Some of the room furniture was broken and run down and keeping track of residents belongings difficult. Overall though, a very positive experience.

My aunt was admitted to Fairholme Nursing Home in February of last year. Following a fall at home when a hip was broken. During her stay there she gradually deteriorated with memory loss and incontinence problems. The staff and management were absolutely first class in attending to her and we can only say how pleased we were with the care she experienced.

Fairholme's greatest strength lies with its team. My father and I were treated with nothing less than kindness, patience and empathy. Sadly, my father has recently died. I felt as if the staff felt this loss as keenly as I.

My dad was only there for 10 days. He died peacefully at the age of 92 of prostate cancer.
For the end of life care, we had hoped for more attendance to his needs in terms of time.
All the nurses did their best though.
They were friendly and supportive when they were there in his room, but it always took a long time for somebody to turn up when he had rung the bell.

The quality and presentation of the food was not very good.

I cannot fault the level of care that Mum received during her time at the home. Having been encouraged to visit at any time I witnessed the level of care that she received, consistently excellent. Her needs were very demanding but throughout Mum was treated with compassion, she was groomed well (that she liked) and regularly monitored for level of pain and her comfort. Most importantly her dignity was maintained. During family visits, we were all included on feedback of Mum's condition.

As the end neared, her treatment and care was adapted to suit her best. We were all made to feel welcome and part of the team. Brilliant caring staff (from the heart) and brilliant management team.

We could not fault the staff at Fairholme. Mum was always well dressed, clean and her hair done, which was important to her. They made sure she felt at home and valued as one of the Fairholme family. When we realised mum was nearing the end of her life, the home kept us informed every step of the way. their care and compassion, not only for mum but for all of us as a family, was very much appreciated. We can only say thank you and would have no qualms recommending Fairholme to anyone else seeking a home for themselves or loved ones.

My dad was at Fairholme Nursing Home for three months. We found the staff very friendly and caring. They are all extremely professional and well trained.
I would not hesitate to recommend Fairholme Nursing Home we had a lovely room with its own bathroom and was always clean and had all the aids dad needed. Dad felt very at home there.

The home was very well run and very efficient.

Mum aged 88 years with vascular dementia moved to Fairholme Nursing Home after being in hospital I can honestly say as soon as we entered the home it was such a welcome they couldn't have looked after her any better so kind and caring. Unfortunately mum passed away 2 months after being there but the support we had was excellent. Whenever we went she was clean, food was excellent and presented well. Even down to the cleaners who were so good and helpful.

Each has their own bedroom. Everywhere is clean and hoovered every day.

As below everything was excellent and my opinion was like walking into your own home. All the staff was welcoming. Facilities for tea/coffee etc you were able to help yourself. Whatever patient you speak to have said they love being in the home. They have an entertainments person who arranges visits from people that play organs/singing and many others to help the patients. Meals can be provided for visitors at a small charge. All laundry is taken care off.

Dad was cared for over 2 years at Fairholme and we can only praise the home for looking after him until his death. Obviously, the care given is not the same as at home with family, but the fact Dad was moved to a home meant we needed more nursing care for him. I really feel communication between all concerned is key to the best care being given.

Fairholme took my great-grandad in after being discharged from hospital and he looked amazing. The care they provided him with was outstanding.

The amount of time and care they put in was indescribable. One member of staff was in the room talking to him for 45minutes, although papa was unable to respond. Fairholme even know, still continues to keep in touch with lots of support from all staff.
